At Thiruvallikkeni divyadesam, we were fortunate to attend arulicheyal goshti on the occasion of Sri Parthasarathi thirukkovil adhyapakar – reverred Sri U. Ve. Thirumalai Ananthanpillai Kavanur Srinivasa Raghavan Swami completing 90.  

Swami completes 90 on Aippaisi 18 (Sat 4^th Nov 2023) being grandly celebrated by his thirukumarargal : Sri UVe TA Bakthisaran, Govindachari, Sampathkumar & Prasanna at Yadugiri Yathiraja Mutt Triplicane with Naalaiyira divyaprabantha sevakalam.

Aippaisi Pournami 2023 - Lunar Eclipse !!

Bright shining beautiful moon is visible now as today is Pournami – in a few hours there is to be Lunar Eclipse .. .. there could well be  a few people who jump to comment on all beliefs as ‘superstitious nonsense’ – but when the Western World reports, most of them would readily  accept all such theories !! 

நிலா அது வானத்தின் மேலே என்று அழகாக தெரிவது சந்திரன்.  நிலா,  நிலவு, அம்புலி, திங்கள், மதி, சந்திரன்- என பல பெயர்களில் அழைக்கப்படுவது  புவியின் ஒரேயொரு நிரந்தரமான இயற்கைத் துணைக்கோள். "நிலா' என்பதற்கான பொருள் "ஒளி' என்பதாகும் (நிலா-ஒளி) என்று உ.வே.சாமிநாதையர் தெளிவுபடக் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார். சிலப்பதிகாரம் காதையில் , "அங்கண் வானத்து அணிநிலா விரிக்கும்; திங்களஞ் செல்வன்' என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.  இடமகன்ற அழகிய வானில் குளிர்ச்சி பொருந்திய நிலவை (ஒளியை) பரவச் செய்யும் திங்களாகிய (சந்திரன்) செல்வன் என்பது இதன் பொருள்; சந்திரனால் பரவச் செய்யப்படும் ஒளியே "நிலா'.  இன்று பௌர்ணமி - சந்திர க்ரஹணமும் கூட. 

A century ago, in Feb 1919 -  two teams of astronomers from the Greenwich and Cambridge observatories set out for Sobral, Brazil, and Príncipe (an island off the coast of Africa), respectively, with sophisticated equipment that would allow them to photograph – a celestial phenomenon. !!  - Imagine what ? 

Chandran, Nilavu, Ambuli, Moon has enamoured mankind for ages.  The Moon (or Luna) is the Earth’s only natural satellite – considered to have been  formed 4.6 billion years ago around some 30–50 million years after the formation of the solar system. The Moon is in synchronous rotation with Earth meaning the same side is always facing the Earth.  In reality both sides of the Moon see the same amount of sunlight however only one face of the Moon is ever seen from Earth. This is because the Moon rotates around on its own axis in exactly the same time it takes to orbit the Earth, meaning the same side is always facing the Earth. 

Celestial phenomenons have found mentioned in our Ithihasa puranas ~ during Mahabaratha war there were two of them .. ..  perhaps the interim period when we could not have darshan of Emperuman are to be seen as eclipse or occultations.   The fourteenth day of the Mahabharata war was a crucial one for both sides. On the evening of the thirteenth day, Arjuna, devastated by the death of his young son, Abhimanyu, had vowed that he would kill Jayadratha  - by divine interference, Bhagwan Sree Krishna briefly shadows the Sun enabling Arjuna to complete his vow.    

The Sun always illuminates half of the Moon while the other half remains dark, Anywhere from four to seven times a year, our Earth, Moon and Sun line up just right to create the cosmic-scale shadow show known as an eclipse. The Moon's orbit around Earth is tilted relative to Earth's orbit around the Sun. This tilt is the reason why we have occasional eclipses instead of eclipses every month. There are two types of eclipses: lunar and solar. During a lunar eclipse, Earth’s shadow obscures the Moon. During a solar eclipse, the Moon blocks the Sun from view. 

                  The orbit of the Moon around Earth is inclined about 5.1° to Earth's orbit around the Sun. As a consequence, the Moon's orbit crosses the ecliptic at two points or nodes. If Full Moon takes place within about 17° of a node, then a lunar eclipse will be visible from a portion of Earth.  The Sun makes one complete circuit of the ecliptic in 365.24 days, so its average angular velocity is 0.99° per day. At this rate, it takes 345 days for the Sun - and at the opposite node, Earth's umbral and penumbral shadows - to cross the 34° wide eclipse zone centered on each node. 

