Floral kireedam of Emperuman - Sigathadai 2023

Today it is about the Crown, nay not of the King but that of Emperuman, floral kireedam to be precise !!  

இன்று 24.6.2023n  முடிவுற்ற கோடை உத்சவத்தின் சிறப்பு ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் எம்பெருமான் ஸ்ரீபார்த்தசாரதி அணிந்த வெவ்வேறு அற்புதமான கிரீடங்களும் கூட.   தங்க வெள்ளி ஆபரணங்களாலான அழகு கிரீடங்கள் தெரியும்.  .. ..   மலர்க்கிரீடங்கள் எப்படி இருக்கும் ?? 

The Crown Jewels are the most famous of the Britain’s treasures. They include over 100 extraordinary items including orbs, sceptres, and crowns. All are closely connected with the status and role of the monarch. The oldest of these is the 12th-century spoon used to anoint the king or queen at the coronation. Housed at the Tower of London, the Crown Jewels are the most complete collection of royal regalia.  They are used at occasions such as the coronation service and the State Opening of Parliament.  

St Edward's Crown is the crown used at the moment of coronation. It was made for Charles II in 1661, as a replacement for the medieval crown which had been melted down in 1649. The original was thought to date back to the eleventh-century royal, Edward the Confessor – the last Anglo-Saxon king of England.  The crown was commissioned from the Royal Goldsmith, Robert Vyner, in 1661.  

As you would know, Crown is a traditional form of head adornment, worn by monarchs as a symbol of their power and dignity. A crown is often, by extension, a symbol of the monarch's government or items endorsed by it. The word itself is used, particularly in Commonwealth countries, as an abstract name for the monarchy itself, as distinct from the individual who inhabits it (that is, The Crown).  A coronation crown is a crown used by a monarch when being crowned.  The current  Edward's Crown is 22-carat gold, 30 centimetres (12 in) tall, weighs 2.23 kilograms (4.9 lb), and is decorated with 444 precious and fine gemstones.  After 1689, owing to its weight the crown was not used to crown any monarch for over 200 years. In 1911, the tradition was revived by George V and has continued ever since, including at the 2023 coronation of Charles III and Camilla.   

The foregoing could be just irrelevant details to those who live in Divyadesams for worshipping Emperuman daily in His various adornments.    Worship Him daily  – everyday He would give darshan  refreshingly fresh and different exhibiting absolute benevolence and grace.  Today, at Thiruvallikkeni, for Sri Parthasarathi Emperuman, the added attraction was the kireedam (crown)  called ‘Sigathadai’  (சிகத்தாடை).  On the Crown, reams of jasmine flower are tightly rolled and it is closed with ‘pure white silk’.  It was a great darshan to behold for the eyes of Bakthas.

 

 

சங்க கால தமிழ் பெண்கள் தங்கள் கூந்தலை குழல், அளகம், கொண்டை, பணிச்சை, துஞ்சை என ஐந்து வகையாக ஒப்பனை செய்து கொண்டார்கள் என, மதுரைக்காஞ்சி நூல் கூறுகின்றது. கூந்தல் மீது அணிகின்ற பொருட்களை, தலை அணிகலன்கள் என்கின்றனர். இவற்றில் மகுடம் எனும் அணிகலனும் ஒன்றாகும். 

மன்னர்கள் படங்களில் கிரீடம் அணிந்து வருவதை கண்ணுற்று இருப்பீர்கள்.   கடவுளர் படங்களிலும், தலையில்  அழகான கிரீடங்கள் இருக்கும்.   இந்த மகுட அணிகலன் ,கிரீட மகுடம், கரண்ட மகுடம், சடா மகுடம், ஜீவால மகுடம் என பல வகைகளில் உள்ளன. சிவபெருமானுக்கு அவருடைய சடையையே மகுடம் போல அமைப்பது சடாமகுடம் எனப்படுகிறது. 

தோன்றுவதற்கு மாறாக, மலர் கிரீடங்களை உருவாக்குவது அவ்வளவு எளிதல்ல !  இது ஏதோ மலர்களை வெட்டி, ஒட்டி செய்யப்படும் ஏற்பாடு அல்ல, அது போன்ற உருவாக்கம் சினிமா செட்டுக்கு உபயோகப்படலாம்.  எம்பெருமானுக்கு நல்ல இயற்கையிலேயே மணமுள்ள அன்றலர்ந்த மலர்கள் மட்டுமே கொண்டு பக்தி சிரத்தையுடன் உருவாக்கப்படுதல் வேண்டும்.

 

இன்று திருவல்லிக்கேணி திவ்யதேசத்தில் கோடை உத்சவத்தில் கடைசி நாள் - சாற்றுமுறை புறப்பாடு. ஸ்ரீபார்த்தசாரதி எம்பெருமான்   பெரிய மாட வீதி / வெங்கட்ரங்கம் பிள்ளை தெரு /  கேட் ஆம் வழியாக குளக்கரை  புறப்பாடு கண்டு அருளினார்.   அற்புதமான சாற்றுப்படியில்  ஸ்ரீ பார்த்தசாரதி மிக அழகுற மிளிர்ந்தார்.   "சிகத்தாடை" எனும் தலைக்கிரீடம்,  ராஜாக்கள் அணியும் கொண்டை போல அழகு மிளிர்ந்தது. கிரீடத்தின் மீது பல முழங்கள் மல்லிகை பூ சாற்றி, அதன் மீது வெள்ளை பட்டு உடுத்தி தயாரான கிரீடம் அணிந்து,  பெருமாள் சிறப்புற வீதி புறப்பாடு  கண்டு அருளினார். புறப்பாட்டின் போது எடுக்கப்பட்ட சில படங்கள் இங்கே:
