Sri Varadharajar Thiruther at Thiruvallikkeni and Kanchipuram

Can you imagine the place and the reason for this crowd.... it is at Thirukachi

Sri Devathi Rajar Brahmothsavam is grandly being conducted at Perumal Kovil (Thirukachi aka Kanchipuram).  Today 18^th May 2014 is the 7^th day  of the uthsavam.  Thiruther is a very important uthsavam and thousands would throng the temple in the early morning for having darshan of Sri Varadhar purappadu for ascending Thiruther.

At Thiruvallikkeni, purappadus are in the evening only and Sri Varadharajar had purappadu in siriya thiruther.  Here are some photos of the purappadu.  Also some photos of the Uthsavam at Kanchipuram,  glimpses of which will make one realise the magnitude of the uthsavam and the crowds that have gathered to have darshan of the Perumal.  Photos at Kanchipuram courtesy my friend Sri VN Kesavabashyam swamin.