A lunar eclipse so happening  is a celestial event which happens when Earth lines up directly between the sun and the moon. When this happens, Earth blocks the light from the sun to the moon. Earth's shadow then falls on the moon.    At least two lunar eclipses happen every year, though all of them may not be visible at some places of the earth. 

Tonight, a  Lunar eclipse is set to occur, just two weeks after a solar eclipse, and this Partial Lunar eclipse will be visible from all locations in India, beginning at 11:31 pm on October 28th." The duration of the eclipse is estimated to be 1 hour and 19 minutes, with the umbral phase starting at 01:05 am IST and concluding at 02:24 am IST on October 29th. Tonight's lunar eclipse will be visible in all Indian cities. It will also be visible in other Asian countries, Europe, Africa, and North America. We can see it in Chennai too.

If you remember that 3^rd para of this post about astronomers traveling to Sobral in Feb 1919  - it was to photograph a solar eclipse as it cut across South America, the Atlantic Ocean, and Africa.  The purpose of the expeditions, arranged by Frank Dyson of the Royal Greenwich Observatory and Arthur Eddington of Cambridge University, was to test Albert Einstein’s theory of general relativity, which had been published in 1915 and was regarded with skepticism by many scientists at that time.  

In 1916, Albert Einstein published his general theory of relativity in full mathematical detail. That opened the window on a radically new framework for physics, abolishing established notions of space and time and replacing Newton’s formulation of the laws of gravity. Einstein’s revolution was to change the course of science; but in the years immediately after publication, there was no definitive observational evidence that his theory was correct. Enter Arthur Stanley Eddington took on the task of proving it. By harnessing a total solar eclipse, he argued that the deflection, or bending, of light by the Sun’s gravity could be measured. This was a critical test, because Einstein’s theory predicted a deflection precisely twice the value obtained using Isaac Newton’s law of universal gravitation. The needed eclipse came 100 years ago, in 1919. Eddington is now forever associated with two expeditions to view it: from Sobral in northern Brazil, and the island of Príncipe off the coast of West Africa.  Einstein’s theory, eight years in the making, sprang from insights he had developed after he published his theory of special relativity in 1905.

My heart-felt tributes to Thirukkovil kainkaryabarar MA Balaji

‘Mr Munsamy oru  1.2.1’ - என்ற சுஜாதா கதை படித்து இருப்பீர்களா என தெரியாது !! 

இன்று ஐப்பசி சதயம் - திருவல்லிக்கேணியில் காலை ஸ்ரீபேயாழ்வார் பல்லக்கில் எழுந்தருளி, அவருடன் ஸ்ரீபார்த்தசாரதி எம்பெருமான் அவரது சன்னதிக்கு எழுந்தருளினார் - அவ்வமயம்  ஸ்ரீபார்த்தசாரதி கோவிலில் குழுமி இருந்த  திருவல்லிக்கேணி வாசிகளுக்கு ஓர் பேரிடி வந்திறங்கியது.  ஒரு பால்ய நண்பனின் மரணம் - வெறும் மறைவு அல்ல, தென்னாசார்ய ஸம்ப்ரதாயத்திற்கு ஒரு பேரிழப்பு. 

மெய்யூர் எனும் கிராமம் செங்கல்பட்டு மாவட்டத்தில் உள்ளது - அழகிய ஸ்ரீசுந்தரராஜப்பெருமாள் திருக்கோவில் உள்ள இடம்.  இந்த இடத்தை சொந்தமாக கொண்ட மெய்யூர் குடும்பத்தினரான ஸ்ரீ பாலாஜி ஸ்வாமி இன்று காலை 9 மணி அளவில் திருநாடு அலங்கரித்தது மிக மிக துக்கமான செய்தி.  ஸ்ரீ பார்த்தசாரதி எம்பெருமான்  திருவடிகளில் பல வருஷங்கள் இடைவிடா கைங்கர்யம் செய்த உன்னதமான கைங்கர்யபரர்.

