Thiruvallikkeni Theppothsavam ~ 2021 day 3 Sri Parthasarathi Sigathadai

 

It is  purely a  bonanza  !!   In the divyadesam of Thiruvallikkeni, there are  ‘ Grand Celebrations ’ throughout the year.... the tamil month of Masi has special significance.  On the Full moon [Pournami day and Magam Nakshathiram] Sri Parthasarathi Swami visits the shores of Marina, famously known as Masi Magam.   On Masi New moon [Amavasyai] starts the float festival at Thiruvallikkeni.   The tank of Sri Parthasarathi Swami is famous ~ it is‘Kairavini Pushkarini’ that attracts. 

The annual float festival of the Sri Parthasarathy Swamy temple starting every year on Maasi Ammavasai day  is a 7 day affair. The first three days, Sri Parthasarathi would embellish the theppam; the rest four days are for Sri Narasimhar, Sri Ramar, Sri Ranganathar and Sri Varadarajar. On day 1 after 5 rounds in Theppam, Sri Parthasarathi had purappadu in siriya thiruther.   

Panguni 2 (Mar 15) 2021 – Monday ~ was a great day  – being the third day of Theppothsavam at Thiruvallikkeni, Sri Parthasarathi had purappadu in the morning itself, reached Theppam and had thirumanjanam on the theppam – remained in the theppam throughout the day. Later in the evening after the float doing rounds in Kairavini Pushkarini, with thousands of people having darshan, He had periya mada veethi purappadu.  Every time you look at HIM -   – He looks refreshingly fresh and different.    Today, the added attraction was the kireedam (crown)  called ‘Sigathadai’.  On the Crown, reams of jasmine flower are tightly rolled and it is closed with ‘pure white silk’.  It was a great darshan to behold for the eyes of Bakthas.  

இன்று ஒரு அற்புத நாள்.  தெப்போத்சவத்தில் முதல் மூன்று நாள்களும்     ஸ்ரீபார்த்தசாரதி பெருமாள் எழுந்து அருள்கிறார்.  இன்று காலை  ஸ்ரீபார்த்தசாரதி  புறப்பாடு  கண்டு அருளி,  திருக்குளத்தில் தெப்ப திருமஞ்சனம்.  மாலை தெப்போத்சவம்.  தெப்பம்பற்றி - கம்பரின்  இராமாவதாரத்தில்- அயோத்யா காண்டம் வனம்புகு படலத்தில், அண்ணல் இராமபிரான் யமுனை ஆற்றை  கடந்தது பற்றிய காப்பிய வரிகள் ஈர்த்தன*  

வாங்கு வேய்ங் கழை துணித்தனன்;  மாணையின் கொடியால்,

ஓங்கு தெப்பம் ஒன்று அமைத்து,   அதன் உம்பரின், உலம்போல்

வீங்கு தோள் அண்ணல்;    தேவியோடு இனிது வீற்றிருப்ப,

நீங்கினான், அந்த நெடு நதி,  இரு கையால் நீந்தி,.

                   இளையோன் ஆன இலக்குவணன்,  வளையும் தன்மையுள்ள மூங்கிற்கழிகளை வெட்டி;  மானைக் கொடிகளைக் கொண்டு;  உயர்ந்த தெப்பம் ஒன்று அமைத்து -  அதன்மேல் திரண்ட தோள்களை உடைய இராமன்; தேவியொடு இனிது வீற்றிருப்ப - அந்தப் பெரிய யமுனை நதியை; இருகையால் நீந்தி – கடந்தானாம்.

தெப்பத்தில் இருந்து இறங்கி பெருமாள் பெரிய மாட வீதி புறப்பாடு கண்டு அருளினார்.   அற்புதமான சாற்றுப்படியில்  ஸ்ரீ பார்த்தசாரதி மிக அழகுற மிளிர்ந்தார்.  "சிகத்தாடை" எனும் தலைக்கிரீடம்,  ராஜாக்கள் அணியும் கொண்டை போல அழகு மிளிர்ந்தது. கிரீடத்தின் மீது பல முழங்கள் மல்லிகை பூ சாற்றி, அதன் மீது வெள்ளை பட்டு உடுத்தி தயாரான கிரீடம் அணிந்து, எங்கள் பெருமாள் சிறப்புற வீதி புறப்பாடு  கண்டு அருளினார்.   புறப்பாட்டின் போது எடுக்கப்பட்ட சில படங்கள் இங்கே:
