Sri Varadharajar Uthsavam day 9,2022 - 'வல்வினையைக் கானும் மலையும் புகக்கடிவான்' !!

ஒரு தடியால் விழும் அடியை விருப்பமாக வாங்கிகொள்வாரும் உண்டோ !! நிச்சயம் உண்டு ....  அது வல்வினை ஒழிக்குமேயாயின் !  

இரவும் இருளும் சேர்ந்தே அறியப்படுகின்றன.  அறியாமை இருள், அஞ்ஞான இருள், ஆணவ இருள்,   இறை மறுப்பு இருள்,  என எத்தனை இருள்கள்..! அத்தனை இருள்களையும் அகற்றி மனித வாழ்வில் இறைஞான ஒளியை ஏற்றுவது நம் சனாதன தர்மம்.  எம்பெருமான் திருவடிகளை பற்றுபவர்களுக்கு   ஒளிமயமான எதிர்காலம்  இம்மையில் மட்டுமல்ல மறுமையிலும் உண்டு.   . இருள் சூழ்ந்த எதிர்காலத்தை  யாரும் விரும்பமாட்டார்கள்.  இறைநிலையை  அறியாமல் ஆணவத்தில்  மூழ்கியிருப்பது இருள்;  எம்பெருமானுக்கும் அவரடியார்களுக்கும் தெளிந்து சேவை செய்வது  ஒளி!!  

முன்னொரு காலத்தில் தொலைக்காட்சியில் "ஒலியும் - ஒளியும்"  என்ற பாடல்களை கொண்ட  நிகழ்ச்சி மிக பிரபலம்.  ஒளி என்பது இருளற்ற தன்மையா? அல்லது இருள் என்பது ஒளியற்ற தன்மையா?  இந்த அண்டத்தில் வேகமாகச் செல்லக்கூடியது எது என்று கேட்டால்   ஒளி (Light) என்று அடித்து சொல்லலாம்.   இந்தப் பேரண்டத்தின் தூரம் மற்றும் விரிவு ஆகியவற்றை அளக்கக்கூட ஒளியைத்தான் (Lightyears) பயன்படுத்துகின்றனர். அதன் வேகத்தில் பயணித்தால் காலப் பயணம் (Timetravel) கூடச் சாத்தியமே என்கிறது ஒரு கோட்பாடு.  

The color of a point, on a standard 24-bit computer display, is defined by three RGB (red, green, blue) values, each ranging from 0–255. When the red, green, and blue components of a pixel are fully illuminated (255,255,255), the pixel appears white; when all three components are unilluminated (0,0,0), the pixel appears black..  The contrast of white and black (light and darkness, day and night) has a long tradition of metaphorical usage, traceable explicitly in the Pythagorean Table of Opposites. In Western culture as well as in Confucianism, the contrast symbolizes the moral dichotomy of good and evil.  

The perception of darkness differs from the mere absence of light due to the effects of after images on perception. In perceiving, the eye is active, and the part of the retina that is unstimulated produces a complementary afterimage. Darkness, the direct opposite of light, is defined as a lack of illumination, an absence of visible light, or a surface that absorbs light, such as black or brown. Human vision is unable to distinguish colors in conditions of very low luminance. This is because the hue sensitive photoreceptor cells on the retina are inactive when light levels are insufficient, in the range of visual perception referred to as scotopic vision.  

The emotional response to darkness has generated metaphorical usages of the term in many cultures, often used to describe an unhappy or foreboding feeling. Referring to a time of day, complete darkness occurs when the Sun is more than 18° below the horizon, without the effects of twilight on the night sky.  

Sri Devathi Rajar Brahmothsavam is grandly being conducted at Perumal Kovil (Thirukachi aka Kanchipuram).  Today (May 21,2022) (Vaikasi 7) is    day 9  of the uthsavam – Nachiyar thirukolam.    