 

உடன் பழகியோரிடையே  பெருமதிப்பை பெற்று அவர்களிடம் ஆழ்ந்த தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியவர்.  எனக்கு பள்ளிநாட்கள் முதலே அவரை நான் நன்கு அறிவேன்.  +2 படிப்பு முடிந்து நாங்கள் அனைவரும் கல்லூரி சென்று, பின்னாளில் பணத்தை தேடி ஓடி, சில பதவிகள் பெற்று பெருமிதம் கொண்ட காலத்தில், பாலாஜி தன் தனித்துவத்தை உணர்த்தினான்.  பள்ளி காலம் முடிந்து சில நாட்கள் சில வேலைகள் செய்தான்.  புகைப்படத்துறையில் கொண்ட ஆர்வத்தில் அந்நாளில் திருவல்லிக்கேணியில் பிரபலமாக இருந்த 'தஞ்சை மூர்த்தி ஸ்டூடியோவில்' பணியாற்றினான்.  புகைப்படம் எடுத்தல், நெகட்டிவ்களை பிரிண்ட் போடுதல் போன்ற திறமைகளையும் கற்றான். 

திருக்கோவில் கைங்கர்யத்தில் அதீத ஈடுபாடு கொண்டு - உள்துறை கைங்கர்யபரர் ஆனான்.  விரைவில், திருக்கோவிலில் - வஸ்த்ரகோட்டடி, திருமடைப்பள்ளி, சன்னதி கைங்கர்யம் என ஒவ்வொன்றையும் சிறப்புற செய்தான். இளம் வயதிலேயே சிகையுடன் முழு கைங்கர்யபரர் ஆகவும் திருக்கோவில் பணியாளராகவும் பணியாற்றினான்.  

பளிச்சென்று அழகான திருமண், தூய பஞ்சகச்சம் ஆடை, மேலும் சில நாட்களில் தகடி, சால்வை அணிந்து - திருக்கோவிலில் - அருளிச்செயல், உள்துறை, திருமஞ்சனக்குடம், ஸ்ரீபாதம், திருக்குடைகள்,  சாமரம் (திருத்தேரில் பிரதானமாக), கட்டியம் சேவித்தல் என அனைத்து கைங்கர்யங்களிலும்  மிளிர்ந்தான்.  திருமடைப்பள்ளி கைங்கர்யம், அதுவும் மிக உஷ்ண நிலையிலுள்ள பிரசாதங்களை கொண்ட பெரிய பாத்திரங்களை லாகவமாக கையாண்டு, பக்தர்களுக்கு சிந்தாமல், சரியாக ஒரே அளவில் விநியோகம் செய்த சிறப்பாளன்.  

அல்லிக்கேணி அருளிச்செயல் கோஷ்டி - திரு பாலாஜி இடது ஓரத்தில் - அவர் தந்தை வலது ஓரத்தில்.

 

இது தவிர வாகனங்கள் ஓட்டுதல், நல்ல பேச்சு திறம், அபார ஞாபக சக்தி, அலுவலக மேலாண்மை, படம்பிடித்தல் என பற்பல திறைமைகளை வெளிக்காட்டினான்.  முக்கியமாக எம்பெருமானுக்கு கைங்கர்யங்களில் அவனது ஈடுபாடும்,  உத்வேகமும், இளமை ததும்பும் ஆனந்தமும் - இவையெல்லாம் எப்படி என பிரமிக்க வைக்கும்.  திருக்கோவில் சம்பிரதாயத்தை நன்கு தெரிந்து கொண்டு, பல சபைகளில் நிர்வாகியாக, சம்பிரதாயத்தை காத்து, பக்தி மார்க்கத்தில் நிறைய இளைஞர்களை ஈடுபடுத்தினான் 

பெரிய குடும்பம் இவர்களது - தந்தை திரு மெய்யூர் ஆதி கோபாலகிருஷ்ணமாச்சார்; தாயார் (மறைந்த) திருமதி ஜெயமணி.  சகோதரர்கள் - திரு ரங்கராஜன், திரு முரளி, திரு நாராயணன், திரு, ரவி, திரு சடகோபன் மற்றும் ஸ்ரீமதி.  இவர்கள் குடும்ப ஒற்றுமையும் பாசப்பிணைப்பும் ஒரு சிறந்த முன்னுதாரணம்.  எங்கள் ஸ்ரீனிவாஸ் இளைஞர் நற்பணி சங்கத்தில் ஆரம்ப நாள் உறுப்பினர்; திருவல்லிக்கேணி பிராம்மணர் சங்க நிர்வாகி, திருக்கோவில் பஞ்சாங்கம், பிராம்மணர் சங்க பஞ்சாங்க வேலைகளை சிறப்புற புண்ணியவன் என நினைவலைகள் நீண்டு கொண்டே போகிறது.

