Can you imagine what Swami Nammalwar says  that he is incapable of !?!

Parts of the southern Indian city of Bengaluru, India's Silicon Valley are under water after heavy rainfall. The city is on high alert for more pre-monsoon showers   due to cyclonic formations over the Andaman Sea, according to authorities.

Flood is a common word ! flooding causes havoc.  A flood is an overflow of water) that submerges land that is usually dry. It is escape of water from its natural confines.  Floods are caused by many factors or a combination of any of these generally prolonged heavy rainfall, breach of its confines, highly accelerated snowmelt, severe winds over water, unusual high tides, tsunamis, or failure of dams, levees, retention ponds, or other structures that retained the water. Flooding can be exacerbated by increased amounts of impervious surface. During times of rain, some of the water is retained in ponds or soil, some is absorbed by grass and vegetation, some evaporates, and the rest travels over the land as surface runoff. Floods occur when ponds, lakes, riverbeds, soil, and vegetation cannot absorb nor retain all the water.

Ever heard of ‘glory flood’ ! -  the most likely meaning  being a metaphor or a specific type of flood. In a metaphorical sense, it could refer to a sudden and overwhelming experience of joy, achievement, or recognition. In a more literal sense, it could refer to a flood caused by a release of water, often associated with glacial outburst floods or other similar events.

Here is a picture of Sri Parthasarathi Emperuman oozing with radiance… .. Swami Nammazhvar in his Thiruvaimozhi pasuram says :  I am not fit to describe your infinite glory-flood.  When will I reach its banks? Alas, I swoon with love. O Lord of faultless effulgence  !

Effulgence, is  the quality of shining brightly or radiating with light. It describes a state of looking very beautiful or full of goodness. Essentially, effulgence implies a radiant or dazzling brightness, often used in a figurative sense.
