Irapathu Sarrumurai -  Day 10 at Thiruvalikkeni.

After Vaikunda Ekadasi, the Irapathu Uthsavam culminates with Sarrumurai – the 10^thday of the Uthsavam.  The Irapathu Uthsavam is performed for Swami Nammalwar and the 10^th day is very significant for the “Thiruvadi Thozhuthal”.  Today, 10^th Jan 2015 marks the culmination of Irapathu Uthsavam.

On all the days of Irapathu there was purappadu in the evening – and it is Swami Manavala Mamunigal’s ‘Upadesa Rathinamalai’ in the  goshti… Today,  Swami Nammazhwar could be worshipped in his Thirumeni without kavacham.  After Thiruveedhi purappadu,  inside the Temple in the famed ‘Thiruvadi Thozhal; Swami Nammazhwar’s entry  of Mokshapuri after a great life on this earth   – as he himself sung ‘வைகுந்தம் புகுவது மண்ணவர்   விதியே’ [vaikuntham puguvathu mannavar vithiye’] would be enacted. 

Here are two photos of Swami Nammalwar.  In the  one above Nammazwar is wearing kavacham; the 2^nd one below  taken during the 10^th day purappadu, one can have darshan of his Thirumeni without kavacham and a single Thiruthuzhai maalai. 

…and one cannot miss the Sublime beauty of Sri Parthasarathi oozing exceptional kindness in delicately made floral arrangement including the decorative crown made of choicest flowers and the dazzling ornamanents.  Blessed are those who could have darshan of Him in any form.
