Pattabisheka Thirukolam ~ Theppam 2020
The 6th day of Theppothsavam is for
Sri Rama Piran – the great Maryadha purush who crossed Ganges in boats driven
by Guhan. .. .. On this day, Sri Ramar has purappadu in Pattabisheka thirulokam. This occurs every year .. ..
There have been very many decades but 2019 was
different - after decades of mandir-masjid politics in the
country, the Supreme Court of India gave the land to God on Saturday (November
9). Lord Ram- the deity Ram Lalla, was recognised as a legitimate legal
personality and given the title to the entire 2.77-acre disputed property in
Ayodhya. The five-judge Constitution
bench of CJI Ranjan Gogoi, Justice SA Bobde, DY Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and
SA Nazeer pronounced its verdict in a special hearing. The landmark judgment envisaged that the disputed
property will be managed in Lord Ram's name by a temple trust that has to be
set up by the Central government under
the provisions of the Acquisition of Certain Area at Ayodhya Act 1993. In addition, the Supreme Court declined to
release the 'undisputed' 67 acres that had been acquired by the central
Government in 1993, and this additional land will also be handed over to the
trust for the temple. The 5-judge constitutional bench led by Chief Justice
Ranjan Gogoi ruled that there was no evidence offered by Muslims to the
disputed inner structure prior to 1857 since the date of the construction, of
the now razed Babri Majid, in the sixteenth century. We pray to our Emperuman that by next year Rama Pattabisheka thirukolam
at Thiruvallikkeni theppam, we would be able to have darshan of Lord Rama in a
fantastic temple constructed at the very place HE was born.

Thigayya (Thiyagarajar) melts on thinking on
Sri Ramapiran ~ he pleads to Him - Oh son of Dasharatha! Destroyer of
Rakshasas! Show me mercy and protect me.
नचानृतकथो विद्वान् वृद्धानां प्रतिपूजकः
। अनुरक्तः प्रजाभिश्च प्रजाश्चाप्यनुरञ्जते ॥
நசாந்ருதகதோ வித்வாந் வ்ருத்தாநாம்
ப்ரதிபூஜக: ।
அநுரக்த: ப்ரஜாபிஸ்ச ப்ரஜாஸ்சாப்யநுரஞ்ஜதே
॥
Our Lord Rama - He spoke nothing but truth. He was
learned, but at the same time, He was enthusiastic about
respecting elders. He was loved by his people and he loved his people.
நமக்கு பெருமையும் சிறப்பும்
நம் இதிஹாச புராணங்களாலே ! ~ இராமாயணம் க்ஷத்ரிய
வீர இராமனின் அருமைகளை இயம்பும் காதை. தந்தை
சொல் கேட்டு சிறப்பான நகரத்தை துறந்து வனம் ஏகிய நம் அண்ணல் இராமபிரான் தனது பயணத்திலே
சந்தித்த ஒரு வேட்டுவன், குகன். வேட்டுவர்
குலத் தலைவனான அவன் அரையில் ஆடையும் காலில் தோல் செருப்பும் அணிந்தவன்;
இடுப்பைச் சுற்றிக் கட்டிய ஒன்றோடு ஒன்று பிணைக்கப்பட்ட புலி வாலை உடையவன்; வீரக் கழலுடன்
அணிகலன்கள் பல அணிந்தவன்; பாறை போன்ற பரந்த
மார்பும், இந்திரனது வச்சிராயுதத்தைப் போன்ற இடையும், நீண்ட கைகளும், கருமையான நிறத்தைப் பெற்ற உடலும் கொண்டவன். கங்கையாற்றின் பக்கத்திலே அமைந்த சிருங்கி பேரம்
என்று சொல்லப்படும் நகரத்தில் வாழும் வாழ்க்கையைப் பெற்றவன். பொய் நீங்கிய மனத்தினன். யானைக் கூட்டம் போன்ற சுற்றத்தினரைப் பெற்றவன்;
அவன் ஆயிரம் ஓடங்களுக்குத் தலைவன்; தூய கங்கையாற்றின் ஆழம் அளவு உயர்ந்தவன்;
- அவனது பெருமைகளை நம் கவிச்சக்கரவர்த்தி கம்பர்
:
கங்கை இரு கரை உடையான்; கணக்கு இறந்த நாவாயான்;
உங்கள் குலத் தனி
நாதற்கு - உயிர்த் துணைவன்; உயர் தோளான்;
வெங்கரியின் ஏறு
அனையான்; வில் பிடித்த வேலையினான்;
கொங்கு அலரும் நறுந்
தண்தார்க் குகன் என்னும் குறி உடையான்.
புனித கங்கையாற்றின்
இரண்டு கரைப் பகுதியில் நிலங்களை கொண்டவன்; எண்ணற்ற படகுளை கொண்டவன், சூரிய வம்சத்தில் திருவவதாரம் செய்தருளிய ஒப்பற்ற
தலைவனான இராமனுக்கு - உயிர்த் துணைவன் - என
புகழ்கிறார்.
Mere chanting of the name ‘Sree Rama’ would
provide everything to us ~ he is the greatest benefactor ~ the Maryadha Purush
~ the greatest epitome of all virtues Lord Rama. The greatest of the
Ithihasa puranamn * Sri Ramayanam * has had its influence across centuries,
countries and cultures - Maryadha Purush Sri Rama has illuminated
the lives of millions imparting lessons in various spheres - statecraft,
conduct, family and societal values. It has set rules for war and peace, for
daily life and during times of crisis propagating the importance of justice,
virtue, love and sacrifice and indicting greed, lust, the evils of power and
covetousness.
Pleasant things give
happiness to everyone and there cannot be more pleasant sight than that of
Sri Rama Pattabishekam ~ the eternal state of bliss- the
most complete picture of happiness to everyone in the Kingdom.
Kavichakravarthi Kambar describes the mega event saying it justified the
name of earth. Earth in Tamil is ‘Puvi’ [Bhoomi : பூமி] ~ which
characteristically is the one with flowers [பூ]. The sages and angels were outpouring choicest
flowers from all directions, it was raining fragrant flowers ~ earth appeared
as if totally covered by those flowers offered celebrating the Coronation
celebrations of Sri Rama.
தேவரும் முனிவர்தாமும் திசைதொறும் மலர்கள் சிந்த*
ஓவல் இல் மாரி ஏய்ப்ப, எங்கணும் உதிர்ந்து வீங்கிக்*
கேவலமலராய், வேறு ஓர் இடம் இன்றிக் கிடந்த ஆற்றால்*,
பூ எனும் நாமம், இன்று இவ்உலகிற்குப் பொருந்திற்று அன்றே.
It is our total belief that
by listening to the highly meaningful and auspicious poetical composition
of Sri Ramayana, a person gets family-prosperity, augmentation in money and
grain, superior quality of life, peace of mind, exquisite happiness and
all the acquisition of wealth on this earth.
Today, the Lord treated his
devotees – a fascinating depiction of Sitadevi seated along Lord Sri Rama
with the valiant Lakshmana holding the umbrella and Sri Hanuman doing service
at the lotus feet of the Lord. Today, 28th Feb 2929 was
Theppothsavam of Lord Rama – and it was the most beautiful sarrupadi
[alankaram] as ‘Pattabisheka Ramar’. Here are some photos of the grand
