Kavi Chakravarthi hails the birth of Yuga Purush Sri Ramapiran thus .. the divine dancers danced merrily; mellifluous songs were played in instruments, Devas and others danced celebrating that the evil would vanished once for all ~ there was merriment everywhere celebrating the birth of Sri Rama. யுகங்களின் அற்புத புருஷனான ஸ்ரீ ராமபிரான் பிறப்பை எண்ணி பெறுவகையுற்று, வானுலகத்து நடனப்பெண்கள் -  அரம்பை முதலிய தேவமாதர், மகிழ்ச்சி பொங்கிட ஆடினார்கள்.  கின்னரர்கள் அமுதத்தை ஒத்த இனிய ஏழ் இசைகளைப் பாடினர்;    பலவகை  வாத்தியங்கள்  கொட்டப்பட்டன;  தீய்மை ஒழிந்தது,   தீய  அரக்கர்கள்  அழிந்தனர் என்று தேவர்களும் மற்றையோரும் ஆர்ப்பரித்தனர்.   இவ்வாறு தேவர்பிரானான ஸ்ரீ ராமபிரான் பிறப்பு மூவுலகலித்திலும் எண்ணற்ற ஆனந்தத்தை அளித்தது.  இந்த ஜகம் புகழும் புண்ணிய காதையான 'ஸ்ரீ ராமாயணத்தை'  பாடுவோர்க்கும் கேட்போர்க்கும் எல்லா நல்லதும் நடக்கும்.

Azadirachta indica, also known as Neem, is a tree in the mahogany family Meliaceae. It is one of two species in the genus Azadirachta, and is native to India, and parts of Asia, growing in tropical and semi-tropical regions. Neem tree is the official tree of the Sindh Province and is very common in all cities of Sindh.  The neem tree is noted for its drought resistance.

Yugādi, is the New Year's Day for the people of the Deccan region of India. The name Yugadi or Ugadi is derived from the Sanskrit words yuga (age) and ādi (beginning): "the beginning of a new age". In Temples on the occasion of Ugadi ‘panchangam’ will be read.   Gudi Padwa is celebrated by Marathi speaking people; Ugadi is celebrated in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh; . Cheti Chand is the festival of the Sindhi community.  In Maharashtra, Gudi Padwa has the legend that it on this day Lord Rama returned victorious to Ayodhya.   In Andhra, Ugadi pachhadi is a delicacy made on the occasion and shared with all. It  is a specific mixture of six tastes – with neem buds; jiggery; green chilli/pepper; salt; tamarind; unripened mango being its ingredients. 

For another 7  days it is  Sree Ramanavami Uthsavam.  மன்னு புகழ்  கௌசலை  தன் மணி  வயிறு  வாய்த்த  சக்கரவர்த்தி திருமகனாம் ஸ்ரீ ராமபிரானின்  திருவவதார மகோத்சவம்  ஸ்ரீராம நவமி.   The Thiruvavathara Mahothsvam of Lord Rama is Sree Ramanavami.

ஸ்ரீமணவாளமாமுனிகள் திருவத்யயன உத்சவம்

ஆசார்ய சார்வபௌமர் நலமந்தமில்லாதோர் திருநாட்டை அலங்கரித்த தினம் ~  திருவத்யயனம்  (தீர்த்தம்) என ஸ்ரீவைணவர்களால் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இது நம் ஒப்பிலா மணவாள மாமுனிகளுக்கு மிக சிறப்பாக திருவரங்கத்திலும்  திருப்பதியிலும்  கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. 

Today, mAsi dwadasi is the thiruvadhyayana day of our reverred acarya, Swami Manvala Mamunigal.b The day on which an acharya leaves the samsara (sorrow filled material world) and reaches paramapadam (spiritual world of Sriman Narayana which contains unlimited happiness) is celebrated every year as Thiruvadhyayanam or Theertham.  It is the  prime duty of every  sishya  to celebrate the thirunakshatram and theertha dinam of his acharya.  This is shown to the world by Namperumal Himself who does the duties of a shisya on this day to his acharya, Sri Manavala Mamunigal  every year. 

In Thiruvallikeni,  the thiruvathyayana mahotsavam gets  celebrated in the Vanamamalai mutt with thiruvaimozhi ghosti, upadesaratina malai and thiruvaimozhi nootrandhAdhi ghosti. 