 

திருக்குடை கைங்கர்யம் - ஸ்வாமி மணவாள மாமுனிகள் சாற்றுமுறை

  

சம்பிரதாய விஷயங்களை நன்கு அறிந்தவர் - திருக்கோவில் நடைமுறைகளை மனப்பாடமாக முறை மாறாமல் சொல்லவல்லவர். அனைவருடன் பழகியவர் எம்பெருமானிடத்தில் கைங்கர்யத்தில்   விசேஷ ஈடுபாட்டுடன், அவரைப் போன்று செய்வது மிகவும் கடினம். இன்று காலை திரு மெய்யூர் ஆதி சௌந்தரராஜன் எனும் பாலாஜி சுவாமி மறைந்து விட்டார் என்ற செய்தி பேரிடியாக இறங்கியது.  இவர் மறைவு வைகுந்தத்துக்கு ஏற்றம், இவ்வைஷ்ணவ உலகிற்கு பேர் இழப்பு. அவர் நித்திய விபூதியில் எம்பெருமான் கைங்கர்யத்துக்கு எழுந்தருளிவிட்டார். கைங்கர்யத்தால் நம்  மனதை கவர்ந்த   நம் பாலாஜி ஸ்வாமி இன்று தம் 59ம் வயதில் திருநாட்டை அலங்கரிக்க, திருவல்லிக்கேணிவாசிகள் நூற்றுக்கணக்கானோர் கண்ணீருடன் வழி அனுப்ப, சென்று விட்டார்.  

அவர் மறைவால் வாடும் அவர்தம் மனைவி, அவர் குமாரர் பதரி நாராயணன், அவர் சகோதரர்கள், சகோதரி, மற்ற உறவினருக்கு இந்த பிரிவை தாங்கும் மனோ பலத்தை அருளி, அவர்களை காத்தருள, நம் ஸ்ரீபார்த்தசாரதி எம்பெருமானை வேண்டுகிறேன்.  

A few years ago – happened to be at his home when SYMA’s news letter Bliss (of which Yours Truly was the Editor) was delivered.  He came down with a copy in his hands.  I queried him on why not he spend a few minutes to read ?   It was hardly couple of minutes as it had reached him – he spontaneously reproduced the Q that was on page 3 and commented on the answer on page 4 too.  A man capable of Fast reading much as Chitti, the humanoid in Rajni starrer Enthiran (Robot) would do!   Decades before that  Sujatha wrote in ‘Mr Munsamy oru  1.2.1’ – of  a roadside rickshaw puller acquiring  super memory by an injection that were to last only for a short period !!  

If my thoughts are incoherent, forgive me,  I knew Balaji for atleast 50+ years, interacted frequently, admired him for his youthful exuberance and committed kainkaryam.  Heard he was unwell and had been hospitalized – but knowing him, expected him to bounce back with renewed vigour.  Sad, he is no more !  

Triplicane would miss characters like him and a great loss to our Srivaishnava samprathayam.

Is Science the real truth over Belief and devotion !?!

ஒரு படத்தில் ஆரம்ப காட்சியில் விஞ்ஞானியாக தோன்றும் ஒருவர் மெய்ஞ்ஞானத்தை பற்றி பேசி படம் முழுவதும் மறைமுகமாக ஹிந்து இறைநம்பிக்கைகளை தங்குவார்.  பல நூற்றாண்டுகள் முன் சமய சண்டைகள் நடந்ததை பற்றியும் பேசுவார்.  உலகில் ஏனைய கலாச்சாரங்களில், சரித்திரங்களில் அத்தகைய மத போர்கள் பல லக்ஷக்கணக்கான உயிர்களை கொன்று குவித்ததை மட்டும் ஏனோ சாய்சில் விட்டுவிடுவார்.

