பூமியின் நூற்றாண்டுகள் சுழற்சியில் பலப்பல கஷ்ட காலங்களை கண்டுள்ளது. தேவர்களை அசுரர்கள் துன்புறுத்தினர். குருக்ஷேத்திரத்தில்
தர்மம் அதர்மம் யுத்தம் நடைபெற்றது. பகவான்
ஸ்ரீகிருஷ்ணர் ப்ரத்யக்ஷமாக நின்று மிக உயர்ந்த பகவத் கீதையை அளித்த போது கூட மக்கள்
யுத்தத்தில் அடித்துக்கொண்டு மாண்டனர். ஒவ்வொரும்
ஏதேதோ பலனை நாடினர். பாண்டவர்கள் பக்கல் நின்ற ஸ்ரீகிருஷ்ணன் ஆயுதம் எடுக்கமாட்டேன்
என்ற சபதம் எடுத்த போதிலும் பாண்டவர்களை காப்பாற்றினார். எம்பெருமானுடைய ஸர்வரக்ஷகத்வ குணம் பல இடங்களில்
வெளிப்பட்டது. அதில் முக்கியமானது பதினான்காம்
நாள் யுத்தம் அதாவது - மிக வீரமாக போரிட்ட
பாலகன் அபிமன்யு வஞ்சகமாக கொல்லப்பட்ட மறுதினம்.

Many of us
in our middle ages, have seen some decades but the few months from Mar 20 have
been tough and challenging. Life has
been scary, restless and full of open Questions – people are living listlessly
and do not know what to do, what to eat and what should not be done. Yet there are crowds and Saturday becomes new
Sunday – when Sunday is stated as complete lockdown, people loiter in streets
and buy mad on Saturday as if one cannot wait for a day ! Life moves on in the hope that Covid 19 will
be contained and vaccine would be found sooner !
“Across all
walks of life, we are all being tested to the limit”, “From countries where
there is exponential growth, to places that are loosening restrictions and now
starting to see cases rise. We need leadership, community participation and
collective solidarity. The World’s
nations may be forgiven for being preoccupied, and in many cases overwhelmed,
with battling Covid-19. Many of them are focused on little else—especially
countries with higher infection rates and limited resources. Even though the
virus emanated from China, if Chinese official statistics are to be believed,
it has been under control there since March. While this seems a highly dubious
claim, particularly given how the virus has been raging out of control in so
much of the rest of the world, the pandemic has not stopped the Chinese
government from pursuing some long-sought objectives.
At the top of the list, of
course, is the imposition of its National Security Law on Hong Kong. Beijing
had been waiting for the right time to clamp down on the Special Administrative
Region, following the pro-democracy protests that erupted last year. This move
is not a surprise, nor is Beijing’s willingness to sacrifice Hong Kong’s
reputation as a bastion of free speech, a free press, and a vibrant
international business community in the process. For the Chinese Communist
Party (CCP), its own security and perpetuity trumps all else.
Back home, there have been
lot of efforts and even with such high numbers, we should feel lot positive. Union
Home Minister Amit Shah today said that the whole world was appreciating
India’s successful fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. Speaking ahead of the
mega tree plantation drive of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) at the
Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Officers’ Training Academy in Kadarpur
village here, the Home Minister also lauded the contribution of security forces
in the battle against Covid-19 in the country.
“In India’s battle against Covid-19, all of our security forces are
playing a huge role, nobody can deny it. Today, I salute these corona warriors.
They have proved that they not only know how to fight terrorism but also
against Covid with help of people,” he added.
India has been witnessing
a spike in the number of coronavirus disease cases. In the last nine days, the
country has recorded more than 22,000 Covid-19 cases daily. According to
Worldometers, due to the rapid spread of the disease, India’s share in daily
global cases has reached 12 per cent. India on Saturday reported 27,114 new
cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. Globally, the figure stood at 2,14,741,
according to Worldometers. This is 12.6 per cent of the global cases. In fact,
an analysis of the daily trend shows India has been continuously recording over
11 per cent of the global cases in the last few days.
WHO appears totally
flummoxed by the way they have handled issues and issued advisories. Now a chairwoman in influenza virology at
Imperial College London, has said that coronavirus particles can remain
infectious in the air for more than an hour. "It is the first time that
the World Health Organization has acknowledged that the airborne route
contributes to the spread of this disease."

எதிரிகளை பந்தாடிய போது கௌரவர் பக்கம் உள்ள
அணைத்து வீரர்களும் சிறுவனிடம் யுத்த தர்மங்களை கடந்து தாக்குகின்றனர். அபிமன்யுவைப் பின் தொடர்ந்த நான்கு பாண்டவர்களையும்
ஜெயத்ரதன் முன்னேற விடாமல் தடுத்து விடுகிறான்.
கடும் போராட்டத்துக்குப் பிறகு, அபிமன்யு வஞ்சகமாக வீழ்த்திக் கொல்லப்படுகிறான். அப்போரையும் தர்மமற்ற
முறையில் அவன் கொல்லப்பட்டதையும் கேட்டு வெகுண்ட
அருச்சுனன் அடுத்த நாள் சூரியன் மறைவதற்குள் ஜயத்ரதனை கொல்வதாகவும் அவ்வாறு
இயலாவிடில் தீப்புகுவதாகவும் சபதம் செய்கிறான்.
ஜயத்திரதனை துரோணர், கர்ணன் உள்ளிட்ட அனைவரும் காப்பாற்ற முயற்சிக்கின்றனர். கதிரவன் மறையும் நேரம் நெருங்கியும் ஜயத்திரதனைக்
காணாது பாண்டவர்கள் கலக்கமடைகின்றனர்.அப்போது கிருஷ்ணர் தனது சுதர்சன சக்கரத்தால் சூரியனைத்
தற்காலிகமாக மறைக்க ஜயத்திரதன் வெற்றிக்களிப்புடன் வெளிப்படுகிறான். கிருஷ்ணர் சக்கரத்தை விலக்கி கொள்ள பகல்பொழுது மீள்கிறது. சவ்யசாசி அர்ஜுனன் விட்ட அம்பு ஜெயத்திரதன் தலையை கவ்வி தன்னுடன் மேலே
எடுத்து செல்கிறது. எல்லாம் வல்ல கண்ணன் இல்லாமல்
அர்ஜுனனின் சபதம் தோற்றிருக்கும்.

எதிரிகள் அஞ்சி அறிவு கலங்கும்படியாக ஸ்ரீபாஞ்சஜந்யம்
எனும் திருவாழி வாய் வைத்து, தனது திருப்பவளத்திலே
வைத்து ஊதி, அந்த சங்கத்தை ஏந்தின கையாலே, கவுரவ போர் தளபதிகளான பீஷ்மர் முதலானவர்களைத் துரத்தி, ஆகாயத்தில் அனுதினமும் ஸஞ்சரித்துக் கொண்டேயிருக்கிற ஸூர்யனை உனது மஹாபலம் பொருந்திய சக்கராயுதத்தினால் மறைத்தது
எதுக்காக? என வினவுகிறார்.
இப்படி எம்பெருமான் பாண்டவர்களுக்கு,
முக்கியமாக அர்ஜுனன் தனது சபதத்தை நிறைவேற்ற உதவி, அவர்களை காப்பாற்றி அருளினார். இவ்வாறு அகிலத்தை காக்கும் சர்வரக்ஷகனான எம்பெருமானின்
திருவடி சேர்ந்து உய்வோமாக !