ஸ்ரீ வைஷ்ணவத்தின் சொர்க்க பூமியான  பூலோக வைகுண்டத்தில் நிகழ்ந்த முகம்மதியர் படையெடுப்பால் பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கானோர் கோயிலையும், நம்பெருமாளையும் பாதுகாக்கும் பணியில் ஈடுபட்டு இன்னுயிர் ஈந்தனர்.   வெள்ளநீர் பரந்து பாயும் விரிபொழிலரங்கம் எனும் புகழ்ச்சி பெற்ற திருவரங்கத்து மதில்களும்,  வீதிகளும் அங்கு வாழ்ந்த ஸ்ரீவைஷ்ணவர்கள் துயரங்களை கண் நோக்கிய  - பதினான்காம் நூற்றாண்டின் ஆரம்பம் மிக மோசமாக தொடங்கியது. டெல்லியை ஆண்டு வந்த சுல்தான்கள், பெரும் செல்வசெழிப்போடு வாழ்ந்து வந்த தமிழகத்தை சூறையாட படை எடுத்த காலம் அது.  சுமார் அறுபது ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேலாக கோயிலும், கோயில் நிர்வாகமும் ஸ்தம்பித்த வரலாறும் ஸ்ரீ வைஷ்ணவத்தின் ஏடுகளில் ஓர் இருண்ட காலமாகும்.  இதனால் பாழ்பட்டு இருந்த இக்காலத்தில் பழைய பெருமைகள்  மீண்டும் ஒளிர, ஸ்ரீ வைஷ்ணவம் என்னும் ஆலமரம் தழைக்க ராமானுஜரின் மறு அவதாரமாக தோன்றினார் ஸ்ரீ மணவாள மாமுனிகள்

Sri  Manavala Mamunigal, the reincarnation of Adisesha, is fondly known as ‘Yatheendra Pravanar’ arising out of his irresistible attachment to the lotus feet of Sri Ramanujar [Yatheendrar].   He was born in Sikkil Kidaram in AD 1370.  At birth he was known as ‘Azhagiya Manavala Perumal Nayanaar’.  Later he was hailed in very many names such as ‘Yatheendra Pravanar’, Ramyajamathru, Saumyajamatru, Visada-Vak-Sikhamani,  Varayogi, Varavaramuni and more…..  He lived for 73 years on this earth performing many Kainkaryams  at Sri Rangam and undertook many pilgrimages to many  Sri Vaishnava Divyadesams spreading knowledge and bakthi culture.   His patent style was to elucidate the pramanams fully   ‘following the words of the Purvarcharyas without deviating a wee bit’.   He filled  his vyakhyana granthas with the words of purvAcharyas. 

At the foothills of most divine Thirumala lies Thirupathi – where the ancient temple of Sri Govindarajar is famous.  This temple was consecrated by our Emperumanar and is one of the earliest structures around which the tourist city of Tirupathi lies.  Here are some photos of Sri Govindaraja Swami temple and our Acaryar Swami Manavala Mamunigal sannathi.

இன்று திருமாசி உத்திராடம். கோயில் கந்தாடை சண்டமாருதம் சுவாமி தொட்டாச்சார்ய சுவாமி திருவவதார உத்சவம்.

வாதூல குல திலகர் இவர். ஸ்வாமி எம்பெருமானாருடைய திரிதண்ட ஸ்தானமான ஸ்ரீ முதலியாண்டானுடைய திருக்குமாரர் கந்தாடையாண்டான் ~ பெருமாள் தோழப்பர், போரேற்று நாயகன், அரசப்பை, கந்தாடை நாயன், ஆகியோருக்குப்பின் தேவராஜ குரு என்னும் ஸ்ரீனிவாச மகாகுருவின் பௌத்திரரும், இராமானுஜ சித்தாந்தத்திற்கு உசாத்துணையாய் சண்ட மாருத பஞ்ச விஜயாதி பிரபந்த பிரவர்த்தகச்சார்யராய் ஸ்ரீ பக்தோசித சுவாமி திருக்கோவில் சன்னதியில் அர்ச்சாரூபியாய் எழுந்தருளியிருக்கும் கோயில் கந்தாடை சண்டமாருதம் சுவாமி தொட்டாச்சார்ய ஸ்வாமி திருவவதார உத்சவம் இன்று.

