ஆசார்ய சார்வபௌமர் நலமந்தமில்லாதோர் திருநாட்டை அலங்கரித்த தினம் ~  திருவத்யயனம்  (தீர்த்தம்) என ஸ்ரீவைணவர்களால் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. இது நம் ஒப்பிலா மணவாள மாமுனிகளுக்கு மிக சிறப்பாக திருவரங்கத்திலும்  திருப்பதியிலும்  கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. 

Today, mAsi dwadasi is the thiruvadhyayana day of our reverred acarya, Swami Manvala Mamunigal.b The day on which an acharya leaves the samsara (sorrow filled material world) and reaches paramapadam (spiritual world of Sriman Narayana which contains unlimited happiness) is celebrated every year as Thiruvadhyayanam or Theertham.  It is the  prime duty of every  sishya  to celebrate the thirunakshatram and theertha dinam of his acharya.  This is shown to the world by Namperumal Himself who does the duties of a shisya on this day to his acharya, Sri Manavala Mamunigal  every year. 

In Thiruvallikeni,  the thiruvathyayana mahotsavam gets  celebrated in the Vanamamalai mutt with thiruvaimozhi ghosti, upadesaratina malai and thiruvaimozhi nootrandhAdhi ghosti. 

ஸ்ரீ வைஷ்ணவத்தின் சொர்க்க பூமியான  பூலோக வைகுண்டத்தில் நிகழ்ந்த முகம்மதியர் படையெடுப்பால் பல்லாயிரக்கணக்கானோர் கோயிலையும், நம்பெருமாளையும் பாதுகாக்கும் பணியில் ஈடுபட்டு இன்னுயிர் ஈந்தனர்.   வெள்ளநீர் பரந்து பாயும் விரிபொழிலரங்கம் எனும் புகழ்ச்சி பெற்ற திருவரங்கத்து மதில்களும்,  வீதிகளும் அங்கு வாழ்ந்த ஸ்ரீவைஷ்ணவர்கள் துயரங்களை கண் நோக்கிய  - பதினான்காம் நூற்றாண்டின் ஆரம்பம் மிக மோசமாக தொடங்கியது. டெல்லியை ஆண்டு வந்த சுல்தான்கள், பெரும் செல்வசெழிப்போடு வாழ்ந்து வந்த தமிழகத்தை சூறையாட படை எடுத்த காலம் அது.  சுமார் அறுபது ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேலாக கோயிலும், கோயில் நிர்வாகமும் ஸ்தம்பித்த வரலாறும் ஸ்ரீ வைஷ்ணவத்தின் ஏடுகளில் ஓர் இருண்ட காலமாகும்.  இதனால் பாழ்பட்டு இருந்த இக்காலத்தில் பழைய பெருமைகள்  மீண்டும் ஒளிர, ஸ்ரீ வைஷ்ணவம் என்னும் ஆலமரம் தழைக்க ராமானுஜரின் மறு அவதாரமாக தோன்றினார் ஸ்ரீ மணவாள மாமுனிகள்

Sri  Manavala Mamunigal, the reincarnation of Adisesha, is fondly known as ‘Yatheendra Pravanar’ arising out of his irresistible attachment to the lotus feet of Sri Ramanujar [Yatheendrar].   He was born in Sikkil Kidaram in AD 1370.  At birth he was known as ‘Azhagiya Manavala Perumal Nayanaar’.  Later he was hailed in very many names such as ‘Yatheendra Pravanar’, Ramyajamathru, Saumyajamatru, Visada-Vak-Sikhamani,  Varayogi, Varavaramuni and more…..  He lived for 73 years on this earth performing many Kainkaryams  at Sri Rangam and undertook many pilgrimages to many  Sri Vaishnava Divyadesams spreading knowledge and bakthi culture.   His patent style was to elucidate the pramanams fully   ‘following the words of the Purvarcharyas without deviating a wee bit’.   He filled  his vyakhyana granthas with the words of purvAcharyas. 

At the foothills of most divine Thirumala lies Thirupathi – where the ancient temple of Sri Govindarajar is famous.  This temple was consecrated by our Emperumanar and is one of the earliest structures around which the tourist city of Tirupathi lies.  Here are some photos of Sri Govindaraja Swami temple and our Acaryar Swami Manavala Mamunigal sannathi.