திருவல்லிக்கேணியில் ஸ்ரீ வரதராஜருக்கு ப்ரஹ்மோத்சவத்தில் ஒரு வேலை புறப்பாடு மட்டுமே !  - அது மாலை வேளையில் .. .. , கருட சேவை மற்றும் ஒன்பதாம் நாள் காலை புறப்பட்டு.    இவ்வருடம் மதுரகவிகள் ஆழ்வார் சாற்றுமுறை புற்ப்பாடு சாயங்காலம் ஆனதால் - 2ம் நாள்  காலை 7 மணிக்கு ஸ்ரீ வரதராஜப்பெருமாள் யாளி வாஹனத்திலே புறப்பாடு கண்டருளினார்.  3ம் நாள் கருட சேவை புறப்பாடு அசம்பாவிதம் காரணமாக நடை பெறாதலால் - மாலை ஸ்ரீவரதர் மட்டும் தோளுக்கு இனியானில் புறப்பாடு கண்டருளினார்.  

ஒளி ஒரு இடத்திலிருந்து இன்னொரு இடத்துக்கு வினாடிக்கு கிட்டத்தட்ட மூன்று லட்சம் கிலோமீட்டர்கள் என்ற வேகத்தில் பயணிக்கிறது. பிரபஞ்சத்தில் எந்த ஒரு வஸ்தும் இதனை விட வேகமாக பயணிக்க முடியாது என்பது ஆல்பர்ட் ஐன்ஸ்டைன் முன்வைத்த விசேட சார்புக் கொள்கையில் தெரிவிக்கும் முக்கிய விதியாகும்.  

இதுவரை நடந்திருக்கின்ற ஆயிரக்கணக்கான பரிசோதனைகளில் எதிலுமே ஒளியை விட அதிக வேகத்தில் ஒரு வஸ்து பயணித்தது என்ற முடிவு வந்ததே கிடையாது.  ஆனால் சமீபத்தில் சுவிட்சர்லாந்தின் செர்ன் ஆராய்ச்சிக் கூடத்திலிருந்து சுமார் 732 கிலோமீட்டர் தொலைவில் உள்ள இத்தாலிய ஆராய்ச்சிக் கூடம் ஒன்றுக்கு அணுவிலும் சிறிய வஸ்துக்களான நியூட்ரினோஸ்க கற்றை ஒன்றை அனுப்பி அது பயணித்த நேரத்தை அளந்தபோது ஒளியின் வேகத்தை விட சற்று குறைவான நேரத்திலேயே நியூட்ரினோஸ் பயணித்திருப்பதை முடிவுகள் காட்டின. தாங்கள் அளந்தது சரிதானா என்பதை உறுதிசெய்வதற்காக   15 ஆயிரம் முறை திரும்பத் திரும்பச் செய்து பார்த்திருக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் அத்தனை முறையிலும் இந்த வஸ்து ஒளியை விட வேகமாகப் பயணிப்பதாகவே முடிவுகள் காட்டியிருந்தன. எனினும்  தாங்கள் கண்டறிந்தது நிஜம்தானா என்று இந்த விஞ்ஞானிகளால் இன்னும் அறுதியிட்டுக் கூறமுடியவில்லை. 

வல்வினை என்றால் என்ன .... அவை நீங்கி நன்மை பயக்க என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும் ? அவனடியை பற்றவேண்டும் !!  எம்பெருமான் ஸ்ரீமன் நாரணன் - “வல்வினையைக் காணும் மலையும் புகக் கடிவான்”  வல்வினை எனும் கொடிய  உருத்தெரியாத நிலையையும்  தனது அனுகிரஹத்தால் கண்காணாத இடமான காட்டுக்கு மலைப்பகுதிக்கு ஓட்ட வல்லன்.

