thinking of Holy Thirumala ~ **கொள்ளமாளா இன்ப வெள்ளம்*

As We go to divyadesams especially the holy Thirumala Thirupathi, even as we wait for darshan, the thought fills mind, on when we would be able to come again! ~ most devotees would after HIS darshan would not turn and try walking backwards, in the hope of having His darshan for few more seconds .. .. only very few! [are there really any !] would be satisfied with the few milli-seconds darshan of Thiruvengadavan.

In this material world people tend to measure everything !   If you don’t satisfy your customers, your business will fail, if the oft repeated cliché. The data, they say,  backs this up.  Growing businesses are more likely to prioritize customer success than those with stagnant or decreasing revenue. Successful customers can become the best salespeople, as well.   Customer satisfaction is defined as a measurement that determines how happy customers are with a company’s products, services, and capabilities. Customer satisfaction information, including surveys and ratings, can help a company determine how to best improve or changes its products and services.

Life offers many challenges and sometimes is full of struggles - When you feel you have lived a good life and brought up and provided adequately for the family and feel satisfied of doing something to the community, society, sampradhayam    - that is the height of satisfaction. Because, so long as you live whatever you did to get utmost satisfaction at one time will seem less when another goalpost looms into view for you to reach and experience more satisfaction. It is like Usain Bolt's continuous ambitious attempts to break his own 100 meter running record to get better satisfaction than the one he got when he did it first. That is life.

Contentment is an emotional state of satisfaction that can be seen as a mental state, maybe drawn from being at ease in one's situation, body and mind. Colloquially speaking, contentment could be a state of having accepted one's situation and is a milder and more tentative form of happiness. Contentment and the pursuit of contentment are possibly a central thread through many philosophical or religious schools across diverse cultures, times and geographies.

Contentment is a totally different phenomenon. It happens only to the meditator; only the meditator becomes so blissful, so peaceful, because he has arrived. For a Srivaishnavaite, simple surrender to Emperuman, doing kainkaryams to Him and His devotees – allows a peaceful, happy, contented life .. ..

Praying our Emperuman at Thiruvengadam – Ezhumalaivasan, Govindha, Thirupathi Balaji – Lord Srinivasa, peace, happiness, satisfaction, contentment in everything but not in having His darshan and doing kainkaryam at divyadesams.  Here are some photos taken by me during earlier visits to the holy Thirumala.
