It is no longer Indian Summer – it is July, monsoon about to start in parts of India yet it has been very hot and humid in Chennai and most parts of Tamil Nadu !!
Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind; and therefore is winged Cupid painted blind !!
Four Athenians run away to the forest only to have Puck the fairy make the boys fall in love with the same girl. The four run through the forest pursuing each other while Puck helps his master play a trick on the fairy queen. In the end, Puck reverses the magic, and the two couples reconcile and marry.
Indian monsoon, provides welcome water to agricultural lands and water bodies. It blows from the northeast during cooler months and reverses direction to blow from the southwest during the warmest months of the year. This process brings large amounts of rainfall to the region during June and July. At the Equator the area near India is unique in that dominant or frequent westerly winds occur at the surface almost constantly throughout the year; with it go atmospheric instability, convectional (that is, rising and turbulent) clouds, and rain. The westerly subtropical jet stream still controls the flow of air across northern India, and the surface winds are northeasterlies.
Our
State of Tamil Nadu, has witnessed summer rains in the Northern part of the State. Heavy rains
and flash floods were witnessed in some places in the interior districts of the
State. The residents of Chennai and its suburban areas experienced light
showers intermittently yet there has been no respite from the heat. The
situation is likely to continue and we hope for rains which would bring the temperatures down from the scorching heat.

- அவர்கள் செய்யும் கைங்கர்யங்களுமே ! இவற்றை தவிர ஆழ்வார் பாசுரங்களுக்கு அற்புத
வியாக்கியானம் அருளிச்செய்த பூர்வர்களும், இந்நாளில் காலக்ஷேபம் சாதித்து நம்மை பாசுரங்களின்
அற்புத ஆழ்ந்த அர்த்தங்களை உணர்ந்து அனுபவிக்க வைக்கும் அதிகாரிகளும். இவற்றில்
கச்சி ஸ்வாமி எனும் பிரதிவாதி பயங்கரம் அண்ணங்கராச்சார் சுவாமி நமக்கு இட்டுச்சென்ற
அமுதங்கள் மிக மிக இனிப்பானவை.
Today 2nd
July 2025 is day 7 – the concluding day of Kodai Uthsavam. During
Kodai Uthsavam, Sri Parthasarathi and Ubaya Nachimar have purappadu in separate
kedayams… and on day 7 it was exceptionally grand… in
every sense – He adorned a predominantly ornate white dress ~ the floral alankaram
was exceptional… first it was the most fragrant one made of mullai buds
[jasmine]; then a beautiful garland made of – jasmine, vrutchi,
kathambam; and a beautiful pathakkam in the posterior too. As the
Emperor, He had a wonderful Crown called ‘sigathadai’ – tightly woven around
with reams of fresh jasmine flowers with white robe and a kingly ornament
atop that.

ஆழ்வார்கள் தங்கள்
பக்தியினால் எம்பெருமானிடத்திலே ஆழ்ந்து மையலுற்று அற்புத பாசுரங்களை நமக்கு அளித்தவர்கள். ஸ்வாமி
நம்மாழ்வாரின் திருவாய்மொழியோ எக்காலத்துக்கும் ஒரு ஒப்பற்ற களஞ்சியம். இரண்டாம்
பத்து ஐந்தாம் திருமொழியில் ஆழ்வார் தம்மோடே எம்பெருமான் கலக்கும்போது
ஒரு வடிவோடே கலந்து த்ருப்தி பெற மாட்டாதே பல வடிவுகள் கொண்டு கலந்து அநுபவிக்கும்
படியை அருளிச்செய்கிறார்.
“செங்கமலக்கழலில்
சிற்றிதழ்போல் விரலில் சேர்திகழாழிகளும் கிண்கிணியும் அரையில் தங்கிய பொன்வடமும் தாள
நன்மாதுளையின் பூவொடு பொன்மணியும் மோதிரமுங்கிறியும் மங்கல வைம்படையுந் தோள்வளையும்
குழையும் மகரமும் வாளிகளும் சுட்டியும்” என்கிறபடியே
திருவாபரணங்கள் எண்ணிறந்தவை. எம்பெருமானுடைய திருக்குணங்களுக்கும், திருவவதாரங்களுக்கும்
திவ்ய சேஷ்டிதங்களுக்கும், வாசகங்களான திருநாமங்களும் பலபலவாயிருக்கும். அநுபவிக்குங்
காலத்தில் நாமக்ரஹணத்திற்கு இழிந்தவிடமெல்லாம் துறையாகும். சீலப்பேர்கள்
வீரப்பேர்கள் என்று அநேகமாயிருக்குமே. இதையே ஸ்வாமி நம்மாழ்வார் தம் பாசுரத்திலே
:
பலபலவேயாபரணம் பேரும் பலபலவே,
பலபலவே சோதி வடிவு பண்பெண்ணில்,
பலபல கண்டுண்டு கேட்டுற்றுமோந்தின்பம்,
பலபலவே ஞானமும் பாம்பணைமேலாற்கேயோ.
என சாதிக்கின்றார். திருப்பாற்கடலிலே
ஆதிசேஷனைப் பள்ளியாகக் கொண்டிருக்கும் பெருமானுக்கு பண்பு எது
என எண்ணில், ஆழ்வார் தம் கலவியாலுண்டான அழகை நிரூபித்துப் பார்க்குமிடத்து,
திருவாபரணங்கள் மிகப் பலவாயிருக்கும்; ஒளியுருவான திருமேனி மிகப்
பலவாயிருக்கும்; பார்த்தும் உண்டும் கேட்டும் ஸ்பர்சித்தும் முகர்ந்து
உண்டாகிற சுகங்களும் மிகப்பலவாயிருக்கும்; ஞானங்களும் மிக மிகவாம்.
அவ்வளவு உயர்ந்த ஸ்ரீமந்நாரணனின் திருத்தாள்களை பற்றுவோர்க்கு என்றென்றும் எந்த
குறையுமே இராது.
The plot of four Athenians fleeing is that of ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream’ - a comedy play written by William Shakespeare in 1596. The play is set in Athens, and consists of several subplots that revolve around the marriage of Theseus and Hippolyta. One subplot involves a conflict among four Athenian lovers. Another follows a group of six amateur actors rehearsing the play which they are to perform before the wedding. Both groups find themselves in a forest inhabited by fairies who manipulate the humans and are engaged in their own domestic intrigue. A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of Shakespeare's most popular and widely performed plays.

Perumal purappadu started but towards the end of South Mada Street, it rained
very heavily – the purappadu was curtailed and Perumal entered Thirukkovil
through the Western gate – thiruvanthikappu was performed in the mandapam
before Azhagiyasingar sannathi and thence Unjal before Periya sannathi.
