Thiruvallikkeni Andal bangles !! - 'கோல்வளை'

திருக்கருப்பறியலூர் எனும் ஊரை கேள்விப்பட்டு உள்ளீர்களா ?  இது சிவபெருமானின்  தேவாரப்பாடல் பெற்ற சிவலாலயங்களில் ஒன்றானதாம்.

 

சில ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு வரை கிராமங்களில் திருவிழா என்றவுடன் ராட்டினம், பச்சை குத்துபவர்கள், வளையல் வண்டிக்கார்கள், பலூன் விற்பவர்கள் எனக் கிராமமே களைகட்டும்.  பல பழைய படங்களில், வளையல் விற்பவர்கள் கதாபாத்திரமாக வருவது நினைவு இருக்கலாம். வாழ்க்கை மாறிவிட்டது.

இது சிறப்பான ஆடி மாதம்.  ஆடிப்பூரத்தில் அம்பாளுக்கு வளையல் சார்த்துவதும், வளையல் காணிக்கை, வளையல் மாலை அணிவிப்பதும் பக்தர்களின் நீண்ட கால நம்பிக்கை.  ஸ்ரீவைணவ திருக்கோவில்களில் கூட,  ஆண்டாளுக்கு திருவாடிப்பூரத்தன்று பக்தர்கள் வளையல்களை காணிக்கையாக அளிப்பர்.

 

Firozabad in UttarPradesh has earned the name ‘Suhag Nagari’ which means the city of married women,  where the married women wear bangles as a symbol of prosperity. Laad Bazaar or Choodi Bazaar in Hyderabad is famous for varieties of  pearl bangles.  Laad Bazaar is the centuries- bangles market near Charminar in Hyderabad, which has inspired photographers and poets.   Moradabad city in India is the largest producer of bangles.  Nakkavanipalem, a tiny village near Narsipatnam was once a place where skilled bangle workers were in existence.  

 

Gold bangles have adorned and ornamented women’s dainty wrists since ages. This is a symbol of status, prosperity, and wealth. Wrists vary in size, thickness, texture, strength, and symbolize kindness as well as for gallantry. Wrists must be decorated with jewels not because they help establish the human connection! More so because they are status symbols.  Diamond Bangles also sell well !  the Jewellers cash more in experimentation with so called newer designs, patterns, styling, engraving and more !   - some would prefer  very delicate thin gold bangles while some would insist them being solid and weighing more !

ஆண்டாள் நாச்சியார் திருமொழி பாசுரத்தில் ஒரு சொல் 'கோல்வளை' - இது  பெயர்ச்சொல் - ஒரு வளையல்வகை.  வளையல்   என்பது இரண்டு கைகளிலும் மணிக்கட்டில் அணியும் ஒரு அணிகலனாகும். பொதுவாக வட்ட வடிவமானது. ஆனால் வளையக் கூடியதல்ல. இது ஒரு இந்தியப் பாரம்பரிய ஆபரணமாகும். தங்கம், அலுமினியம், பிளாட்டினம், கண்ணாடி,  எனப் பலதரப்பட்ட பொருட்களால் உருவாக்கப்படுகின்றன. 

கோல்வளை பற்றி தேடியபோது படித்தது ஒரு தேவாரப் பாசுரம்.   திருநாவுக்கரசர் தேவாரம் நான்காம் திருமறையில் -  திருவதிகை வீரட்டானம் பற்றி பாடும் போது – 

நீறு கொப்பளித்த மார்பர் நிழறிகழ் மழுவொன்றேந்திக்

கூறு கொப்பளித்த கோதைக் கோல்வளை மாதோர் பாகம்

ஏறு கொப்பளித்த பாதமிமையவர் பரவியேத்த

ஆறு கொப்பளித்த சென்னியதிகை  வீரட்டனாரே. 

திருநீறு பரந்து விளங்கும் மார்பினராய், ஒளி விளங்கும் மழுப்படையைக் கையில் ஏந்தி, எல்லோரும் புகழும் மாலையும் திரண்டவளைகளும் அணிந்து ஒரு பாகத்தை விளக்கும் பார்வதி சமேதராய், காளையைத் தழும்பேற வைத்த தம் திருவடிகளைத் தேவர்கள் துதிக்குமாறு கங்கை நதி பெருகித்தங்கியிருக்கும் செஞ்சடையை உடையவராய் காட்சி வழங்குகிறார் அதிகை வீரட்டனார் என பாடியுள்ளார். 

திருக்கருப்பறியலூர்  தற்போது தலைஞாயிறு என அறியப்படுகிறது.  இங்கு இறைவன் :   குற்றம் பொறுத்த நாதர்.  இறைவியார்  கோல்வளை நாயகி.  இந்த தலம் வைத்தீசுவரன்கோயில் இரயில் நிலையத்திலிருந்து வடமேற்கே 8-கி.மீ தூரத்தில் உள்ளது. மயிலாடுதுறை, வைதீஸ்வரன்கோயில் ஆகிய இடங்களிலிருந்து தலைஞாயிறு   செல்ல பேருந்து வசதி உள்ளது.  தருமபுர ஆதீனத்தின் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் உள்ள இவ்வாலயம், கிழக்கு நோக்கிய மூன்று நிலை ராஜகோபுரத்துடன் அமைந்துள்ளது. உள்மண்டபம் வெளவால் நெத்தி மண்டப அமைப்பில் காணப்படுகிறது.  “கற்றவன் இருப்பது கருப்பறியலூரே” என்று ஞானசம்பந்தரும், “கற்றோர்தம் இடர்தீர்க்கும் கருப்பறியலூர்” என்று சுந்தரரும் இத்தலத்து இறைவனைப் போற்றிப்பாடியுள்ளார்கள்.

 

22.7.2023  is Thiruvadipuram [Puram Nakshathiram in the month of Aadi] –    the  most blessed day for all Srivaishnavaites –  marking  the birth of Kothai Piratti [Andal].  In the ongoing Thiruvadipura Uthsavam- 21.7.2023 being day 9 – it was siriya thiruther for Sri Andal.  Here are some photos of Andal purappadu to thiruther and Andal wearing beautiful bangles.
