Thiruvallikkeni Margazhi Kettai - 2024 : Sree Partha saarade pahimam

Sree Partha saarade pahimam

Shrutha jana palaka pahimam

Today is Kettai nakshathiram in the month of Margazhi – sarrumurai vaibhavan of Thondaradipodi Azhwar – there was periya mada veethi purappadu at Thiruvallikkeni divyadesam and thousands were fortunate to have darshan of Bhagwan Sree Krishna – Sri Parthasarathi.

काङ् क्षन्त: कर्मणां सिद्धिं यजन्त इह देवता: |

क्षिप्रं हि मानुषे लोके सिद्धिर्भवति कर्मजा ||

khanta karmaā siddhi yajanta iha devatā

khipra hi mānuhe loke siddhir bhavati karmajā

In this earthly World,  everyday we face problems.  Depending on our mindset, we categorise them as big and formidable.  We rush and seek holy intervention.  Most people like us - seek worldly gains by  worshipping  the celestial gods and seek boons from them. The boons the celestial gods bestow are material and temporary, and they are given only by virtue of the power they have received from the Supreme Lord.  Those are blessed who  realize that there is no point in going to the intermediary and approach the Supreme Lord for the fulfillment of their aspirations.

Life is short and simple ! never live a life of fear.  Surrender to the lotus feet of Sri Parthasarathi Emperuman.  Those who are intelligent enough to understand possess lower aspirations – they worship Emperuman without seeking small boons – kainkaryam to Emperuman is most important.  Firmly believe that Bhagwan Sree Krishna will take care of us and would grant us better and more boons that we can imagine and beseech.

Most likely you have heard the magic voice of KJ Yesudas singing this beautiful Malayalam song “Sree Partha saarade pahimam”  in Keeravani ragam  on Sri Parthasarathi though this perhaps is on Aramula Perumal (Thiruvarnvilai divyadesam)

Chowalloor Krishnan kutti  gained place in the hearts of Malayalis with his popular devotional songs. His popular songs included ‘Oru neramengilum kanathe Vayyente Guruvayurrappa nin Divya roopam’; ‘Guruvayur omana Kannanamunnikku Chila Neramundoru Kalla nottam’.  He wrote  around 3,000 devotional songs.  Chowalloor  donned the role of a screenwriter for a few Malayalam films namely 'Prabhatasandhya', 'Sreeragam', 'Karpooradeepam' and 'Chaithanyam'. He wrote the dialogues for 'Sargam'.  Chowalloor also made documentaries on Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavatar, Kalamandalam Kalyanikuttiamma, Kalamandalam Ramankutty Nair, Kalamandalam Appukutty Poduval, Keezhppadam Sukumaraan Nair, Kudamalur Karunakaran Nair and Chambakkulam Pachupilla.

The song mentioned here  is  part of album ‘Thulasi Theertham’ released in 1986 – music of TS Radhakrishnanji, lyrics Chovvallur Krishnan kutty.

Sree Partha saarade pahimam - Shrutha jana palaka pahimam

Koorirul chirakadicharkkum Bheekara Ghora vanangaliloode

Vattiya mizhi neer chalukalil -  Thee Kathum marubhumiyilude

Apath baandhava njan alayunnu, Jeevithamam ee radham urulathe

Sree Partha saarade pahimam  . .. .. Shrutha jana palaka pahimam

Uttavarambin uravukal udayavar; Chuttum nirayay nikkukayallo

Ashrutha valsala njan thalarunnu; Arod adaraadum ennariyathe

Sree Partha saarade pahimam; Shrutha jana palaka pahimam

Here are some photos of the most beautiful Sri Parthasarathi Emperuman of Thiruvallikkeni divyadesam taken today.
