Sri Peyalwar Sarrumurai - purappadu at Thiruvallikkeni - 2013

I had recently posted on Muthal Azhwargal  - about Sri Peyalwar and the Avathara sthalam at Arundale Street, Mylapore, Chennai.

Today 5th Nov 2013 (Aippaisiyil Sadayam) is  the birthday of Sri Peyalwar.  He was born in Mylai Thiruvallikkeni and in his Moondram Thiruvanthathi, has sung in praise of Sri Parthasarathi.  He  describes that at Thiruvallikkeni waves are white as milk and there are red pavazham and white pearls at the time of twilight and at that sandhya time he has the darshan of the Lord at Thiruvalllikeni

In the morning Sri Peyalwar was taken in purappadu in a small pallakku to Periya sannathi and from there, there was purappadu of Sri Parthasarathi accompanied by Sri Peyazhwar.

In Peyalwar sannadhi, there was Thirumanjanam, veedhi purappadu in the evening whence Ramanuja Noorranthathi was recited. Later it was Thiruvaimozhi patham pathu sarrumurai and around 0830 pm, Perumal had purappadu back to the temple.

Here are some photos taken in the morning purappadu and in the evening back to temple
