Thiruvallikkeni Udayavar Uthsavam - day 4 - 2014 - Hamsa vahanam

At Thiruvallikkeni divyadesam, the grand Uthsavam of our Greatest Acharyar – Sri Ramanujar is on and today  27^th Apr 2014  is  day 3 of the  Uthsavam.

In the morning Sri Ramanujar had purappadu in pallakku and in the evening it was the Hamsam ~ representing deep wisdom and knowledge of our Acharyar.  For a Srivaishnavaite – falling at the feet of Acharyan, doing service to Acharyar and to all those Srivaishnavaites is the greatest virtue.  In the words of Thiruvarangathu Amuthanar in his ‘Iramanuja Noorranthathi”

செய்யும் பசுந்துளவத் தொழில் மாலையும் செந்தமிழில்*

பெய்யும் மறைத்தமிழ் மாலையும் பேராத சீரரங்கத்து*

ஐயன் கழற்கணியும் பரன் தாளன்றி  ஆதரியா*

மெய்யன் இராமானுசன் சரணே கதி வேறு எனக்கே*

அரங்கனுக்கு தொண்டு செய்வதை மட்டுமே உகப்பாய் கருதியவர் தொண்டரடிப்பொடிகள்;  அனைத்து  கல்யாண குணங்களுக்கும் அதிபதியான நம்பெருமாளின்  திருவடித்தாமரைகளை பசுமை தங்கிய திருத்துழாய், மணமுடைய பூமாலைகள், அழகிய தமிழில் தொகுக்கப்பட்ட திருமாலை எனும் திவ்யப்ரபந்தம் இவற்றால் அலங்கரித்து, அரங்கனுக்கு  அன்றி வேறு எவரையும் தொழேன் என்று  இருந்தவர்.

அத்தகைய சிறப்பு மிக்க தொண்டரடிப் பொடிகளின் திருவடிகளை தவிர வேறு எதுவும் விரும்பாத  சத்யசீலரான  எம்பெருமானார் உடைய திருவடிகளே அடியேனுக்கு விசேஷமான ப்ராப்ய வஸ்து என்கிறார் 'அமுதனார்"  - இவ்வாறு சிறப்பு மிக்க'உடையவரின்  திருவடி தாள்களே நமக்கு உய்ய ஒரே வழி"