 

உலகம் தோன்றி,  உயிரினங்கள் தோன்றி, உயிரினங்களின் பரிணாம வளர்ச்சியின் பேரில்  முதல் மனிதன் தோன்றி, மனிதர்கள்  பெருகி, மனிதன் சிந்திக்க கற்றுகொண்ட காலம் முதலாக மனித அறிவு வளர்ந்து வந்து இருக்கிறது. இந்த அறிவின் வளர்ச்சி காரணமாகவே; புது புது கண்டுபிடிப்புகளும்,  அறிவியல் புதுமைகளும்,   வளர்ந்து நின்று மானுட வாழ்வை மிளிரச் செய்துக் கொண்டு இருக்கின்றன.  அறிந்து கொள்ளுவதாகிய இந்த அறிவு, ஞானம் என்ற சொல்லாலும் குறிக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த அறிவாகிய ஞானம், இரண்டு வகையாக விஞ்ஞானம் மற்றது மெய்ஞானம் என பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.  

The argument of Science as the real truth over Belief and devotion has existed for long but has never won conclusively.  The mysteries of the human mind have proved a fascinating subject for millennia, as humanity has  striven to understand and anticipate people's behavior. Many of our older, popular theories about human nature came from religion.  In some religions, the mind is considered separate from our physical form and lives on after the body dies. 

These days, people overwhelmingly think that Science is less influenced by religion, there are umpteen theories on  the nature of the human mind.  There is -  Blank Slate theory, often attributed to seventeenth-century philosopher John Locke. It suggests that there is no inherent human nature – that humans  born with a clean slate, so to speak, and everything that makes us who we are gets picked up along the way.

 

For the well researched, Science can neverbe taken for granted -  to mistakenly believe there is a universal understanding of its importance and agreement about its value and function.  In the issue of Skeptical Inquirer,  there is a clear and sobering warning: “Unless there is a change in the Zeitgeist, and unless scientists finally find the courage to speak up against the toxic effects of ideology on their field, in a few decades science will be very different from what it is now. Indeed, it’s doubtful that we’d recognize it as science at all.”  That  article, “The Ideological Subversion of Biology,” highlights the damage that can come from trying to filter scientific inquiry through a political or ideological prism, in this case the progressive notion of “radical egalitarianism.” No matter how well intentioned it may be, they write, it threatens the very concept of scientific inquiry—and the foundation of academic freedom on which it rests.   

One of the threats to science, as it is described is the effort, seen in various places around the world, to treat it as equal to indigenous beliefs or as some unworthy artifact of Western colonialism.   Scientists both inside and outside the academy were among the first to begin politically purging their fields by misrepresenting or even lying about inconvenient truths. Campaigns were launched to strip scientific jargon of words deemed offensive, to ensure that results that could “harm” people seen as oppressed were removed from research manuscripts, and to tilt the funding of science away from research and toward social reform.  Science over centuries has been  heavily tainted with politics, as “progressive social justice” elbows aside our real job: finding truth.  

Evolution and genetics are often claimed to play no role in these differences. The  well-known “blank slate” ideology,  asserts that all humans, including males and females, are born with the propensity to behave in similar ways, and whatever behavioral or psychological differences we see among groups derive purely from socialization, including economic or environmental influences.

 

மெய்ஞ்ஞானம் சிறந்து விளங்கிய நம் பழம்பெரும் பாரத நாடு, ‘எழுமின், விழிமின்’! என்று விவேகானந்தர் போன்ற ஞானிகள் இளைஞர்களை எழுச்சியுறச் செய்ததன் விளைவு நம் நாடு இன்று விஞ்ஞானத்திலும், தலைசிறந்து உலக அரங்கில் உயர்ந்ததொரு நிலையில் பாரத மாதாவின் மணிமகுடமாக மின்னிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது. 

கடவுள் இருக்கிறாரா !!  - பக்தி இலக்கியம், மெய்ஞ்ஞானம் போன்றவற்றை விட அறிவியல் ஒன்றே சிறந்தது என்போர்க்கு - அறிவியல் கண்டுபிடிப்புகள் சமுதாயத்திற்க்கு பெரு நலன்கள் தந்த போதிலும், காலப்போக்கில் முன்னம் சிறப்பாக அறியப்பட்டது, பின்னாளில் வேறு பிரபல விஞ்ஞானிகளால் தவறு எனவும் கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளது !!  சில சமயங்களில் - இயற்கையின் சீற்றம், ஆழிப்பேரலை, தீநுண்மி போன்றவை முன்னர் அறிவியல் தத்தளித்துள்ளதும் கூட, ஜகத் அறிந்த விஷயமே !!. 

