Ekadasi purappadu 2017 ~ Alavanthar Uthsavam @ Thiruvallikkeni divyadesam

நம் மறைவுக்குப் பின் கொடிய நரகங்களிலே சென்று சேராதபடி காக்க வல்லது எது ?  யார் நம்மை உஜ்ஜீவிக்க வல்லவர் ?

To think of hell is the worst thing that can happen to mankind.  Who is our Saviour – who can care and lead us to good things and prosperity.

ஸ்ரீவைணவர்களுக்கு ஏகாதசி ஒரு சீரிய நாள்.  இன்று ஏகாதசி; கேட்டை திருநக்ஷத்திரம். ஸ்ரீ ஆளவந்தார் உத்சவத்தில் ஏழாவது நாள். 

இன்று ஸ்ரீ பார்த்தசாரதி பெரியமாட வீதி புறப்பாடு கண்டு அருளிய பின், ஆளவந்தார் சன்னதியில் பெரிய திருவந்தாதியும் திருவாய்மொழியில் ஏழாம் பத்தும் சேவிக்கப்பட்டன.  பின்னர் திருமாலை கோஷ்டி ஆனது.

ஸ்வாமி  நம்மாழ்வாரின் வைர வரிகள் : ' சென்றங்கு வெந்நரகில் சேராமல் காப்பதற்கு  ..   பாருருவும் பார்வளைத்த நீருருவும் கண்புதையக் காருருவன் தான் நிமிர்த்த கால் **

நரகம் கொடியது; பாவிகள் சென்று சேறுமிடம்; கொடிய தண்டனைகளை அனுபவிக்க வேண்டிய இடம் ~ அத்தகைய  கொடிய அந்த நரகங்களிலே நாம் சென்று சேராதபடி என்னை உஜ்ஜீவிக்கச் செய்யுமாறு காத்து  வாழ்விக்க வல்லது அந்த அரங்கன் திருவடி நீழலே .. எம்பெருமானுடைய உலகளந்த சேவடியானது தானாகவே வந்து தம்முடைய திருவுள்ளத்தில் குடிகொண்ட தென்கிறார் ஸ்வாமி  நம்மாழ்வார்.

காளமேகத் திருவுருவனான எம்பெருமான் நிமிர்த்தருளிய திருவடிகளை  சரணடைந்து பெற்று நாமும் உய்யவுறுவோமாக.

Swami Nammalwar offers the most simplistic solution.  We need not do anything other than surrendering to Sriman Narayana and think of His divine Lotus Feet – the very thought of those supreme legs that measured earth and took care of Mahabali is the best possible solace for any of our problems. 

At Thiruvallikkeni today Sri Parthasarathi had periya mada veethi purappadu for Ekadasi.  Then it was day 7 for Sri Alavanthar – Periya Thiruvanthathi and 7^th canto of Thiruvaimozhi were rendered.  After there was Thirumalai as today is Kettai thirunakshathiram of Thondaradipodi Azhwar.  Here are some photos of today’s purappadu