                      தமிழ் வினையடிச் சொற்களை அவை ஏற்கும் கால இடைநிலைகளின் அடிப்படையில் மெல்வினை, இடைவினை, வல்வினை என மூன்று முக்கியப் பிரிவுகளாகப் பகுக்கப்படுகின்றன.

ப்ப் என்ற ஈரொற்றைப் பெறுவன வல்வினை. 

இது இலக்கணம்.  .. .. வல்வினை என்பதன் அர்த்தம் :  வலியதாகிய ஊழ் ; தீவினை ; கொடுஞ்செயல் ; வலியதாகிய தொழில். ஊழ் அல்லது கர்மா அல்லது வினைப்பயன்   உளவியல்  மற்றும் அண்டவியல் சார்ந்த முக்கியமான கோட்பாடுகளில் ஒன்று ஆகும். எளிமையாகச் சொன்னால், மனிதனின் நல்வினையும் தீவினையுமே சீவனின் (ஆன்மா)  மறுபிறவியைத் தீர்மானிக்கின்றது  என்பது  கொள்கை.  எம்பெருமான் ஸ்ரீமன் நாரணனை சரணடைந்தால் எல்லா கொடுவினைகளைகளும் நீங்கி நன்மையே பயக்கும்.   இதோ இங்கே ஸ்வாமி நம்மாழ்வாரின் பெரிய திருவந்தாதி பாசுரம் :

யானுமென் நெஞ்சும் இசைந்தொழிந்தோம், வல்வினையைக்

கானும் மலையும் புகக்கடிவான்,- தானோர்

இருளன்ன மாமேனி எம்மிறையார் தந்த,

அருளென்னும் தண்டால் அடித்து.

 

இருள்தானே ஒரு வடிவு கொண்டாற்போலிருக்கிற விலக்ஷணமான திருமேனியையுடைய எம்பெருமான் அளித்த கிருபை  (அருள் ) என்னும்   ஒரு தடியினாலே  வல்வினையாம் கொடிய பாவங்களை  நையப்புடைத்து, அவைதமை   காடுகளிலும் மலைகளிலும் சென்று புகும்படியாக புருரும்படியாக துரத்துவதற்கு யானும் என் நெஞ்சும்   இருவரும் இசைந்து நின்றோம் என்கிறார் மாறன் சடகோபன் தமது பக்தி பெருக்கீட்டினால்.

Thiruvallikkeni Sri Varadharaja Perumal kuthirai vahanam 2022

In Greek mythology, the Trojan War was waged against the city of Troy by the Achaeans (Greeks) after Paris of Troy took Helen from her husband Menelaus, king of Sparta. The war is one of the most important events in Greek mythology and has been narrated through many works of Greek literature, most notably Homer's Iliad. The core of the Iliad describes a period of four days and two nights in the tenth year of the decade-long siege of Troy; the Odyssey describes the journey home of Odysseus, one of the war's heroes.   

**  Veerasimhan and Sasankan are the sons of a king. When Veerasimhan rides through a village, he meets a local dancer and they fall in love. At the palace, the king decides to abdicate his throne in favour of Veerasimhan. This enrages Sasankan, Veerasimhan's younger brother, who forms a gang of thieves; who embark on a crime spree.   

The horse (Equus ferus caballus) has evolved over the past 45 to 55 million years.  Horses' anatomy enables them to make use of speed to escape predators and they have a well-developed sense of balance and a strong fight-or-flight response.  Horses have significant place in history, especially battles and formation of kingdoms. 

North America is home to more horses than any other continent — over 19 million, according to some estimates. For most of human history, however, the Americas had no horses at all.   Archaeological evidence indicates that the genus Equus, which includes horses, donkeys, and zebras, evolved in the western hemisphere between 4 and 4.5 million years ago before spreading to Eurasia, only to disappear during a megafauna extinction event at the end of the Pleistocene.  Eurasia’s horses survived this extinction event, going on to influence the rise — and fall — of numerous civilizations. The genus’ millennia-long trip around the globe concluded in the late 15th century, when European explorers unknowingly returned the domesticated horse to its ancestral home.  