 

அறிவியலை புறந்தள்ள வேண்டாம் !  -  ஆனால் நம் பக்தி இலக்கியங்கள் காட்டிய இறைநெறியில் எம்பெருமானுக்கு கைங்கர்யங்கள் செய்து வாழ்வதே நமக்கு பரிபூர்ண வாழ்வை அளிக்கும். 

Life at Divyadesam offers plentiful opportunities to be with Emperuman and do kainkaryam – we have darshan of Emperuman so frequently that we start feeling positive and blessed – on days, when we do not get opportunity to serve Him – think of Him, take solace in seeing His pictures –  here are some photos of Sri Parthasarathi Emperuman taken during Kodai uthsava purappadu day 2 on 30^th June 2022

பொன்மாலை பொழுது !  இன்றைய நாள் சென்று விட்டது.  வாழ்வில் மற்றும் ஓர் நாள் !!  நன்றாக சென்றதா !  வெறுமனே சென்றதா! வீணாக சென்றதா! -  ஆழ்மனசு அறியும்.  கண்ணை மூடி தியானித்தால் கண்ணபெருமான் - எவ்வளவு வீணர்களாக சத்தற்ற விஷயங்களுக்கு சண்டையிட்டு, ஆத்திரப்பட்டு, நாட்களை வீணாக்கியுள்ளோம் !!    ஊத்துக்காடு வேங்கட கவி  இயற்றிய  ஸ்வாகதம் கிருஷ்ணா..  மோஹனம்  ராகத்தில் [தாளம்: ஆதி]  கேட்டு லயித்ததுண்டா !!

பொதுவாக கர்நாடக இசை  கீர்த்தனைகள் மக்களிடையே நல்ல வரவேற்பைப் பெறுவதற்குப் பல காரணங்கள் உண்டு. அவற்றில் முக்கியமானது அது சொல்லும் பொருளும் அப்பொருளை இனிதாக உணர்த்தும் இசைப்போக்கும் (tune/melody) ஆகும்.  ஊத்துக்காடு வேங்கட கவி  வரிகளில் - அர்த்தம், ஆழ்ந்த அனுபவம், துள்ளும் ஜதிகள் என பல சங்கதிகள். 

ஊத்துக்காடு வெங்கட சுப்பையர்,  திருவாரூர் மாவட்டத்தில் தக்ஷண துவாரகை எனும் மன்னார்குடியில் பிறந்தார்.    இவர் வளர்ந்த இடம் தேனுஜவாசபுரம் என அழைக்கப்படும் ஊத்துக்காடாகும்.   இந்த ஊர் திருவாருர் மாவட்டம், வலங்கைமான் தாலுக்காவில் கும்பகோணத்திலிருந்து திருக்கருகாவூர் வழியாக தஞ்சாவூர் செல்லும் வழியில் அமைந்துள்ளது. இவரின் தந்தையார் ராமச்சந்திர வாதுளர், தாயார் கமலநாராயணி. பிறந்தது, ஆவணி மாத மக நட்சத்திரம். இவரது காலம் தஞ்சையை ஆண்ட பிரதாபசிம்பன் காலம். இவரது சன்மார்க்க குரு கிருஷ்ணர்.  தமிழிசையில் கிருஷ்ணன் மீது பல்வேறு சுவையான பாடல்களைப் நெக்குருக இயற்றியவர் இவர்.  கர்நாடக இசை வடிவில் உணர்ச்சிப் பிரவாகத்தில் கண்ணன் சந்நிதியில் அவனை நேரில் பார்த்து, பேசி, உணர்ந்து, மகிழ்ந்த நிலையில் பலதரப்பட்ட பாடல்கள், அத்தனையும் தமிழுக்கு ஓர் புது வழியைக் காண்பித்த பாடல்கள்.  நூற்றுக்கணக்கான அவருடைய பாடல்கள்   இப்போது உள்ளன - இன்னும் எத்தனையோ கிடைக்காமலும்  போயிருக்கலாம். தமிழ், சமஸ்கிருதம் மராத்தி இப்படி பன்மொழிப் புலமையோடு அவர் பாடல்கள் இருக்கின்றன.    இவருடைய பாடல்களை இவரது வம்சத்தில் வந்த நீடாமங்கலம் கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி பாகவதர் என்பார் பாடிக் காப்பாற்றி வந்துள்ளார்.  

