Irapathu uthsavan day 4 (2015) - Thiruvallikkeni Divyadesam

Irapathu Uthsavam is being celebrated in Divyadesams and today is day 4.  Today too, there was grand purappadu of Swami Nammalwar with Sri Parthasarathi Perumal.  Swami Nammalwar categorically instructs us to fall at the lotus feet of Lord Krishna, for that is only way one can be led to moksha ~ surrendering to Lord Krishna is only way of life- in Azhwar’s golden words:

“**அஃதே உய்யப் புகுமாறென்று கண்ணன் கழல்கள்மேல்;
உய்வு பாயம் மற்றின்மை தேறிக் கண்ணன் ஒண்கழல்கள்மேல்**”

Thiruvallikkeni is a mystique divyadesam – Perumal embellishes choicest flowers and is bedecked with beautiful jewels; there is Arulicheyal and Vedaparayana goshti; dedicated group of youngsters rendering service in carrying the Perumal in the Streets, dedicated Battars making wonderful sarruppadi (alankaram) to Him – all adding up to the bliss of devotees.  Today, Perumal had Venkatadri kondai (special type of Crown – which is also worn by Lord Srinivasa) and Nammazhwar had ‘Pandian Kondai’ – another great day.

Here are some photos of today’s purappadu
