After the grand Chithirai Brahmothsavam, it is now vidayaarri for Sri Parthasarathi Perumal – Carnatic kutcheries have been arranged and on day 1 it was Rahul Vellal. On 19.5.2023 it was Smt. Vishakha Hari with B Ananthakrishnan on Violin; SJ Arjun Ganesh Mrudangam and Anirudh Athreya Kanjira.

Smt. Vishakha Hari is a super star performer in bakthi music and one wondered whether it could be ‘Hari Katha’ – Sangeetha Upanyasam or traditional Carnatic singing !!
What was served was a great exceptional sweet rendering with choicest keerthanas and anecdotes revolving around Sri Parthasarathi Emperuman saritham. More on this in a specific post later !

trio excelled too. This lad in the mould
of Jaddu (Sir Ravindra Jadeja in hairstyle and mannerism) enticed even those
like me not so well-versed in Carnatic music and kindly posed for a photo
outside the temple.

SJ Arjun Ganesh hails from the Cauvery delta Kumbakonam known for its rich musical tradition. He started learning Mridangam in Carnatic Music at the age of five from Poongulam Sri. Arjun Ganesh is Graded A from AIR and regularly performs for Doordarshan (TV) and All India Radio. Arjun Ganesh is a frequently performing artiste at prestigious venues. Arjun Ganesh is the founder of ‘LAYA-AALAYA’ Mridangam School, teaching mridangam for more than eighty students over the past fifteen years in Chennai. He has won many Awards and Titles.
