Oceans are mighty ~ to us it is Sriman Narayana's resting place :

Oceans ! ~ the vast bodies of water surrounding the continents are critical to humankind.  Our own Triplicane is on the shores of a mighty Sea – the Bay of Bengal.  An Ocean is a continuous body of saltwater that covers more than 70 percent of the Earth's surface. Ocean currents govern the world's weather and churn a kaleidoscope of life. Humans depend on these teeming waters for comfort and survival, but global warming and overfishing threaten to leave the ocean agitated and empty.  Geographers divide the ocean into five major basins: the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Arctic, and Southern. Smaller ocean regions such as the Mediterranean Sea, Gulf of Mexico, and the Bay of Bengal are called seas, gulfs, and bays. Inland bodies of saltwater such as the Caspian Sea and the Great Salt Lake are distinct from the world's oceans.

The oceans hold about 321 million cubic miles (1.34 billion cubic kilometers) of water, which is roughly 97 percent of Earth's water supply. Seawater's weight is about 3.5 percent dissolved salt; oceans are also rich in chlorine, magnesium, and calcium. The oceans absorb the sun's heat, transferring it to the atmosphere and distributing it around the world. This conveyor belt of heat drives global weather patterns and helps regulate temperatures on land, acting as a heater in the winter and an air conditioner in the summer.

Tens of thousands of miles away, in the vast horizon - Saturn’s largest moon Titan is an extraordinary and exceptional world. Among our solar system’s more than 150 known moons, Titan is the only one with a substantial atmosphere. And of all the places in the solar system, Titan is the only place besides Earth known to have liquids in the form of rivers, lakes and seas on its surface.  Titan has clouds, rain, rivers, lakes and seas of liquid hydrocarbons like methane and ethane. The largest seas are hundreds of feet deep and hundreds of miles wide. Beneath Titan’s thick crust of water ice is more liquid—an ocean primarily of water rather than methane. Titan’s subsurface water could be a place to harbour life as we know it, while its surface lakes and seas of liquid hydrocarbons could conceivably harbour life that uses different chemistry than we’re used to—that is, life as we don’t yet know it. Titan could also be a lifeless world !

Scientists one day hope to be able to plunge a submarine under the surface of Titan, Saturn's biggest moon. Nasa hopes to be able to do so within the next 20 years. For us, the Ocean of significance is ‘Thiruparkadal’ where Lord Sriman Narayana reclines on Adisesha.

Sri Peyalwar whose darshan was enabled by the lights lit by Poigai alwar  and Boothathalwar –  asks : is it the deep-Ocean hue of the Lord that is beautiful; was the  water [that eventually became sacred Ganges because it washed the lotus feet of Emperuman] poured on the lotus feet of the Lord by Brahma  - when Sriman Narayana accepted the gift of land,  and in accepting stretched His foot into space – beautiful ….

~  to us it only Sriman Narayana and the dazzling beauty of Sri Parthasarathi Perumal – 9th Nov 2014 was Rohini and there was chinna maada veethi purappadu - in the goshti, it was Sri Peyalwar’s moonram thiruvanthathi sevai. .  Here are some photos through which all of  us can enjoy the sublime beauty of Emperuman.
