Sri Andal Thiruvadipura Uthsavam day 2 - 2021 : உழுவதோரெருத்தினை நுகங்கொடு பாய்ந்து

For Srivaishnavaites, the month of Aadi is of special significance – as Thiruvadipuram [Puram Nakshathiram in the month of Aadi] –  is the  most blessed day for all Srivaishnavaites –  marking  the birth of Kothai Piratti [Andal]  This year Thiruvadipuram falls on Wednesday 11th Aug 2021 and today is day 2 of   Andal Thiruvavathara Uthsavam.

The Tesla Model S is an all-electric five-door liftback sedan produced by Tesla, Inc.  Recently,  Tesla Model S Plaid went head-to-head with the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, and there was no competition. Brooks Weisblat, the host of DragTimes, has been testing the Tesla Model S Plaid in a series of videos on his YouTube channel. Weisblat posted a video comparing the speed of the Model S Plaid on the quarter-mile track at Palm Beach International Raceway with that of a Taycan Turbo S, a Porsche that MotorTrend named one of the fastest production cars in the world earlier this year. In its first attempt, the Tesla beat the Porsche right out of the gate, even though the driver, one of Weisblat's associates, said he had not been able to engage Drag Strip Mode, which lets the Tesla tap into its maximum speed.

Boeing planes come with a yoke to steer the aircraft.   A yoke in an aircraft is a control wheel,  a device used for piloting. The pilot uses the yoke to control the attitude of the plane, usually in both pitch and roll.  When the yoke is pulled back the nose of the aircraft rises. When the yoke is pushed forward the nose is lowered. 

Tesla redesigned its Model S with a yoke-style steering wheel, and critics were wondering: Is it safe for the average driver? Everyone's favorite new Tesla topic is the steering wheel, or rather, the steering yoke, in the Model S. The redesigned Model S comes with a rectangular "wheel" with no top bar. It looks like an upside-down Formula 1 wheel, or, as many people have pointed out  .. .. .. WE have all seen yoke, simply a  wooden beam normally used between a pair of oxen or other animals to enable them to pull together on a load when working in pairs, as oxen usually do; some yokes are fitted to individual animals. .. something on Andal Nachiyar’s reference to yoke !

யோக்  என்று மேலே குறிப்பிடப்பட்டது 'நுகத்தடி'.  நுகத்தடி அல்லது மேக்கால் எனப்படுவது :  ஏர், மாட்டு வண்டி, எண்ணெய் செக்கு, வயல் பறம்படிதல் முதலிய கருவிகளில் எருதுகளை பூட்ட பயன்படும் நீளமான தடி ஆகும். எருதின் இழு விசை வீணாகாமல் ஒருங்கிணைத்து நுகக்கால் வாயிலாக குறிப்பிட்ட கருவிக்கு மாற்ற உதவுகிறது. எருதின் கழுத்தின் மேல் பகுதியில் நுகத்தடி அமர்வதால் எருதின் குரல்வளைக்கு தீங்கு நேராதவாறு அதன் விசையை மட்டும் பயன்பாட்டுக்கு வழங்குகிறது. எருது, மாடு மட்டுமல்லாது குதிரை போன்ற இழுவைத்திறன் கொண்ட மிருகங்களையும் பூட்ட இது உதவும்.

நுகம்  என்பது ஏரிலும் வண்டியிலும் காளைகளைப் பூட்டும் மரம்; எருதின் மேல் வைக்கும் மரத்தடி;  ஆண்டாள் தமது நாச்சியார் திருமொழியில் 'உழுகின்ற எருதினை ஏர் பிடித்த நுகம் கொண்டே இடித்து அதை புறம் தள்ளுவது போன்று' என உரைக்கிறார்.

Andal composed two works  unique in their literary, philosophical, religious, and artistic content.  Here is a pasuram from Nachiyar Thirumozhi which exhibits her total devotion and abject surrender at the feet of Sriman Narayana.

தொழுதுமுப்போது முன்னடி வணங்கித் தூமலர் தூய்த்தொழுதேத்துகின்றேன்*

பழுதின்றிப் பாற்கடல்வண்ணனுக்கே பணிசெய்து வாழப் பெறாவிடில்  நான்*

அழுதழுதலமந்தம்மா வழங்க ஆற்றவுமது உனக்குறைக்குங் கண்டாய் *

உழுவதோரெருத்தினை நுகங்கொடு பாய்ந்து ஊட்டமின்றித் துரந்தாலொக்குமே*

 

ஸ்ரீ பெரியாழ்வார் நந்தவன கைங்கர்யம் பண்ண, கோதை பிராட்டி அனுதினமும் பெருமாளுக்கு மாலைகள் சமர்ப்பித்தது அனைவரும் அறிந்ததே !    ஆண்டாள் தினமும்   மூன்று காலங்களிலும்  ப்ரணாமபூர்வமாக ஸ்ரீமந் நாராயணனையே   ஆச்ரயித்து, அவரது பாத கமலங்களில்,  பரிசுத்தமான புஷ்பங்களைப் கொண்டு ஸேவித்து ஸ்தோத்திரம்செய்து வந்தாள்.   பூமியைச் சூழ்ந்த கடல் போன்ற திருநிறத்தையுடைய கண்ணபிரானுக்கே குற்றமொன்றுமில்லாமல் கைங்கரியம் பண்ணி வாழப் பெறாவிடில், தான் பலகாலும் அழுது அழுது,  தடுமாறி,  ‘அம்மா!’ என்று கதறிக் கொண்டு திரியுமாறு திரிய தன்னைத் துடிக்கவிடுவது கூடாது ! அப்படி  உபேஷிப்பது  ஏருழுகின்ற ஒரு எருதை நுகத்தடியால் தள்ளி, தீனியில்லாமல் ஒட்டிவிடுவதைப் போலாம் என எம்பெருமானிடத்தில் விண்ணப்பித்து தன்னை ரக்ஷித்து சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுமாறு நெக்குறுகி வேண்டும் பாசுரம் இது.
