மனித சரித்திரத்தில் எவ்வளவோ துயர சம்பவங்கள் நடந்துள்ளன - கடுமையான பிணி, பஞ்சம், போர்கள், புயல்கள், வெள்ளங்கள், நில நடுக்கங்கள், கொடிய மிருகங்கள், பகை, தீ, இன்னமும் எவ்வளவோ காரணங்களால் மனித இனம் பேரழிவை சந்தித்துள்ளது ! - விசாதி, என்றால் என்ன தெரியுமா ? இந்த பெயர்ச்சொல்லின் அர்த்தம் தெரியுமா ?. இவ்வுலகத்தையே அச்சுறுத்தும் கொரோனா ஒரு தீ நுண்மி ! - இது போன்ற ஒரு தாக்குதலை உலகம் இப்போதுதான் முதல் முறையாக சந்திக்கிறதா ?
After months
of continuous lockdown, Sept 2020 is somewhat different .. Corona is not
contained yet, but it is a month of relaxations – Metro train is running and so
does city transport buses.
Transportation between Districts is on .. and .. fear of Covid exploding
and going out of control prevails !! India
recorded 96,424 new coronavirus infections on Sept 18, taking its cumulative
tally to 5.21 million. The country has been jolted by the highest single-day
caseload in the world since early August.
The fear is slowing becoming a possibility – that we may overtake the US
in the coming weeks as the country with most infections (not deaths). The disease has wrecked the global economy and triggered a
wave of mental health problems. Only activities
like schools, cinema halls and international flights remain shut now. Globally,
coronavirus cases have exceeded 30 million, including 1 million deaths, and the
pandemic is showing no signs of slowing.
So, the biggest
question on most people's minds is: when and how will this once-in-a-century
health crisis end? .. the most expected
and desired epilogue of course is medical ie., when there are vaccines or the
efficacy of the virus goes down so that there is no fresh spread – no more
patients, no longer deaths.
There could
also be a phase whence people are mentally exhausted and start accepting that
it cannot be done away with !! or when the Government which is fighting the
disease tooth and nail is forced to believe that they had done everything ..
.. The deadliest pandemic in modern
history, Spanish flu, caused 500 million infections in three waves that led to
50 million deaths around the world between 1918 and 1920. The flu virus evolved
into a far less deadly seasonal bug. Endemic, but manageable.

நுண்ணுயிர்தின்னி அல்லது நுண்ணுயிர் உண்ணி அல்லது பாக்டீரியா உண்ணி
அல்லது பாக்டீரியா விழுங்கி என்பது பாக்டீரியா மற்றும் ஆர்க்கீயா போன்றவற்றில் தொற்றுக்களை
ஏற்படுத்தி, அவற்றினுள்ளே பல்கிப்பெருகி, அவற்றைத் தாக்கும் தீநுண்மம் ஆகும். நோய் (வியாதி, பிணி) என்பது உயிரினங்களின் உடலிலோ,
மனதிலோ ஏற்படும் அசாதாரண நிலைகளைக் குறிக்கும். இதனை நலமற்ற நிலை, சீரழிந்த நிலை எனலாம்.
நோய் மனித வாழ்வின் நிலையான துன்பங்களில் ஒன்று. நோய் பொதுவாக அறிகுறிகள் (signs) மற்றும் உணர்குறிகளுடன் (symptoms)
தொடர்புடைய மருத்துவ நிலை எனலாம். நோயானது
உள்ளகக் காரணிகளாலும், வெளிக் காரணிகளாலும் தோற்றுவிக்கப்படலாம்.
விசாதி ஒன்றும் புதிதல்ல :
வியாதி, நோய். மனித உயிரைக் கொன்று உண்ணுகின்ற நோய் என்ன, பகை என்ன,
பசி என்ன, மற்றும் தீயனவாயுள்ளன எவை எவை உன்ளனவோ அவை எல்லாவற்றையும் இவ்வுலகத்தில்
விடாமல் நின்று போக்குவதற்காக, பக்தர்கள் என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும் ? இதோ இங்கே சுவாமி நம்மாழ்வாரின்
அற்புத பாசுரம்.:
கொன்றுயிர் உண்ணும் விசாதி பகைபசி தீயன வெல்லாம்,
நின்றிவ்வுலகில்
கடிவான் நேமிப்பிரான்தமர் போந்தார்,
நன்றிசை பாடியும் துள்ளியாடியும் ஞாலம் பரந்தார்,
சென்று தொழுதுய்ம்மின் தொண்டீர் சிந்தையைச் செந்நிறுத்தியே.
உயிர்களைக் கொன்று தின்கின்ற வியாதி, பகை, பசி, தீயவை அனைத்தையும் போக்குவதற்காக, சக்ராயுதம் ஏந்திய எம்பெருமானின் பக்தர்கள் வந்தார்கள், நல்ல இசையோடு அவன் புகழைப் பாடி, துள்ளி ஆடி, உலகெங்கும் செல்கிறார்கள், நல்ல மனம் கொண்ட பக்தர்களே ! , நீங்களும் சென்று அவனை வழிபடத் தொடங்குங்கள், மனத்தை நல்ல வழியில் செலுத்துங்கள், அதுவே நீங்கள் பிழைப்பதற்கான வழி. எம்பெருமான் ஒருவனே நம் அனைவரையும் காப்பாற்றிட வல்லன், என அறுதியிட்டு உரைக்கிறார் ஸ்வாமி நம்மாழ்வார்.
