Geting tied to the golden feet of Emperuman is our slavery .. .. மனத்தடைய வைப்பதாம் மாலை

 

In 1858 Texas, brothers Ace and Dicky Speck drive a group of shackled black slaves. Among them is Django, sold off and separated from his wife Broomhilda von Shaft, a house slave who speaks German and English. They are stopped by Dr. King Schultz, a German dentist-turned-bounty hunter seeking to buy Django for his knowledge of the three outlaw Brittle brothers. They were overseers at the plantation of Django's previous owner and Schultz has a warrant for their arrests.  

Slavery is worst ! – worst form of crime against humans, by humans ! – the perpetrators Europe and other Western countries called other Nations cruel and is still commenting about the way people are treated rest of the World burying history of what they did and preaching as though they have been kind and hearty ! The transatlantic trade in enslaved Africans, operated between the fifteenth and late nineteenth centuries, involved the horrific trafficking of millions of women, men and children, mostly from West Africa to the Americas. This forced displacement enriched imperial and other powers. It also gave rise to false narratives of white supremacy and racial inferiority, which were used to justify this shameful practice and which continue to plague our societies today. The International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade is, therefore, not just about remembering the past. It is about taking action today to dismantle the structures that continue to hold back people of African descent.  

Rio de Janeiro was once the world's largest slave city – and a walking tour through its "Little Africa" region is the best way to explore the history that shaped Brazil's national identity.  There is a pit, glass-covered on, where fragments of human bones lie  scattered in the earth. Evocative as the sight  is, it is  a fraction of the estimated 30,000 bodies deliberately buried and hidden from sight in the Gamboa neighbourhood in Rio de Janeiro's downtown.  It was a mass grave. Unearthed in 1996 during the renovations of a family home, the pit of bones was confirmed by archaeologists to be an 18th-Century makeshift burial ditch created by the Portuguese for the enslaved Africans who died from the two-month-long Atlantic crossing to Rio de Janeiro.    

 

அடிமைமுறை என்பது வலுக்கட்டாயமாக மனிதர்களைப் பிற மனிதர்கள் பிடித்து வைத்து, அவர்களை தங்களுக்கு இஷ்டப்பட்ட செயல்களை செய்யவைக்கும் கயமைத்தனம்.  இம்முறை நெடுங்காலமாக பல நாடுகளில் வழக்கில் இருந்துவந்துள்ளது என்பதை சரித்திரம் விளக்குகிறது.  . இப்படி வலுக்கட்டாயம் செய்யப்பட்ட மனிதர்கள் அவர்களுடைய முதலாளிகளால், பிற பொருட்களைப் போல வாங்கி, விற்கப்பட்டனர். 

அடிமை வாழ்க்கை இரண்டு விதம். ஒன்று  மனிதன், தனிப்பட்ட மற்றொருவனுக்கு அடிமைப்படுவது, மற்றொன்று, ஒரு அரசாட்சிக்கு மற்றொரு நாடு அடிமைப் படுவது. அந்நியர்கள், ஐரோப்பா கண்டத்தவர், குறிப்பாக ஆங்கிலேயர்கள் பல நாடுகளை தங்கள் காலனிகளாக வைத்து இருந்தனர்.  பிரித்தானியர் நம்மை ஆண்ட காலம் ஓர் இருந்த காலம்.  நம் வளமான தேசத்தின் -  சொத்தும் வளமையும் வெளிநாடுகளுக்கு கொண்டு செல்லப்பட்டது.  நம் மக்கள் கொடுமைப்படுத்தப்பட்டனர். .  'Drain of Wealth' என்று பல ஆங்கிலேயே பொருளாதார நிபுணர்கள் ஒப்புக்கொள்கின்றனர்.

நம் இனிய ஸ்ரீவைணவத்தில் அடிமைப்படுவது எம்பெருமானுக்கே !

மனத்தடைய வைப்பதாம் மாலை, - வனத்திடரை

ஏரியாம் வண்ணம் இயற்றும்  இதுவல்லால்,

மாரியார் பெய்கிற்பார் மற்று.

சேதநனாகிய தனக்கு அடிமை  அமைந்திருக்கின்றது  என்பதை  தான்தெரிந்துகொள்ள அசக்தனாயிருந்தாலும்,  எம்பெருமான் தானாகவே மனத்திலே வந்து சேர்ந்த அளவிலே, அப்பெருமானை  இடங்கொடுத்து வைத்துக்கொள்வது தகும்;  பக்தனான இவனுக்கு இவ்வளவு ருசிமாத்திரம் உண்டானால் விரோதியைப் போக்கித் தன்னைத் தானே தந்தருள்வன் எம்பெருமான்; அது எங்ஙனே யென்னில்; காடெழுந்து கிடக்கிற மேட்டு நிலத்தை, பெய்யும் மழைநீர் அப்பால் போகாமல் தடையின்றி வந்து புகும்படி, ஏரியாகக் குழி வெட்டுதல் செய்யக்கூடுமேயன்றி பின்னும் மழையை பெய்யும்படி செய்விக்க வல்லவர்கள் யாவருளர்? (மழை பெய்வது பகவத் ஸங்கல்பத்தாலன்றோ?.) 

எம்பெருமானை பூஜித்தலும், அவன் உகக்கும் செயல்களையும், அவனடியார்க்கு நற்சேவைகள் செய்வது போன்றவை மூலம், பக்தர்கள் தங்களை மேம்படுத்திக்கொண்டு எம்பெருமானிடத்திலே மென்மேலும் ஈர்க்கப்பட்டு, அவனையே தங்கள் உள்ளங்களில் கொண்டு ஆனந்திப்பர்.

The description at the start is about 2012 Quentin Tarantino directed movie – ‘Django Unchained’    starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, and many others. The Antebellum South era (from Latin: ante bellum, lit. 'before the war') was a period in the history of the Southern United States that extended from the conclusion of the War of 1812 to the start of the American Civil War in 1861. This era was marked by the prevalent practice of slavery and the associated societal norms it cultivated.   The touching movie was set in the Antebellum South and Old West, and its title refers particularly to the 1966 Italian film Django by Sergio Corbucci (that film's star, Franco Nero, has a cameo appearance in Tarantino's). The story follows a slave who trains under a German bounty hunter with the ultimate goal of reuniting with his wife.
