"தேனித்து இருமின்" - தேனிப்பு என்றால் தியானம் செய்தல் என கொள்ளலாம். தேன் என்பது இனிப்பு, தேனித்து இருப்போருக்கு மகிழ்வு; தேறல், தெளிவு; என எல்லா நன்மையையும் வரும். தேனித்து இருங்கோள் - மகிழ்ச்சி கொண்டிருங்கள்.

உலகில் வழங்கப்படும் ஒவ்வொரு பெயருக்கும் ஒரு குறிப்பட்ட பண்பு இருப்பதாக பண்டைக்காலம் முதலே மக்கள் நம்பி வந்துள்ளனர். அடைய விரும்பும் பண்புகளுக்கு ஏற்ப, பெயர்களை வைத்துக் கொள்ளும் பழக்கம் மக்களிடம் இன்றும் இருந்து வருகிறது. . விரும்பிப் போற்றப்படுகின்ற ஒருவரது பெயரை, மற்றொருவருக்கு வைப்பதோடு, வழங்கப்படுவதால், அப் பெயருக்கு உரிய பண்பைத் தாமும் பெறலாம் என்று மக்கள் கருதுகின்றனர். நம்மால் விரும்பப்படுகின்ற நமது முன்னோர் பெயரையே, பின்னர் வரும் குழந்தைகளுக்கு வைப்பதும் வழக்கமாக உள்ளது.