From here, horses went on to change life in the Americas just as they had in Eurasia. They enabled Hernán Cortés and other conquistadores to venture deep into the American heartland, where the animals provided a strategic advantage against the native populations. Horses also played an important role in local post-Columbian economies, which still revolve heavily around ranching.  

Trojan horse, huge hollow wooden horse constructed by the Greeks to gain entrance into Troy during the Trojan War. The horse was built by Epeius, a master carpenter and pugilist. The Greeks, pretending to desert the war, sailed to the nearby island of Tenedos, leaving behind Sinon, who persuaded the Trojans that the horse was an offering to Athena (goddess of war) that would make Troy impregnable. Despite the warnings of Laocoön and Cassandra, the horse was taken inside the city gates. That night Greek warriors emerged from it and opened the gates to let in the returned Greek army. The story is told at length in Book II of the Aeneid and is touched upon in the Odyssey. The term Trojan horse has come to refer to subversion introduced from the outside. Beginning in the late 20th century, the name “Trojan horse” was applied to deceptively benign computer codes that seem like legitimate applications but are written to damage or disrupt a computer’s programming or to steal personal information.  

A Trojan horse, or Trojan, is a type of malicious code or software that looks legitimate but can take control of your computer. A Trojan is designed to damage, disrupt, steal, or in general inflict some other harmful action on your data or network.  A Trojan is sometimes called a Trojan virus or a Trojan horse virus, but that’s a misnomer. Viruses can execute and replicate themselves. A Trojan cannot. A user has to execute Trojans. Even so, Trojan malware and Trojan virus are often used interchangeably.   

In Ponniyin Selvan of Kalki, when Vanthiya Devan is thinking of Nandini, the sounds of galloping horses disturbs his silence. Those flying horses raise a cloud of dust swirling like a mini tornado, and Vanthiyadevan recognizes  Parthiban Pallavan  astride.  

The book ‘History of Vijayanagar’ mentions of inscription discovered at Talugunda, Mysore in AD 1894 containing information about Haritaputrus of Manavyagotra.  A clan Mayurasarma goes to Kanchi, where he gets into dispute about the Pallava horses; is so enraged about the insult that he learns the art of using weapon.   Then there is the Pallava emperor Parameswaravarman 1, who ruled in the latter half of 7th Century ascending the throne after Mahendravarman II.  His reign was marked by revived conflicts with Chalukyas – his horse named ‘Atisaya’s valour’ is reportedly noticed in sculptural representation.  

The story of Veerasimhan  and Sasankan described earlier is -  movie Chandralekha, that made audience spellbound in 1948.  This    historical adventure film was  produced and directed by S. S. Vasan of Gemini Studios. Starring T. R. Rajakumari, M. K. Radha and Ranjan, the film follows two brothers (Veerasimhan and Sasankan) who fight over ruling their father's kingdom and marrying the village dancer, Chandralekha.  In the thrilling climax, huge drums are arranged in rows in front of the palace. Chandralekha joins the dancers, who dance on the drums. Sasankan is impressed with Chandralekha's performance but, unknown to him, Veerasimhan's soldiers are hiding inside the drums. As the dance ends, they rush out and attack Sasankan's men. Veerasimhan confronts Sasankan, and their lengthy sword fight ends with Sasankan's defeat and imprisonment. Veerasimhan releases his parents and becomes the new king, with Chandralekha as his queen.  

Moving away from all this - 20.5.2022; was day 8 of Sri Varadharajar Brahmothsavam  - at  Thirukachi, lakhs of devotees assemble during this grand brahmothsvam.  At Thiruvallikkeni divyadesam, Sri Varadharaja Perumal was astride   the beautiful gold horse -  Kuthirai vahanam for Devathi Rajar and here are some photos of the purappadu at Thiruvallikkeni.
