It may be
difficult to answer a hypothetical Q – which is most important – Education,
Wealth, Knowledge or mere life ? .. ever
heard of ‘Epistemology’ ?
Change is
permanent ! .. .. knowledge will always
keep us in good stead and with knowledge one can earn lot of things including
wealth !! Study of the social
dimensions of scientific knowledge encompasses the effects of scientific
research on human life and social relations, the effects of social relations
and values on scientific research, and the social aspects of inquiry itself. Science can be thought of as both a body of
knowledge (the things we have already discovered), and the process of acquiring
new knowledge (through observation and experimentation—testing and
hypothesising).
The moon is the easiest celestial object to find in the night sky — when it's there. Earth's only natural satellite hovers above us bright and round until it seemingly disappears for a few nights. The rhythm of the moon's phases has guided humanity for millennia — for instance, calendar months are roughly equal to the time it takes to go from one full moon to the next. Earth has just one moon – a rocky, cratered place, roughly a quarter the size of Earth and an average of 238,855 miles away. The Moon can be seen with the naked eye most nights as it traces its 27-day orbit around our planet. .. mankind knows lot about moon and researches have provided newer insights ! - does mankind knows enough ?? Earth's Moon is the fifth largest of the 190+ moons orbiting planets in our solar system.

Earth's Moon is the only
place beyond Earth where humans have set foot.
On July 20, 1969, the Apollo 11 crew successfully completed the national
goal set by President John F. Kennedy eight years prior: to perform a crewed
lunar landing and return to Earth. That
landing and various explorations have given lot of scientific knowledge of
man. Many missions have gone to the
Moon before but none of them have recorded daily data that could help
scientists determine how much radiation an astronaut on the Moon might be
exposed to during a long-term stay. In their new study, the Chinese-German team
reports dose-rate measurements “with previously unseen accuracy from the
surface of the Moon”. And the results aren’t good news. They found that
radiation levels on the Moon’s surface are 200- to 1,000-times more than that
on Earth’s surface – and 2.6-times more than what astronauts onboard the
International Space Station (ISS) are exposed to.
Moving away
from the ever changing Science, whence something firmly believed as fact, can
change to become a thing of the past and a wrong notion, our desire is to
achieve salvation and for that process is simple. Uproot all thoughts of ‘You and yours’ –
merge totally with Lord and there can be no greater fulfillment.
Puranas have taught us again and again. The birth of the asura twins Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakasipu to Diti at Pradosha Kala is accompanied by evil portents, says the Bhagavata Purana. At that time itself, Sage Kashyapa forebade this as indicative of their asura nature and of their enmity to the Lord. He consoles Diti that her sons would be fortunate to die at the hands of the Lord. Together these twins exemplify ahamkara and mamakara, the sense of ‘I’ and ‘Mine,’ the typical asura nature, that is the root cause of all troubles. Ahamkara and mamakara go hand in hand and cannot be separated and stand as an obstacle to salvation. The sense of I and Mine has to be nipped in the bud, lest it should grow into mammoth proportions. The desire to possess first arises, and this breeds the consciousness of ownership. Desire feeds on itself and multiplies at great speed and strength. Both Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakasipu are driven by the desire for unrestrained ownership and possession of objects, places and people. Hiranyaksha covets the whole world and brags about his prowess. He thinks there is none who is worthy to oppose him and hides the earth in the ocean. The Lord incarnates as Yagna Varaha and rescues and places the earth on the sun’s orbit.

மதிக்காமை, டம்பம், இறுமாப்பு, கர்வம், சினம், கடுமை, அஞ்ஞானம் இவை அசுர சம்பத்தை எய்தியவனிடம்
காணப்படுகின்றன; எளிதாக சொல்ல நாம் துறக்க
வேண்டியவை : " அஹங்காரம் மமகாரம்"
.. பொருட்களின் மீதும், அழிவது மீதும், மனிதர்கள் மீதும் உள்ள ஆசையை துறந்தால், அஹங்காரம்
மமகாரம் நீங்கும். அவை நீங்கினால் தேஹ அபிமானம்
நீங்கும். தேஹ அபிமானம் நீங்கினால் ஆத்ம ஞானம் பிறக்கும். எம்பெருமானுக்கு அடிமையாகும் ஜீவன் , எம்பெருமான்
ஒருவனை மட்டுமே சரணமடைவான். செருக்கும் மயக்கமு
மற்றோர், சார்புக் குற்றங்களை யெல்லாம் வென்றோர், ஆத்ம ஞானத்தில் நாசமற்ற பதத்தை எய்துகின்றனர். இதோ இங்கே ஸ்வாமி
நம்மாழ்வாரின் அற்புத திருவாய்மொழி பாசுரம் :
நீர்நுமது என்றிவை, வேர்முதல் மாய்த்து இறை
சேர்மின் உயிர்க்கு அதனேர் நிறையில்லே.
நீர்
நுமது என்ற இவை (அஹங்கார மமகாரங்களாகிற இவற்றை)
ருசி வாஸநைகளாகிற பக்க வேரோடே முதலறுத்து எம்பெருமானாகிய
ஸ்வாமியை அடையுங்கள்; ஆத்மாவுக்கு அதனோடு ஒத்த பூர்த்தி இல்லை.
Epistemology or theory of knowledge is the branch of Western philosophy that studies the nature and scope of knowledge. Much of the debate in this field has focused on analyzing the nature of knowledge and how it relates to similar notions such as truth, belief, and justification. It also deals with the means of production of knowledge, as well as skepticism about different knowledge claims. In other words, epistemology primarily addresses the following questions: "What is knowledge?", "How is knowledge acquired?", and "What do people know?".
