What a beauty  !  Wonder which Thayar is this ? ….  Emperuman in Archavatharam provides darshan to devotees ~ we need not even go to the temple, Swami Himself would come on the streets and provide us glorious darshan.  That is the purpose and advantage of divyadesa sthala vasam b u t  at times, humans do not even understand this and are very busy walking, speaking, driving, purchasing and doing all sundry things on the streets – not having the mind to worship Emperuman .. ..

in this beautiful World, there have been times when humanity have been threatened by Wars and diseases.  The two World Wars wiped out millions of people, doing economic harm too – the human history is replete with wars and there have been dreaded plagues too .. Corona has been different – it has brought the whole World on its knees harming and threatening them of bleak future.  We face a lockdown of global proportions, scarcity of resources, families away from each other for an indefinite period, and yet, we fight this, hand in hand.

The foremost thing expected is social distancing, not coming out and obeying the instructions.  This day our Health Minister Dr Vijayabaskar who is doing a great job tweeted : - ‘while you stay at home, it’s important to keep yourself physically and mentally healthy. The tough times shall pass, we have to resume normal lives after #lockdown period. So, stay home & stay fit. Take care’.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for rushing  five-tonne cargo of medicines, including anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine. In a tweet last night, Mr Netanyahu said, all Israeli thank Mr Modi for sending Chloroquine to Israel. Earlier, US President Donald Trump and Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro had thanked PM Modi for similar reasons.

Haryana government has decided to double the salary of Doctors, Nurses and other Medical professionals dealing with Corona virus patients. Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar said that salaries of all those engaged in fight against COVID-19 be it Doctors, Nurses, Paramedical staff, Class IV staff, Ambulance staff, Testing Lab staff will be doubled. 

நேர்த்தியாக உடுத்திய அழகான பட்டு, பல அணிகலன்கள், சற்றே கூர்ந்து நோக்கினால் மூக்குத்தி கூட புலப்படும். குத்துக்காலிட்டு அமர்ந்து இருக்கும் இவர் நாயகி அல்ல ~ நாயிகா பாவத்தை வெளிப்படுத்திய சுவாமி நம்மாழ்வார் *மையல்செய்து  என்னை மனம் கவர்ந்தானே என்னும் மாமாயனே! என்னும்*  ~ அதி ஸ்வரூபலாவண்யமய எம்பெருமானை மோகித்து தன்னை இழந்தவர் நம்மாழ்வார் ~ இந்நிலையிலே அவர்    பராங்குச நாயகி.  எம்பெருமானுடைய உத்தம புருஷத் தன்மையை அநுஸந்திக்கையாலே அப்பொழுதே அவனைக் கிட்ட வேண்டும்படியான ஆசை கிளர்ந்து, ஆழ்வார் ஆற்றாமை அதிகரித்துத் தாமான தன்மையை இழந்து பிராட்டி   நிலைமையடைந்து   ‘பராங்குச நாயகி’யானார்.  

On day 7 of Irapathu Uthsavam – it was very grand Muthangi for Sri Parthasarathi, yet all eyes were attracted by the most beautiful lady in a graceful sitting posture infront.  It is no ordinary lady – but one who changed completely yearning for Emperuman’s love .. .. that is Swami Nammalwar expressing his desire for Sriman Narayana and becoming Parankusanayaki.

Nammazhvar cannot bear separation from Lord Narayana and he imagines himself in the role of the Lord’s lover and in this role he is Parankusa Nayaki. He also plays the role of the pining girl’s mother and her friend.  As Parankusa Nayaki, Nammazhvar sends messages to the Lord through birds.  In the pangs of love, Parankusa nayaki could not wait even for a short time, so she sends forth another batch of birds. She tells the parrots to convey to the Lord, that she is inconsolable.

12.1.2020 was day 7 of Irapathu Uthsam -  being day 7,    Sri Parthasarathi Swami adorned Muthangi.  It is eternal bliss, indeed a feast to the eyes to have darshan of Paripuranan wearing a dress beautifully woven with pearls still unable to match the blemishless beauty of Perumal.   In front, there was the divyaprabandha goshti chanting Mamunigal’s Upadesa Rathinamalai and before, led Swami Nammalvar in Nayika  bhavam  ‘Nachiyar Thirukolam’ dressed as the woman [Parankusa Nayaki]  hailing the greatness of Sriman Narayana.

கங்குலும் பகலும் கண்துயிலறியாள் கண்ணநீர் கைகளால் இறைக்கும்*,

சங்குசக்கரங்கள் என்று கைகூப்பும் தாமரைக்கண்ணென்றே  தளரும்*,

எங்ஙனே தரிக்கேன் உன்னை விட்டு என்னும் இருநிலம் கைதுழாவிருக்கும்*,

செங்கயல்பாய்நீர்த் திருவரங்கத்தாய்,  இவள்திறத்து என்  செய்கின்றாயே?

Swami Nammalwar praises the Lord at Thiruvarangam, the place which abounds with beautiful  fishes in the holy river Thiru Cauvery.  Thinking of the Lord holding the Conch and Chakram, she doles out tears  handful  ~ knows not sleeping,  thinking of Him through day and night  and cannot imagine  a living without Him.