சோளசிம்ஹபுரம் என்று பெருமை பெற்ற, 'திருக்கடிகை' என ஆழ்வார்களால் மங்களாசாசனம் செய்யப் பெற்ற 'இன்றைய சோளிங்கர்' - ஒரு அற்புதமான திவ்யதேசம்.  இத்திருக்கோயில் திருப்பணியை ஸ்வாமி தொட்டாச்சார்யார் வம்சத்தினர் தொடர்ந்து ஐந்து நூற்றாண்டுகளாகச் சிறப்புறச் செய்து வருகின்றனர்.  இந்த உற்சவம் இம்மாதம்4ஆந் தேதி தொடங்கி இன்று 13.3.2018 சாற்றுமுறை.   திருக்கடிகையிலே இன்று காலை ஸ்ரீ சுவாமி தொட்டாச்சார்யர்  அதிகாலை 5 மணிக்கு  அக்காரக்கனி எம்பெருமான் திருக்கோயிலில் இருந்து பல்லக்கில் புறப்பாடு கண்டருளி திருமலைக்கு (பெரியமலை) எழுந்தருளித் தாயார், பெருமாள் சந்நிதிகளில் மங்களாசாசனம் செய்ருது  பெருமாள் சந்நிதியில் அலங்கார திருமஞ்சனம்,  திருப்பாவை சாற்றுமறை தீர்த்த விநியோகம் நடைபெற்று, மாலை 5 மணிக்கு ஸ்ரீ தக்கானுடன் புறப்பாடு கண்டு அருள்வார்.

The Sri Vaishnavaite and Thennacharya Sampradhayam places great emphasis on following the path shown by Acharyan and our Sampradhayam is pround of the rich  lineage of greatest of Acharyars who have guided us towards salvation.  Today is a great day for us the sishyas of Sri U Ve Koil Kanthadai Chandamarutham Doddacharyar  Swami.

Today 13^th Mar 2018 is Thirumasi Utharadam, the thiruvavathara mahothsavam of our Acharyar.   In  Kali Yuga – Sri DevapPerumal had direct interaction with Thirukachi Nambigal and our Doddacharyar Swami.   During the  most famous Garuda Sevai – at Thirukachi,  Lord Devapperumal is taken in procession on vahanam of Garuda also known as Periya Thiruvadi.  Garuda Seva has special significance not only for Kanchi, more so for  Sholinghur because of Swami Doddachaaryar connection ~ when Lord on Garuda flew down to   Sholinghur and gave darshan to Doddacharyar

From Emperumanar (Sri Ramanujar) – the lineage flows through Sri Mudaliandan, Swami Kanthadai Andan, Perumal Thozhappar, Porerru Nayakan, Arasappai, Kanthadai Naayan, Devaraja Guru (Srinivasa Maha Guru)- Swami Thoddayachar is worshipped in the sannathi of Sri Akkarakkani Emperuman thirukovil and this lineage has been rendering great service to the temple for centuries.

We are proud to follow the lineage of  Doddacharyar and follow the footsteps of our Acharyan - Sri U Ve Koil Kanthadai Chandamarutham Singarachaar Swami. Here is the thanian of our Varthamana Swami….

I have been posting about the serene Thavana Uthsavam and now it is for Thelliya Singar at Thiruvallikkeni divyadesam.  On all these 3 days, Sri Azhagiya Singar has different sarruppadi (Thirukolams)  ~ today 7^th Mar 2018 being day 2 – Sri Thelliya Singar blessed us as ‘Murali Kannan’ – the divine flautist. 

Flute is a family of a musical instrument in the woodwind group. The legend is that when flowers were in full bloom during spring time, Krishna played the flute and all the senses of residents came together to create divinity and the gopis spontaneously danced with Krishna to that music of flute on the sands of the Yamuna and in the garden of Vrindavan.

One would well remember the Kannadasan song :

புல்லாங்குழல் கொடுத்த மூங்கில்களே – எங்கள் புருஷோத்தமன் புகழ் பாடுங்களே

வண்டாடும் கங்கை மலர்த் தோட்டங்களே - எங்கள் மதுசூதனன் புகழ் பாடுங்களே !
