இன்று அற்புத நாள் ~ ஜகம் புகழும் ஸ்ரீ ராமபிரான் அவதரித்த நல்நாள். 

Today (13^th Apr 2019)  is the holy day of Sree Rama Navami – the day on which Lord Sri Ramachandra murthy, the supreme avatar was born in the blessed land of  Ayodhya.  Lord Rama descended on earth for the purpose of upholding righteousness and rewarding virtue. The Greatest of  Ithihasa purana ‘Sri Ramayanam’  is the undiluted history of the Greatest Person who descended on this Universe.. .. ..   ~ and there is also the  great character – a warrior, mightily powerful, whose body was as hard as a diamond, whose speed equalled those of fastest flying eagles, who possessed great wisdom, who could organize a group of roaming ones, who can jump hundreds of miles, yet who remained at the feet of his Master, totally committed thinking of their welfare alone – unassuming, yet capable of telling the right things at the right moment – that is Pavana Puthra Hanuman – Aanjaneya, who is called ‘siriya thiruvadi’ – bearer of Lord Rama – who carried Rama on his shoulders during the war in which the demon was killed.  

As he traversed the samudra and landed at Lanka, in search of Sita Mata, he trailed destruction killing demons and devastating the property of Ravana.  Getting the news of the power of Hanuman,  Ravana ordered Rakshasas known as Kinkaras, Valmiki describes them to be 80000 – mighty, big and powerful demons. They too were killed – later as  Hanuman decided to stop the fighting and meet Ravana, he was over-powered  and taken to the courtyard of Ravana where he introduced himself thus,

अहं तु हनुमान्नाम मारुतस्यौरसस्सुतः । सीतायास्तु कृते तूर्णम् शतयोजनमायतम् ।

समुद्रं लङ्घयित्वैव तां दिदृक्षुरिहागतः । भ्रमता च मया दृष्टा गृहे ते जनकात्मजा ॥

அஹம் து ஹநுமாந்நாம மாருதஸ்யௌரஸஸ்ஸுத: ।

ஸீதாயாஸ்து க்ருதே தூர்ணம்

ஸதயோஜநமாயதம் । ஸமுத்ரம் லங்கயித்வைவ ॥

My name is Hanuman, born to the mighty Vayu.  I came here searching for Seetha matha, I hopped over 100 yojana wide ocean and as I roamed around, I saw the daughter of Janaka in your house  ..    …… ……….

இன்று அற்புத நாள் ~ ஜகம் புகழும் ஸ்ரீ ராமபிரான் அவதரித்த நல்நாள்.  நன்மையளிப்பவனும், இணையற்றவனும்,  தாமரைக்கண்ணனும், பூசிக்க தக்கவனுமாகிய - இராமபிரானின் அருள் பெறாதவர் - இருந்தும், என்ன செய்தும் என்ன பயன் என வினவினாராம் தியாகய்யர்.  ஸ்ரீ ராமபிரான் முடி சூட வந்தபோது, அவரை பார்த்த அயோத்தி மக்கள் :

‘உய்த்தது இவ்வுலகம்’ என்பார்; ‘ஊழி காண்கிற்பாய்’ என்பார்;

‘மைந்த! நீ கோடி எங்கள் வாழ்க்கை நாள் யாவும்’

~  “செய்ய முடியாத தவத்தை செய்து இப்படி ஒரு செம்மலைப் பெற்றெடுத்த தசரத மன்னனுக்கு என்ன கைம்மாறு செய்யப்போகிறோம்,?”   என புகழ்ந்து மகிழ்ந்தனாராம் அயோத்தி மக்கள்.

யுகத்தின் மர்யாதா புருஷ்  ஸ்ரீராமபிரானின் உண்மை காதையாம்  'ஸ்ரீராமாயணத்தில்" தூது சென்ற அனுமனின் பெருமை சிறப்பானது.  கம்ப நாட்டாழ்வான், அனுமனை முதலில் வர்ணிக்கும் போதே : எம் மலைக் குலமும் தாழ,  இசை சுமந்து, எழுந்த தோளான்  ~ என்கிறார்.  வாயுபுத்ர அனுமானது தோள்கள் மலைக்கூட்டத்தினும் உயர்ந்தும் வலிமையுடையனவாயும் இருத்தலால் 'எம்மலைக் குலமும்' தாழ எனப்பட்டது;  புகழ் ஆகிய சுமையைச் சுமந்தும் தாழாமல் உயர்ந்த தோள் என்று மேலும் தோள்களின் சிறப்பை உணர்த்த, 'இசை சுமந்து எழுந்த' என அடைமொழி தரப்பட்டது

'மாணிஆம் படிவம் அன்று, மற்று   இவன் வடிவம்; மைந்த!

ஆணி இவ் உலகுக்கு எல்லாம்  என்னலாம் ஆற்றற்கு ஏற்ற

சேண் உயர் பெருமைதன்னைச்   சிக்கு அறத் தெளிந்தேன்; பின்னர்க்

காணுதி மெய்ம்மை' என்று,      தம்பிக்குக் கழறி, கண்ணன் **

ஒருவனை பார்த்த மாத்திரத்திலேயே அவனது குணங்களை அறியும் ஆற்றல் பெற்ற இராமபிரான், இளையவன் இலக்குவனிடம்,   இவனது வடிவம்   இப்போது காணப்பெறும் சாதாரண பிரமச்சாரி வடிவம் அன்று;  இவ்வுலகுக்கு எல்லாம் அச்சாணி என்று சொல்லக்கூடிய,  திறமைக்கு ஏற்றதாகிய, மிகவும் மேம்பட்ட சிறப்புக்களை உடையவன் என்பதே மெய்ம்மை -  என்று உரைத்தான்

                 The mighty Hanuman excelled in his role as emissary -   Hanuman was destined to bigger deeds – of organizing an army comprising of monkeys in search of Sita, his great leap into the sea, crossing it and reaching the fortified Lanka; slaying wicked demon and meeting Sita at Ashoka vanam; sitting majestically before the King Ravana and burning the whole of Lanka ……… more than all these, the one role he relished most was carrying the ‘Ithihasa Purush’ on his shoulders and thus earning the title ‘Siriya Thiruvadi’ – the carrier of Lord Sri Rama
