இனிய விஜய வருஷ தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு நல்வாழ்த்துக்கள்
A very happy
Good Morning to all of you on this glorious ‘Tamil New Year Day’. Today, 13th April 2013 marks the
beginning of a new “Vijaya Varusham”
As most of
you would know, Tamil years have beautiful names and are sixty in number…….. it
is “Vijaya
Varusham” now.
The previous five were : Sarvadhari, Virodhi, Vikruthi, Kara, Nandana
[Nandana was the preceding year and in that order] ~ the 10 years that are to
follow are : “Jaya, Manmatha, Dhunmukhi, He Vilambi, Vilambi, Vihari, Saarvari,
Pilava, Suba Kruthu, Sobha kruthu”…… For the few of my friends, who may not
readily know the tamil months ~ “Chithirai, Vaikasi, Aani, Aadi, Aavani, Purattasi, Aippasi, Karthigai, Margazhi, Thai, Masi & Panguni’
On this day,
all of us should visit Temples and pray for the benefit of all dear to us.
Visit elders, fall at their feet and get
their blessings, greet all known people ‘Happy Tamil New Year” and do good things
that would please others and be of help to society.
Very many
centuries ago, descended on this earth, the Greatest Maryada Purush, the Man
broad chested as a lion, with long hands, who can handle Bow and arrow with
great ease and precision, highly valorous still extremely conscientious, a
great Scholar, champion of self-righteousness;
protector of His people and a Man who lived to show ‘How life should be lived
in its purest manner, respecting elders, adherence to the thoughts of parents
without any thought, never uttering unwanted words, keeping promises all the
time ~ and that was the Greatest “Lord Sri Rama”
Sri Rama
Navami Uthsavam is on…. Today, is the third day of the Uthsavam and at
Thiruvallikkeni divyadesam Sri Ramar had purappadu on Garuda vahanam. Sri
Ramanavami is on Friday, 19th April 2013.
with regards
