Sri
Azhagiya Singar Brahmothsavam at Thiruvallikkeni – Day 3 – Evening
On the
evening of the 3rd day of Sri Azhagiya Singar Brahmothsavam at
Thiruvallikkeni, i.e., Sat 30th
June 2012, it was ‘Hamsa vahanam’. Lord
Thelliya Singar had purappadu on the legendary bird – Annam, which is capable
of separating milk from water.
It was
cloudy and rained a few drops – the periya maada veedhi purappadu was complete in rapid speed – then with
too many vehicles parked around the temple tank, it was not possible for ‘vahana
purappadu’ especially Hamsa vahanam
weighing more than the others.
So Perumal reached vahana
mandapam and had purappadu in thottil. Nearer
Kulakkarai Anjaneyar sannidhi, it rained and Perumal was duly covered with
cheelai [blanket]
Here are
some photos taken during the purappadu on day 3 evening
Adiyen –
Srinivasa dhasan.
