The Ramcharitmanas, literally "Lake of the deeds
of Rama", is an epic poem in the
Awadhi language, composed by the 16th-century Indian poet-saint Tulsidas. It is
a retelling of the Sanskrit epic Ramayana by Valmiki and is considered one of
the greatest works of Hindu literature. Ramcharitmansa begins thus: -
"Shantam
Shasvatamaprameyamanaghanam nirvanashantipradam
brahmashambhuphaneendrasevyamanisham
vedantavedyam vibhum,
Ramakhayam jagadishvaram
suragurum mayamanusyamharim
vandeaham karunakaram raghuvaram
bhupalachunamanim."
I adore the Lord of the universe bearing the name of Rama, the
Chief of Raghu’s line and the crest-jewel of kings, the mine of compassion, the
dispeller of all sins, appearing in human form through His Maya (deluding
potency), the greatest of all gods, knowable through Vedanta (the
Upanishads),constantly worshiped by Brahma (the Creator), Sambhu (Lord Shiva)
and Sesha (the serpent-god), the bestower of supreme peace in the form of final
beatitude, placid, eternal, beyond the ordinary means of cognition, sinless and
all-pervading.(1)
This earth, in all its entirety and fullness has been under the
care of many successful kings starting from Prajāpati. This glorious ithihasa
purana known as Rāmāyaṇa emerged from the descendants of the dynasty of great king Ikshwāku.
The mighty King Dasaratha conducted yagna for begetting progeny. Six
seasons after completion of the Yajña, on the twelfth month after
completion, on the ninth day of the Caitra month, when the five planets were in
high position, Kousalyā gave birth to a son by name Rāma, who
would enhance the stature and reputation of the Ikshwāku dynasty, with
auspicious features, boding splendid fortunes, endowed with half as many
aspects, qualities and powers of Emperuman Sriman Narayana.
The
Ghaghara River, also known as the Karnali River is River Sarayu !! largest tributary of the Ganges by
volume and the second largest by length after Yamuna. Lower
Ghaghara is popularly known as Sarayu in India, especially while it flows
through the city of Ayodhya. Ayodhya, the
birthplace of Lord Rama, is situated on the banks of the river Sarayu.
The Sarayu river symbolizes spiritual merit, purification,
and liberation. After
centuries of dispute and court cases – now stands a very majestic temple at the
very place where Sree Ramapiran was born – the Rama Janmabhoomi. There is only one by name Sri Rama, born in the
lineage of Ikshwaku. He is totally balanced, one in complete control
of His words, thoughts and deeds; a man of great valour ~ a person of steadfast
character and radiant countenance – Lord Sree Rama
On that glorious
auspicious day - 22.1.2024 – the Nation rejoiced the Prana pratishta of Sri Rama in the
architecturally ornate beautiful Temple at His Janmasthan. The most sacred ceremony, marking the consecration of the deity
within the temple, was a historic event that carried profound cultural and
symbolic importance. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji presides over the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, officiated
by a team of priests led by Lakshmikant Dixit.
Today 25.11.2025 is another remarkably significant
day – conclusion of the wait of centuries, in between betrayal of some parties
for few decades the Temple now stands majestic and today DHARMA DHWAJ adorns the spire of the
beautiful ornate Mandir at Ayodhya - a symbol of unity, culture &
civilizational resurgence. Ayodhya is glowing. Bharat is proud. Jai
Shri Ram! the saffron flag flies high on
the grand temple. This is the victory of every devotee
Historic 'Dhwajarohan' At Ayodhya Ram Mandir happened today. Honble PM Shri Narendra Modiji hoisted the flag marking the completion of Temple's Construction. Dharma Dhwaj, measuring 10 feet in height & 20 feet in length, bears image of radiant S un symbolizing brilliance & valour of Prabhu Shri Ram, with ‘Om’ inscribed on it along with image of. The ceremony is being held on auspicious Panchami of Shukla Paksha in Margashirsha month, coinciding with Abhijit Muhurat of Lord Ram and Maa Sita's Vivah-Panchami.
From
today a very majestic ceremonial flag is fluttering on the spire of the sacred Ram Mandir symbolising the completion of the temple's
construction. The auspicious time for
the flag hoisting was between 11:58 AM
and 12:30 PM, and dignitaries including Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben
Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief
Mohan Bhagwat and others were inside the
temple complex. The Dhwajarohan at Ram
Janmbhoomi Temple ushers in a new
chapter of cultural celebration and national unity, said a statement issued by
the Prime Minister's office.
The
specially designed right-angled triangular flag, measuring 10 feet in height
and 22 feet in length, has been crafted by a parachute specialist from
Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It weighs between two and three kilograms and has been
engineered to suit the 161-foot-high temple summit and the 42-foot flagpole. It
bears the image of a radiant Sun symbolising the brilliance and valour of
Bhagwan Shri Ram, with an 'Om' inscribed on it along with image of Kovidara
tree. The sacred saffron flag will convey a message of dignity, unity, and
cultural continuity, embodying the ideals of Ram Rajya.
The flag
will rise atop a Shikhar constructed in the traditional North Indian Nagara
architectural style, while the surrounding 800-metre Parkota, a
circumambulatory enclosure built around the temple, designed in the South
Indian architectural tradition, showcases the temple's architectural diversity,
the PMO mentioned. The temple complex features 87 intricately carved stone
episodes from the life of Bhagwan Shri Ram based on the Valmiki Ramayana on the
outer walls of the main temple, and 79 bronze-cast episodes from Indian culture
placed along the enclosure walls. Together, these elements provide a meaningful
and educational experience to all visitors, offering deep insight into Lord
Ram's life and the cultural heritage of India.
Jai Shree Ram.
