அரசன், உங்களுக்கு இவரது கதை ஞாபகம் வருகிறதா
?
A virus is a protein box with
genetic material inside which needs a living cell to replicate. It enters the
cell through binding with receptors and “reprogrammes it” to make copies of
itself, working as a template to replicate more viruses inside the body.
There have been thousands
of fatalities worldwide. After its
discovery last December, in Wuhan, China, the virus started to spread around
the world, causing panic. At the moment,
we know that the virus is transmitted through contaminated droplets. Droplets
of saliva or mucus carrying the respiratory virus can travel one to three
metres through coughing or sneezing. The virus needs to fully enter the
respiratory tract for infection to happen, but that's why the risk of infection
can be reduced by avoiding close contact with sick people. Washing your hands
thoroughly greatly reduces the risk of infection. With so
many affected and with many Countries struggling to contain the dreaded disease
spreading – there are problems aplenty. Social distancing is most advised and
people have been advised not to venture outside, be at places where hundreds
assemble and .. .. an unlikely one is happening right infront of our eyes.

கதை ஞாபகம் வருகிறதா ? ... நள தமயந்தி கதை
நிச்சயம் அறிவீர்கள். மகாபாரதத்தில் உள்ள துணைக்
கதைகளுள் ஒன்று இந்த காதை. . மகாபாரத்தின்
வன பருவத்திலே, தரும மகராஜா சூதாட்டத்தில் அனைத்தையும் இழந்து வனத்தில் துன்பப்படும்
பொழுது வியாசரிடம், என்னைப்போல் சூதில் நாட்டை இழந்த மன்னர் யாராவது இருந்தார்களா என்று
கேட்டதற்கு பதிலாக வந்த கதை நளன் கதையாகும். நளன் - தமயந்தி தம்பதியரின் காதல், திருமணம், சூதாட்டம்,
தமயந்தியை பிரிதல் போன்ற சோதனைகளுக்குப் பின் மீண்டும் இருவரும் இணைவது குறித்து விளக்கப்படுகிறது.
நளனின்
கதை கிருதயுகத்தில் நடந்ததாக எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது. நள, தமயந்தி திருமணம் முடிந்து பன்னிரெண்டு
ஆண்டுகள் கழித்தே கலி {சனியன்} பிடிப்பதாக கதை கூறுகிறது. கலியால் ஆட்கொள்ளப்பட்ட நளன்,
புட்கரன் என்கிற மன்னனிடம் சூதாடி அரசையும் தனது செல்வங்கள் யாவற்றையும் இழக்கிறான். மனைவியை வைத்து சூதாட மாட்டேன் என நாட்டை விட்டு,
அனைத்தையும் இழந்தவனாய் செல்கிறான். குழந்தைகளைப்
பிரிகிறான். பின்னர் மனைவியையும் பிரிகிறான். கார்கோடன் என்கிற பாம்பினால் கடிபடுகிறான்.
அதன் பின்னர் தேரோட்டியாகவும், சமையல்காரனாகவும் பணி செய்கிறான். நளமகாராஜன் தமயந்தியை
உடுத்த புடவையிலே விலங்குகள் வாழும் கொடிய காட்டினிலே ‘இது விதர்ப்பதேசம் போகிற வழி. இது கோலைதேசம் போகிற
வழி - என சொன்னானாம்.
Today (20.3.2020) is a special day – Ekadasi coupled with
Thiruvonam in the month of Panguni.
At Thiruvallikkeni, there would
be chinna mada veethi purappadu for Thiruvonam and Periya veedhi for Ekadasi ~
but to the disappointment of all devotees, today there is no purappadu. .. .. as part of the Govt initiative in fighting
dreaded Corona virus, HR&CE has directed that temple would be out of bounds
for devotees – regular poojas would continue, but ordinary mortals cannot have
His darshan. So sad !!
In
Iyarpa comes Swami Nammalwar’s Periya thiruvanthathi, which is considered great. In one of the pasurams, Azhwar laments - O'
Lord who came as Sri Krishna! Would you keep me away from you by showing all
other means or would you reveal Thine divine form dark like the tender
mango-leaf? What are your plans for this self of mine, which has been ignorant
from eternity? Please give us your word of reassurance and state "do not
grieve".
Azhwar
is bamboozled – he asks Emperuman direct - Will you only show us the way to
your feet and disappear? Or will you show us your dark radiant frame as
well? We do not know what lies
ahead. Pray tell us what you intend. Life
actually is simple – surrender at the lotus feet of Emperuman and forget
everything else. HE is the aim of life,
He is the one who would show us eternity .. .. yet a day like this makes us
lament!

நெறிகாட்டி நீக்குதியோ?
நின்பால் கருமா
முறிமேனி காட்டுதியோ?

கண்ணனே! ஈதுரையாய்
என் செய்தால் என்படோம் யாம்?
கண்ணனே, எம்பெருமானே!- கருமம் ஞானம் முதலிய உபாயாந்தரங்களைக் காட்டி (இவற்றை
அநுஷ்டித்துப் பலன் பெறுவாய் என்று சொல்லி என்னை) கைவிட்டு விடப் பார்க்கிறாயோ? (அல்லது)
"கரு மா முறி மேனி" என கறுத்த மாமரத்தின்
தளிர் போன்ற (உனது) திருமேனியை ஸேவை ஸாதிப்பித்து அநுப்ரஹிக்க நினைக்கிறாயோ?. அநாதி காலமாக, அறியாதவர்களான எங்களை என்ன செய்வதாக
திருவுள்ளம் பற்றியிருக்கிறாய் ? தேவரீருடைய
திருவுள்ளம் என்ன என்பதை ருளிச் செய்ய வேணும்; "நெறிகாட்டி நீக்குதியோ" என ஆழ்வார்கள்,
சரணமடைதல், பிரபத்தி செய்தல் என்று உபாயம் ஒன்றை அனுஷ்டிப்பது போலச் சொன்னாலும், அப்படி
உபாயங்களால் மட்டுமே அடைய முடியாதவன், அவன் சர்வ ஸ்வதந்த்ரன், அவனிச்சைப்படியே கொள்ளுதலும்
நடக்கும், அதனால் நான் என் முயற்சி என்று செய்த பிரபத்தி இத்யாதிகளைக் கூட குற்றமாகக்
கொண்டு விடாதே என்கிற பாவனை முன் நிற்கும் பாசுரம் இது.
நம்மாழ்வாரின் வார்த்தைகளுடன்
எம்பெருமான் ஸ்ரீமன் நாரணனின் திருவடி தொழுது, நம் தேசத்தையும் நம் மக்களையும் காப்பாற்ற
வேணுமாய் அவனிடத்தில் பிரார்த்திப்போமாக!
