Devotees protest blasphemy against Godapiratti ~ Andal devouts @ Chepauk 2018

To the famous MA Chidambaram stadium at Chepuak there are 2 ends – the pavilion end and Pattabhiraman gate end.  There had been crowds waiting patiently in queue to buy tickets especially for Pongal Tests; today 15.1.2018 – there were tens of thousands of them – but much calmer having assembled for a different purpose.

Thinking of Sriman Narayana and surrendering at the Lotus feet of Lord Narayana only will lead to us salvation. In 30 beautiful pasurams, Andal eulogies Lord Sriman Narayana showing us the way to get near the lotus feet of Lord.

We are in a melancholic mood ~ instead of spending our time doing kainkaryam, we are forced to protest ~ the blasphemy of an ordinary mortal who ekes out life writing songs to tunes.  He chose to speak badly of our Godha piratti and to us the sinister design is too well seen.  Here are some interesting Qs
o   The so called rationalists (!) - question only Hinduism
o   When thousands of bakthi literary research works are available, the song writer chose to quote an oblique reference
o   That too proves to be fault as there is no such reference material in the US University cited
o   It turns out to be a paper read in an ordinary institution (with red leaning) with its author going on record that he has no authentic proof of what he wrote
o   The song writer and his son too defend and then he says, it was not intentional
o   And ~ once famed Tamil daily Dinamani provides a platform for such a talk, prints it too – in the month of Margazhi, in every temple and in so many forums, there are Thiruppavai upanyasams.  A child upanyakasar would have spoke thousand times better than this ‘dandanakka’ poettu.

There have been spontaneous demonstrations – all in a civil way with only decent expressions, demanding that the song writer apologise and today opp to Pattabhiraman gate of famous MA Chidambaram stadium, a peaceful (absolutely peaceful) demonstration was arranged for.  Close to 3 hours, more than 10000 grouped up, chanting slokas and listening to many Jeeyars, and learned persons.  Those on the podium spoke about the factual position, how the bakthas felt hurt by the unscrupulous comments and demanded that the utterer apologise before Sri Andal.

Hope wisdom dawns !!
