வண் துவராபதி மன்னன் வாசுதேவன் வலையுளே !!

A bean is the seed of one of several genera of the flowering plant family Fabaceae, which are used as vegetables for human or animal food.  They can be cooked in many different ways, including boiling, frying, and baking, and are used in many traditional dishes throughout the world. Beans are among the most versatile and commonly eaten foods throughout the world, and many varieties are grown  around the globe. Beans are a great source of fibre.  That's important because most people don't get the recommended 25 to 38 grams each day. Fiber helps keep you regular and seems to protect against heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and digestive illness.

Vicia faba, also known in the culinary sense as the broad bean, fava bean, or faba bean, [அவரைக்காய்] is a species of vetch as a flowering plant in the pea and bean family Fabaceae. It is widely cultivated as a crop for human consumption, and also as a cover crop.  Strange are the ways of people as Police in Manchester, UK  have issued a warning to shops over a concerning new viral trend involving baked beans. Shops have been urged to look out for children buying large quantities of the tinned goods, while parents are being encouraged to check their cupboards. It comes after 'beaning', a bizarre new trend, took off on social video sharing app TikTok, the Mirror reports. 'Beaning' involves children smearing baked beans onto people's driveways, doors and cars - and, of course, filming it. Numerous videos have been posted on social media with the hashtag #beanbanditz.

The messy craze, which is also potentially harmful to dogs, has prompted West Yorkshire Police to issue a warning to retailers and parents. It dates back to at least April, when a TikTok account called The Bean Bandits posted a video that showed people pouring multiple tins of Goya beans on a doorstep. In on-screen text, the account wrote, "We beaned someones [sic] front door." The last frame of the clip showed a doorstep and doormat that was covered in an avalanche of red, yellow, and orange beans, with what looked like potato-sized brown beans stacked on top. The TikTok, which used YoSmooky and Chino_G's bean-themed rap song "Beans" as its audio, garnered over 200,000 likes and has been viewed over a million times !!

காய்கறிகள் !!

அத்திக்காய்,  காய்,  காய் ஆலங்காய் வெண்ணிலவே  -  என்ற கவியரசு கண்ணதாசன் பாடலை கேட்டு இருப்பீர்கள்.  நான் அதிகம் சினிமா பார்ப்பதில்லை ! - ஒட்டன் சத்திரம் காய்கறி மார்க்கெட்டுக்கு வேனில் காய்கறி ஏற்றிவரும் வேலை செய்யும் நாயகன் !  - மற்றோரு படத்திலும் இந்த ஒட்டன் சத்திரம்  - தமிழ் நாட்டில் ஒவ்வொரு ஊரிலும், ஒவ்வொரு கிராமத்திலும் நிச்சயமாக ' காய்கறிகள் மார்க்கெட்'' இருக்கும்.   பக்கிங்ஹாம் கால்வாய் கரையில் சில பத்து வருஷங்கள் முன்பு வரை, தண்ணித்துறை காய்கறி மார்க்கெட் இருந்தது.  திருவல்லிக்கேணியில் கங்கைகொண்டான் மண்டபத்துக்கு அருகில் உள்ள 'கங்கனா மார்க்கெட்' பிரசித்தம்.  முன்பெல்லாம் கல்யாணம் போன்ற விசேஷங்களுக்கு 'கொத்தவால் சாவடி' சென்று மூட்டை மூட்டையாக காய்கறிகள் வாங்கி வருவார்கள்.

தமிழ் ஒரு அழகிய மொழி .. ஆழ்ந்த அர்த்தங்கள் கொண்டது. காளமேகப் புலவர்  என்பவர் ஒரு சிறப்பான சிலேடைகள் வடித்த புலவர்.  இவர் ஒரு ஆசு கவி ஆவார்.  காய் என்கிற சொல்லை அடுக்கடுக்காய்வைத்து பல்வேறு காய்களைச் சுட்டிக்காட்டி தன் அத்தை மகள் சமைத்த சமையலைப் பாடும் காளமேகப் புலவரின் பாடல் ஒன்று.: 

‘கரிக்காய் பொரித்தாள்  கன்னிக்காயை தீர்த்தாள் !

பரிக்காயைப் பச்சடியாய்ப் பண்ணாள் !!

’என்று காய் அடுக்கு நான்கு முறை கூறப்பட்டு நயமுற அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.  கரி என்றால் யானை. அதாவது அப்பெண் யானையைப் பொரியல் செய்தாள்? யானைப் பொரியலா? அது எப்படி என்று யோசிக்க கூடாது !!  கரி என்றால் யானை; அதேபோல் யானைக்கு அத்தி என்று வேறுஒரு பெயரும் உண்டு. இங்கு அத்திக்காய்ப் பொரியல் என்பதையே கரிக்காய்ப் பொரியல் என்று புலவர் கூறியிருக்கிறார்.  கன்னி என்றால் திருமணம் ஆகாதப் பெண்.   கன்னி என்றால் வாழைக்காய் என்று மற்றும் ஒரு பொருள் உள்ளது. அதாவது வாழைக்காய் வறுவல் என்பதையே கன்னிக்காயைத் தீய்த்தாள் என்பதாக புலவர் கூறியிருக்கிறார்.  

