signage - Thiruvallikkeni Sri Parthasarathi swami Thirukkovil

 Signage is intended to provide right info on important places !  .. .. 

Triplicane  (Thiruvallikkeni) existed far earlier to Madras.  Its history is linked to Thiruvallikkeni divyadesam of Sri Parthasarathi Emperuman and derives its name from the temple tank Kairavini pushkarini that had lily flowers in abundance (allikkeni) 

This signage has been in place for couple of years now – erected nearer the Eastern arch on Beach road, showing the way to iconic Sri Parthasarathi temple . .. 

.. .. and the photo inset is not that of Sri Parthasarathi temple but that of Sri Kapaleeswarar of MYlapore. 

Simply ignorant or abject callousness in not caring to put up the right photo ! – when will the authorities correct this ?  Shambolic !! 

The first two are photos of signage and the last one is the majestic divine gopuram of Sri Parthasarathi temple of Thiruvallikkeni
