Geethacharyan at Thiruvallikkeni divyadesam 2023

Triplicane is a mystic land ! – it houses the temple of Sri Parthasarathi Emperuman and is a famous divyadesam. 

வந்து  நின்றான் கண்ணன் !! வந்து  நின்றான் !!!

பாரதப்  போர்தனிலே பார்த்தனுக்கு சாரதியாய்  தேரோட்டும் .. ..

கார்கொண்ட இடமாம் ஓர் திருவல்லிக்கேணியிலே;

பாற்கடல் வண்ணணாம் பரந்தாமன் குடி கொண்டான்......

பார்க்க கண் ஆயிரம் போதுமோ எழில் கார்மேக வண்ணணாம் பார்த்தசாரதியை

பார்க்க கண் ஆயிரம் போதுமோ  !!  

Brahmanda puranam ascribes that the five deities were worshipped by Saptharishis (Bhrigu, Marichi, Atri, Markendeya, Sumathi, Saptharoma and Jabali) – the presiding deity is Sri Venkata Krishnan – Geethacharyar.  King Sumathi prayed Thiruvengadamudaiyan for darshan of the Charioteer of Arjuna and at Brindaranya Sri Parthasarathi Emperuman gives darshan with scars of the battle !!  

श्रीभगवानुवाच |

काम्यानां कर्मणां न्यासं सन्न्यासं कवयो विदु: |

सर्वकर्मफलत्यागं प्राहुस्त्यागं विचक्षणा:  

The Supreme Divine Personality said: Giving up of actions motivated by desire is what the wise understand as sanyās. Relinquishing the fruits of all actions is what the learned declare to be tyāg.  Supreme Bhagwan Krishna  tells  that wise people lay emphasis on tyāg, meaning “internal renunciation.” This implies not relinquishing the prescribed Vedic duties, rather renouncing the desires for enjoying their fruits.
