Hyderabad may be bone dry and hot - in recent times, there is fresh trouble brewing. According to the original plan, the Government was to unveil the new State emblem and the official song penned by noted poet Ande Sri on June 2 during the Telangana formation day celebrations at Parade Grounds. The decision to make changes to the state emblem, the Telangana Thalli statue, the abbreviation from TS to TG, and the release of a new state official song are all projected by opposition as an attempt by the Government to create its mark overriding and erasing the legacy and footprints of BRS and its chief K Chandrashekar Rao from the history of Telangana.
According to reports, the government was considering removing the Charminar and Kakatiya arch (Kala Thoranam) from the existing emblem while adding the Telangana martyr symbol. However, the decision to remove Charminar and Kakatiya Arch has met with criticism from the BRS, which had threatened to launch statewide protests. Already, the music to the state official song “Jaya Jaya He Telangana' by Keeravani, who has Andhra roots, was objected to.

away, Budhanilkantha is a municipality
in Kathmandu District in the Bagmati Province of Nepal situated at the foot of
Shivapuri hill, just 10 kms away from Kathmandu – and it has this beautiful
temple dedicated to Sriman Narayana – Jal sayana Narayana – Jal Narayana. At

Rivers are holy and on the banks of rivers many civilizations prospered. The Bagmati River runs through the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal and separates Kathmandu from Patan. It is considered holy by both Hindus and Buddhists. A number of Hindu temples are located on its banks.
Pashupatinath Temple is a beautiful ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, at Kathmandu, Nepal. This is a World Heritage site – the "extensive Hindu temple precinct" is a "sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmati river", and is one of seven monument groups in UNESCO's designation of Kathmandu Valley. According to Gopalraj Aalok Vamsavali, the oldest ever chronicle in Nepal, this temple was built by Prachanda Deva, a Licchavi King, who according to the stone inscription erected by Jayadeva 11 in the courtyard of Pashupatinath in 753 AD. The area of Pashupatinath encompasses 0.64 hectares of land including 518 temples and monuments.
As many of us would have witnessed, on the banks of holy
Ganga mata at Haridwar and many other places at dusk – ‘famous ganga aarthi’ takes place. During
our visit to Nepal in 2018, we were lucky to have darshan of the elaborate
‘aarthi’ on the banks of the river adjacent to Sri Pasupathinath temple. Here are
