A bull by its horns !! @ Triplicane

 The idiom – ‘take the bull by the horns’    - means tackling a difficult situation by challenging it.    

It certainly is hard to take a raging bull by the horns, as it exposes people in front of the animal.  For ages, this idion means facing a fear or embarking on something  difficult or complicated.  The bull fighter including those in jallikattu try to control the bull by grasping its horns and pushing. 

Cows are supposedly meek animals  !!  In Triplicane cattle roam freely – and now a days they often disrupt chasing people primarily for some edible thing – be it greens, plantains  and the like.

 

Gajendra moksham Garuda sevai purappadu – a Cow, a person standing close to its horns and more people moving alongside.
