Thiruvallikkeni Nampillai Sannathi ~ Thiruvengadamudaiyan Thirukolam 2020

                                 Sri Nampillai, in the Acharya paramparai is known for his scholastic excellence. He was the disciple of Sri Nanjeeyar and acharyar of Vadakku Thiruveethipillai. His commentary on Thiruvoimozhi known as Muppathu Aarayira(m)ppadi -  is considered as the best amongst the vyakyanams; considered equivalent to Thiruvoimozhi itself and  is celebrated as “Eedu” . 

ஸகல ஜகத்தையும் ரக்ஷிக்கும் எம்பெருமான்  திருமலையிலே நித்யஸந்நதி கொண்டுள்ளான். பக்தர்கள் மிக ஆவலாக ஏழுமலை ஏறி அவனை காண ஓடோடி வருகிறார்கள்.  மிகவும் ஓங்கின சிகரத்தையுடைய  திருமலையில் அவனை  சென்று வணங்குமின் !  .. முன்னாளில் அடர்காடுகள் நடுவே வன விலங்குகள் உலாவும் மலை மீது ஏறிச்செல்வது சிரமமானதாம். இப்போது, பேருந்துகள், கார்கள், இருசக்கர வாகனங்கள் தவிர பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கானோர் கால்நடையாக நடந்து திலகமாய் விளங்குகின்ற  திருமலை சென்று  திருப்பதி பாலாஜி ஏழுமலையானை எளிதில் வணங்குகின்றனர்.  லக்ஷக்கணக்கானோர் தினமும் வருவதால், சில நொடிகளே அவனது சேவை கிட்டும்.  இவ்வளவு சிறப்பு வாய்ந்த திருவேங்கடமுடையான் - திருப்பதி ஸ்ரீனிவாசராக பல ஸ்தலங்களிலே நமக்கு காட்சி அளிக்கிறார். 

திருவல்லிக்கேணியில் இராப்பத்து உத்சவத்தில் ஆறாம் நாள் - திருவாய்மொழி பாசுரம் ஆறாம் பத்து - பத்தாம் திருவாய்மொழி  பாசுரத்துக்கு ஏற்ப ஸ்ரீபார்த்தசாரதி பெருமாள் திருவேங்கடமுடையான் ஆக சேவை சாதிக்கிறார்.  On the 6^th day of  Irapathu uthsavam at Thiruvallikkeni, Sri Parthasarathi Swami blesses devotees  in  ‘Thiru Venkadam Udaiyan” Thirukkolam, in tune with the sarrumurai pasuram of Thiruvaimozhi 6^th canto 10^th decad -  ‘Ulagam Unda Thiruvaaya’ pasuram..   

 

 

இதோ இங்கே ஸ்வாமி நம்மாழ்வாரின் மற்றோரு திருவேங்கடமலை சிறப்பு பாசுரம் : 

வண்ணமருள்கொள் அணிமேக வண்ணா!   மாய அம்மானே!

எண்ணம் புகுந்து தித்திக்கும் அமுதே இமையோர் அதிபதியே!

தெண்ணல் அருவி மணிபொன்  முத்தலைக்கும் திருவேங்கடத்தானே!

அண்ண லே!  உன் அடிசேர அடியேற்கு  ஆவாவென்னாயே.

                                                           அருளே வடிவெடுத்த வண்ணமாய்  அழகிய மேகம்போன்ற நிறத்தையுடையவனே! ஆச்சரிய குணங்களையுடைய ஸ்வாமியே!  நெஞ்சுக்குள்ளே புகுந்து தெவிட்டாத சுவை கூட்டும்  அமிருதமானவனே!   தேவாதிதேவனே!   தெளிந்தழகிய அருவிகள் மணிகளையும்,  பொன்னையும்,  முத்துக்களையும்  கொழிக்குமிடமான திருவேங்கடமலையில் வாசம் செய்பவனே!    ஸ்வாமியே!   உன் திருவடிகளில் வந்து சேரும்படி அடியேனுக்கும்  ஐயோ வென்றிரங்கியருள வேணும்.  

Nampillai of this fame has a sannadhi at Triplicane, situate at the front of Sri Bhandaram Committee place commonly known as “Komutti bungalow”. Around 150 years earlier, there was a great person by name Yogi Parthasarathi Iyengar and his wife was Yogi Singamma. Sri Yogi Parthasarathi Iyengar in his wisdom created a press for re-publishing on paper edition,  the great granthams of our Vaishnavaite mahans and in this venture established a press and persons to take care known as -  “Saraswathi Bhandram Committee” – saraswathi bhandaram meaning ‘library / treasure house’ of the works of Goddess of Learning Saraswathi. He spent his fortune towards establishing this and on this place built a temple for Sri Nampillai as the rightful person to own this treasure house. The idol of Namperumal was also installed alongside.  This year beautiful Sri Ranganayaki thayar is also blessing us here.    

This Nampillai sannadhi was renovated and re-built decoratively recently by the Committee,  headed by Sri MA Venkata Krishnan Swami.   Sri Yogi Parthasarathi Iyengar was born in Saarvari year – month of Karthigai in Avitta nakshathiram.  On 21.11.2020 it was  180^th birth anniversary (3^rd Sashtiabdapoorthi).  On this occasion, Thiruvaimozhi goshti  has been arranged;  today was day 6 and Sri Ranganathar here was beautifully decorated as ‘Thiruvengadamudaiyan’.  Here are some photos of the day.
