The purpose of life is to some good to others ~ our Sampradhayam highlights this – more pronouncedly – kainkaryam to Emperuman and His Bagavathas.
Yet, doing service is not
all that easy – the path is hindered with many pebbles or rocks ! – as one may
encounter. I have been an active member
of Srinivas Youngmens Association (SYMA) doing social service in Triplicane,
engaged in providing medical service and Educational Service.
Sometime back, met this
young and energetic person, who is at a different level – some other
stratosphere – doing service, taking care of injured cows and bulls, spreading
our sampradhayam through books and propaganda – ensuring that youngsters are
initiated to Sanathana dharma. Pracharam
is his initiative. According to the
website, the goal of pracharam.in is
to bring everyone together as one, and elevate them beyond this mundane world.
We want everyone – irrespective of age, understanding levels, economic stature,
gender, birth, etc – to come together and celebrate the glorious tradition of
Sanatana Dharma. Joy can be found as stories in Sanatana Dharma. These stories
are rooted in the Veda, Vedanta, Itihasa, Purana, Arulicheyal (works of
Azhwars), and Stotras (compositions of Acharyas). Elevating people, by sharing
these is our means to achieve our goal.
Today was blessed to
receive a kit named ‘Ayodhya’ from Pracharam.
