Thirukadigaipathi Thakkan Emperumanukku Thiruvadi Samarpanai 2026

 

The annual Vaikasi brahmothsavam of Thirukachi  Sri Varadharaja Swami  is about  to commence  -  the famous Garuda Sevai – when Emperuman has purappadu Garuda vahanam -  also known as Periya Thiruvadi is on 30.5.2026. 

Garuda Seva is grand, majestic and  has special significance at  Kanchi’s link with Sholinghur because of Swami Doddayachaaryar.    Even in Kali Yuga – Perumal had direct interaction with Thirukachi Nambigal and our Thoddachar Swami, whose lineage is doing great kainkaryam to Sri Akkarakkani Emperuman at Cholasimhapuram.  Emperuman the most merciful Sriman Narayana  will never let his ardent bhaktha down.

 

Swami Sri Doddachar was born in 1543 in the famous lineage of Swami Mudaliandan.   Cholasimhapuram aka Sholinghur is a beautiful divyadesam –  there is Periya Malai, Chinna malai and temple at Kondapalayam.  At periya malai (big hill) about 450 feet high,  Moolavar Sri Yoga Narasimar seated in a yoga asana with Salagrama Hara (necklace) and Chaturbuja (four arms). He holds Shanku (conch) and Chakram (discus) on two arms. The other two arms signify a meditative posture.  At Chinnamalai is Aanjaneya in Yoga thirukkolam.  

Down at the  foothills -  is the  temple of Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar.  Inside the temple there is sannathi of  Sri Adhi Kesava Perumal, in front of whose sannathi, Sri Bakthochithar [Sri Bakthavathsala Perumal @ Thakkan @ Akkarakkani Emperuman] is worshipped.    Emperuman is passionately worshipped as -  “Thakkan” and “Akkarakani”. NammAzhvar, PeyAzhvar and Thirumangai Azhvar have sung praises of the Kadigai Lord Narasimha.  ‘Thakkan’ means the Lord is the right one to fulfil all the wishes of devotees. Akkarakani means sweet nectar.

 

At this temple and at the temples on the hill (all together considered as Divyadesam) – our Acharyar Doddayachar have been rendering relentless kainkaryam, ensuring upholding our Sampradhayam in high esteem. 

 

ஸ்ரீவைணவர்களான நம் அனைவருக்கும் எம்பெருமானார் இராமானுசர் திருவடி சம்பந்தமே மிக போக்யமானது.  உடையவர் 74 சீடர்களை சிம்ஹாசனாதிபதிகளாக நியமித்தருளினார்.  அந்த பரம்பரையில் வந்தவர்களிடம் பஞ்ச ஸம்ஸ்காரம் செய்து கொள்வோர் உடையவர் திருவடி சம்பந்தம் பெறுவர்.  உடையவர் சிஷ்யர்களில் அதி முக்கியமானவர் திரு முதலியாண்டான். அவரது திருக்குமரன் கந்தாடையாண்டான் - அவர் தம் வம்ச பரம்பரையில் வந்தவர் சோளசிங்கபுரம் தொட்டையாச்சார்யார் எனும் மஹாசார்யர்.  நமது வர்த்தமான ஆசார்யர் - ஸ்ரீமான் உபய வேதாந்த கோயில் கந்தாடை சண்டமாருதம் கந்தாடையாண்டான் (எ) யோகந்ருசிம்மன் ஸ்வாமி (Thiru KKC Yogesh Swami)

 

சோளஸம்ஹபுரமென்று வழங்கப்படுகிற திருக்கடிகைப்பதி தக்கான்   எம்பெருமானை மங்களாசாசனம் செய்த திருமங்கைமன்னனின் பெரிய திருமொழி பாசுரம் :

 

மிக்கானை மறையாய் விரிந்த விளக்கை என்னுள்

புக்கானைப் புகழ்சேர் பொலிகின்ற பொன்மலையை

தக்கானைக் கடிகைத் தடங்குன்றின் மிசையிருந்த

அக்காரக் கனியை அடைந்துய்ந்து போனேனே.

 

Recently for Thakkan (Akkarakkani Emperuman) – most beautiful decoratively made Thiruvadi were rendered in samarpanai by our Acharyar and by our KKCP Sishya Sabha.  Here is a pic of the thiruvadi, made in silver, coated in Gold laced with rare stones.