கொடியாக படர்ந்து காய்களை தரும் வகைக “அவரைக்காய்”. நார்ச்சத்து அதிகம் உள்ள அவரைக்காய்களை அவ்வப்போது சாப்பிட்டு வருவது செரிமான உறுப்புகளின் நலத்தை மேம்படுத்தும்.  சமீபத்தில் முகநூலில் நான் ஒரு அவரைக்காய் மற்றும் அதனருகே உள்ள வண்டையும் படமெடுத்து பதிவு இட்டு இருந்தேன்.  பொது அவரை (Phaseolus vulgaris) அல்லது இயல்பு அவரை (common bean) அல்லது பச்சை அவரை, பிரெஞ்சு அவரை, என்றெல்லாம் அழைக்கப்படும் அவரைக்காய்  என்பது உலகமெங்கும் பயிரிடும் கொடிவகைப் பயிராகும். அவரைக் கொட்டையை முதிராத பச்சைக் காயாகவும் முதிர்விதையை நன்கு உலர்த்தியும் பயன்படுத்துகின்றனர்.  நாட்டுக் காய்கறிகளில் ஒன்றான அவரைக்காயில் இருவகைகள் உள்ளன. ஒன்று செடியில் காய்ப்பது (குற்று அவரை) இந்த ரகத்தை ஆண்டு முழுவதும் (120 நாள்கள்) பயிரிடலாம். இரண்டாவது கொடியில் காய்ப்பது (பந்தல் அவரை)  இந்த ரகத்தை ஜூலை மற்றும் ஆகஸ்ட் மாதங்களில் (240 நாட்கள்) சாகுபடி செய்யலாம். நல்ல வடிகால் வசதியுள்ள வண்டல் மண் அவரை சாகுபடிக்கு ஏற்றது.   அவரைக்காய்க்கு நிறைய மருத்துவ குணங்கள் உள்ளன. செரிமானத்துக்கு மிக நல்லது என பரிந்துரைக்கப்படுகிறது. 

நம் போன்ற சாப்பாட்டு ராமன்கள் எந்த காய்கறியையுமே நன்றாக வதக்கி உப்பு காரத்துடன் எப்படி புசிப்பது என யோசிப்போம்.  திரு ஸ்ரீநிதி அக்காரக்கனி ஸ்வாமிக்கோ இந்த பதிவு கூட எம்பெருமான் ஸ்ரீமன் நாரணனையே ஞாபகப்படுத்துகிறது !  - இதோ அவர் தம் அற்புத சிலேடை:

வண் துவராபதி (சம்பகாரண்யம்- மன்னார்குடி ) என்கிற திருத்தலம், 'வண்டு வரா பதி' - அதாவது வண்டுகள் நுழைந்திடாத ப(கு}தி என்று வருணிக்கப்படுவதை யாவரும் அறிந்துள்ளோம்.

அது வண்டுவரை ( வண் துவரை ) இங்கு நாங்கள் காண்பதோ வண்டு(அ)வரை ! 

துவரையில் ( மன்னார்குடி ) நுழைந்திடாத குறை தீர அவரையில் நுழைந்ததோ அவ் வண்டு !

துவரை மாயன் திரௌபதியின் சரியாத மானத்திற்குக் காப்பு !

( சரியாத = கீழே வீழ்ந்திடாத; தொலைந்திடாத ) ..

சுருக்கமாகச் சொல் என்பீர்களாயின்;

சரி ! மானத்திற்கு துவரை மாயன் பொறுப்பு

செரிமானத்திற்கு இந்த அவரைக் காயன் ( காய் ) பொறுப்பு !

அவரை(ப்) போற்றுதும் !

PS : Mr. Bean is a well-meaning yet clumsy and destructive security guard working at the National Gallery in London. The gallery's board of directors, who despise Bean for sleeping on the job, wish to fire him but are thwarted by their chairman. They instead select Bean as their representative for the transfer of James McNeill Whistler's 1871 portrait Arrangement in Grey and Black No.1 (also called Whistler's Mother) to the Grierson Art Gallery in Los Angeles once purchased by philanthropist General Newton for $50 million.  .. .. that is the plot of “Bean” (The Ultimate Disaster Movie or Bean: The Movie) a  comedy film based on the British television series released in 1997.  Directed by Mel Smith and written by Robin Driscoll and Richard Curtis (both writers for the TV series), the film starred Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean !!
