தெரியும் ! .. .. நாகு என்றால் என்ன தெரியுமா
?
ஆவினம்,
ஆநிரை பசுக்கள். . கண்ணன் ஆநிரை மேய்த்தவன் பசுக்களை வைத்திருப்பதே செல்வம் என்று நினைத்த
மக்கள் வாழ்ந்த நாடு இது. வேத காலத்தில் இருந்து பசுக்களை மிக உயர்வாக கருதப்பட்டன. பெரும் போரில் கூட ஆவினங்களுக்கு எந்த ஆபத்தும்
இல்லாமல் போர் புரிதல் மரபு. ஆநிரை கவரும் போது அப்பசுக்களுக்கி முறையாக உணவளித்து
நன்கு பராமரிப்பர். ஆநிரை கவர்வோர் வெட்சிப்
பூமாலை சூடியிருப்பர். ஆநிரை மீட்போர் கரந்தைப் பூ மாலை சூடியிருப்பர். நாகு என்ற
பெயர்ச்சொல்லுக்கு பல அர்த்தங்கள் உள்ளன. அவையாவன
: இளமை; பெண்மை; எருமை; நத்தை; பசுவின் பெண்கன்று; கிடாரிக் கன்று;
பெண் மீன்; சங்கு; மரக்கன்று; புற்று; மலை.
திருமங்கைமன்னனின் பாசுரத்தில் கறவா மடநாகு எனுமிடத்திலே பால் கறக்காத பசுமாடு.
Bos taurus (European cattle) descended from the Auroch
that lived in Northern Europe. They were domesticated as long ago as the
Neolithic age and have been kept as livestock ever since for their meat, milk
and hides. Dairy farming has been part of agriculture for thousands of years.
Dairy cows are bred specifically to produce large quantities of milk. Dairy
cows are required to give birth to one calf annually in order to produce milk
for 10 months of the year. They are usually artificially inseminated within
three months of giving birth. Dairy cows can often only produce very high milk
yields for an average of 3 years, after which they are slaughtered !
There are over 270 million cows producing milk across the
world. The European Union is the largest milk producer and has about 23 million
dairy cows. This compares with 10 million in North America and over 6 million
in Australia and New Zealand. Milk production is also on the increase in
South-East Asia, including countries not traditionally noted for their milk consumption,
such as China, which now has over 12 million cows producing milk. India
traditionally has millions of cows ~ there were cows in cities and Chennai was
no different. At Thiruvallikkeni
divyadesam, there are many stray cows that are left to loiter on roads, not
being treated properly.
Cruel still, four persons who were involved in shooting a young
cow to death and injuring a female buffalo in Dammagudem reserve forest in
Vikarabad district were arrested by the police on Sunday. According to the
police, the accused were out hunting when they mistook the cow for a deer and
shot it. The arrested are Mohd
Azharuddin, Shaik Mahboob, R Ramchander and Mohd Rafi, while the main accused
Imran is still absconding. Police also recovered one rifle, nine live rounds of
ammunition and other material from the accused.
Police said that Imran, a realtor from Dabeerpura, owned
a farmhouse at Timmalapur village, located close to the forest area in Dammagudem.
He had a habit of hunting animals. The
group conducted a recce on bike and later ventured into forest area in SUV for
hunting. After a while, they noticed two animals move in the forest area.
Thinking it was a deer, Azharuddin shot it. However, on seeing the bodies, they
realised that it was a cow. They were nabbed and produced before the court.

நித்யவாஸம் பண்ணுகிற ஸ்வாமிந்!, பால்சுரவாத
இளம்பசுவை அதுதன் கன்றானது நினைத்துக் கத்துமாபோலே, அடியேன்
ஓயாமல் உன்னையே அழைக்கின்றேன். எந்தை
பிரானே, நறையூர் நம்பியே ! - எங்களுக்கு தந்தையானவனே
! என்னை இனி ஸம்ஸாரத்தில் பிறவாதபடி அருள வேணும்.
பால் சுரவாத நாகின் கன்று அதனையே நினைத்து கதறுமா போலே ஆழ்வார் எம்பெருமானையே நினைத்து ஏங்குகிறார்.

.. as Azhwar yearned, we too are longing to have His darshan. The country appears to be clawing back from
Corona effect and lockdown is easing on many fronts – WE pray that Emperuman
purappadu too occurs sooner and we are all able to worship Him in the manner
that we used to.
