The greatest of the Ithihasa puranam has had its
influence across centuries, countries and cultures - Maryadha Purush Sri
Ramapiran has illuminated the lives of millions. Even in wildest of imaginations, one would
struggle to find a person with such admirable and rare qualities that Sri Rama
piran possessed – it is the real life depiction Ramayana of Valmeeki that portrays an entire
civilization told through the central
characters of the story, Sree Rāma, Seetā, Lakshmanan and Hanuman as ideal, because each
one of them chose to lead a noble life of their choice and preserved their
character even under the most trying circumstances. They stayed on the right
side of the equation, without regard to personal difficulties and sacrifices
that their choices called upon.
Vālmeeki’s grandeur epic clearly describes the four
enduring urges: Knowledge, Power, Wealth and Comfort. These urges of people are natural and
universal and eternal. The one who has
a lifelong interest in acquiring knowledge and feels good in identifying
himself with knowledge, and a man of courage is the ultimate hero worthy of
emulation. In Baala Gaanda, sage Valmiki
says :
Of
the Yuga Purush, Sri Ramachandra, the sage utters that His sense of right and
wrong is acute and unfailing; He honors
his words always; He is constantly engaged in the welfare and wellbeing of the
people. His unblemished reputation
reached far and wide. He was one wealth
of knowledge, pure within and out and focussed always on welfare of His
subjects, protecting them.
The
9day Sri Rama Navami Uthsavam commenced today [7th Apr 2016] at Thiruvallikkeni and various other
divyadesams. Here are some photos of
today’s purappadu of Seetha sametha Sri Ramar with Sri Lakshmana.
