Sriman Narayana is the ONE who is everywhere !! ~ ** கரவிசும் பெரிவளி **

Modern Science tells us that, We live at the bottom of an invisible ocean called the atmosphere, a layer of gases surrounding our planet. Nitrogen and oxygen account for 99 percent of the gases in dry air, with argon, carbon dioxide, helium, neon, and other gases making up minute portions. Water vapor and dust are also part of Earth’s atmosphere. Other planets and moons have very different atmospheres, and some have no atmospheres at all. The atmosphere is so spread out that we barely notice it, yet its weight is equal to a layer of water more than 10 meters (34 feet) deep covering the entire planet. The bottom 30 kilometers (19 miles) of the atmosphere contains about 98 percent of its mass. The atmosphere—air—is much thinner at high altitudes. There is no atmosphere in space.

Scientists say many of the gases in our atmosphere were ejected into the air by early volcanoes. At that time, there would have been little or no free oxygen surrounding the Earth.  Free oxygen may have been added to the atmosphere by primitive organisms, probably bacteria, during photosynthesis.  

We are getting closer to Deepavali, the festival of lights !  … ..  Deepavali ushers in great joy – of sweets, new clothes, crackers and life. It is a time of great celebrations being with the family

In recent times, closer to the festival, some so called environmentalists surface – you hear words of pollution, smog, poor quality of air and more .. .. now they say that Delhi air quality has deteriorated with the rise of pollutants in the atmosphere. One newspaper reported that during Deepavali to Pongal, the atmosphere goes bad !  .. .. accepting the referral period to be Oct to Jan – they would not include the New Year or the other celebration !!  

இயற்கை இனிமையானது !  .. .. மனித குலத்துக்கு உண்மையிலேயே இயற்கையை காப்பதில் அக்கறை உள்ளதா !  தீபாவளி போன்ற பண்டிகள் நாட்களில் கூக்குரலிடும் பலர் - தங்கள் வாழ்வில் இயற்கையை மாசுபடுத்தும், வாகனங்கள், குளிர் சாதனங்கள், காற்றுப் பதனி போன்றவை குறைவாக உபயோகிப்பார்களா !!

வளி மாசடைதல் (Air pollution) என்பது மனிதனால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட வேதிப்பொருட்கள், துகள் பொருட்கள், உயிரியற் பொருட்கள் போன்றவை வளிமண்டலத்தில் கலந்து காற்றை மாசுபடுத்துதலை இது குறிக்கிறது.  வளிமண்டலம் (atmosphere) என்பது ஈர்ப்பு விசையின் கீழூள்ள கோள் ஒன்றையோ அல்லது போதுமான திணிவைக் கொண்ட ஒரு பொருளையோ சுற்றியுள்ள வளிமங்களின் அடுக்கு ஆகும்.

The atmosphere is the layer of gases that surrounds Earth above the air layer. Its condition affects our climate, which is the pattern of variation in temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind, precipitation, ultraviolet light, and other climate variables that occur over long periods.  Literally, the atmosphere is the air. "The environment" just means the surroundings, including the air, but other things as well.  

In Dec 2019, at the International Criminal Court in the Hague, Vanuatu’s ambassador to the European Union made a radical suggestion: make the destruction of the environment a crime. Vanuatu is a small island state in the South Pacific, a nation severely threatened by rising sea levels. Climate change is an imminent and existential crisis in the country, yet the actions that have caused rising temperatures – such as burning fossil fuels – have almost entirely taken place elsewhere, to serve other nations, with the blessing of state governments.  Small island states like Vanuatu have long tried to persuade large powerful nations to voluntarily reduce their emissions, but change has been slow  

Instead of taking measures to prevent ecocide, Richer Nations heavily using luxury vehicles, airconditioners, refrigerants and what not and adding to pollution would cry hoarse on poorer Nations, their resources, cattle and the like – asking them to contribute less towards pollution.  Ecocide – would  literally means “killing the environment” – is an idea that seems both impossibly radical and eminently reasonable. The theory is that no one should go unpunished for destroying the natural world. Campaigners believe the crime should come under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, which can currently prosecute just four crimes: genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and crimes of aggression.

Moving away to the sky, Solar system  - Saturn's moon Titan just keeps getting weirder — and more tantalizing when it comes to scientists' hopes for life beyond Earth. Titan is perhaps the most Earth-like place in our solar system, except the ingredients are jumbled up: ocean below ground, landforms of water ice instead of rock, rains of organic compounds, an atmosphere even denser than our own. Now, two new research findings add still more intrigue to the strange moon, identifying an unexpected chemical in Titan's atmosphere and evidence of more complicated surface phenomena than scientists had previously realized. Scientists' fascination with the chemistry of Titan is what makes the new findings so intriguing. Researchers turned the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) in Chile toward the moon and spotted the chemical signature of cyclopropenylidene, an awkward triangular compound made of three carbon atoms and two hydrogen atoms. "Titan is unique in our solar system,"   a planetary scientist at Goddard, said in the same statement. "It has proved to be a treasure trove of new molecules."  

Thiruvalluvar’s simple yet very powerful message on nature, agriculture and what constitutes life ..  அற்புத கருத்தை அளிக்கும் செந்நாப்போதாரின் இன்று படித்த திருக்குறள்:

விசும்பின் துளிவீழின் அல்லால்மற் றாங்கே

பசும்புல் தலைகாண்பு அரிது

மேகத்திலிருந்து மழைத்துளி விழாது போனால், பசும்புல்லின் நுனியைக்கூட இங்கே காண்பது அரிதாகிவிடும்.

சில வருடங்களுக்கு முன் சிறந்த எழுத்தாளர் சுஜாதாவின் உரை ஒன்று படித்தேன்.  எம்பெருமான் ஸ்ரீமன் நாராயணன் எங்கும் பரந்துள்ளதை, நம்மாழ்வாரின் திருவாய்மொழியை மேற்கோள் காட்டி இருந்தார்.  

** கரவிசும் பெரிவளி நீர்நிலம் இவைமிசை;

வரனவில் திறல்வலி அளிபொறையாய் நின்ற ** : 

கரவிசும்பு (திடமான ஆகாசம்);  எரி  (நெருப்பு); வளி  (வாயு); நீர் (பரந்து கிடைக்கும் கடல்); புவி (பூமி)  ~ இவற்றின் மீது உள்ள  சிறந்த சப்தம்  நம் ஸ்ரீமன் நாரணன் மட்டுமே . 

The  command of Swami Nammalwar is clearly exhibited when he says – that Sriman Narayana, who swallowed it all – is complete and is everywhere on Sky, Earth, Fire, space and Ocean – in the first decad of Thiruvaimozhi, Nammalwar also guides us that those who recite and render kainkaryam of Sriman Narayana will get the ultimate gift of life.