ஆடாது அசங்காது வா கண்ணா, அலை பாயுதே கண்ணா, தாயே யசோதா உந்தன் ஆயர் குலச் சிறுவன் போன்ற பாடல்கள் மிகப் புகழ்பெற்றவை. கண்ணனை குழந்தையாக பாவித்து அவன் குறும்புகளை, லீலைகளை எழுதியிருப்பார். பாகவதத்தில் வருணிக்கப் படும் கண்ணனின் லீலைகளே பெரும்பாலும் அவரால் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.  

கிருஷ்ணனை ஸ்வாகதம் சொல்லி வரவேற்றால் வருவது யாராக இருக்கும் ! - நம் பார்த்தசாரதி பெருமாள் தானே! - அவனே ஆநிரை மேய்த்தவன், அவனே கம்சனால் அனுப்பப்பட்ட அசுரர்களை வரிசையாக அழித்தவன், அவனே கோவர்தனம் ஏந்தி காப்பாற்றினவன், அவனே பாண்டவர்களுக்கு தூது சென்று, பாரதப்போர்தனிலே பார்த்தனுக்கு சாரதியாக பகவத் கீதை எனும் அற்புத வாழ்வியல் பாடமளித்தவன்

Navarathiri celebrations 2023 @ Dusi Mamandur

India lives in villages and our Sanathana dharma still thrives in villages.  Approx 9 kilometers away from the famous Kachi, after the river Palar lies the village of Mamandur,  for easy identification called as “Dusi Mamandur”.    In this serene village, is the small but beautiful temple of Lord Lakshmi Narayanar.    The Moolavar is Sri Arulmigu  Lakshmi Narayanar – Perumal in sitting posture having Sri Lakshmi on his lap.  Uthsavar is Shri Lakshmi Narayanar and Thayar is Sundaravalli Thayar.

 

புரட்டாசி மாதம் ஒரு புனித மாதம்; பக்தர்களுக்கு சிறந்த மாதம். எல்லா ஸ்ரீவைஷ்ணவ தலங்களிலும் பக்தர்கள் கூட்டம் அலைமோதும்.  திருவேங்கடவன் இப்புவியில் அவதரித்த மாதம் ஆனதால் பக்தர்கள் திருமலை திருப்திக்கு திரளாக சென்று வணங்குகின்றனர்.   புரட்டாசி மாதத்தில் திருமலையில் "பிரம்மோத்சவம்" சிறப்புற நடைபெறுகிறது. புரட்டாசி மாதத்தில்தான் "நவராத்திரி" வருகிறது.  புரட்டாசி வளர்பிறை பிரதமை முதல் நவமி வரை ஒன்பது நாட்கள் கொண்டாடப்படும் விழா நவராத்திரி விழா.

The festival of “Navarathri  comes at the ascendence of moon in the month of Purattasi.  Today starts 2023 Navarathri festival.

The tamil month of Purattasi has a pride of place – today 14.10.2023 is Purattasi Sanivaram 4.  

நான் யார் நான் யார் நீ யார் ?  நாலும் தெரிந்தவர் யார் யார்

நான் யார் நான் யார் நீ யார்  ??

உள்ளார் புசிப்பார் இல்லார் பசிப்பார் உதவிக்கு யார் யாரோ ?

நல்லார் தீயார் உயர்ந்தார் தாழ்ந்தார் நமக்குள் யார் யாரோ ?

அடிப்பார் வலியார் துடிப்பார் மெலியார் தடுப்பார் யார் யாரோ ?

எடுப்பார் சிரிப்பார் இழப்பார் அழுவார் எதிர்ப்பார் யார் யாரோ ?

எதிர்ப்பார் யார் யாரோ ?

 

குடியிருந்த கோவில் படத்தில் புலமைப்பித்தனின் பாடல் வரிகள்.  இந்த படத்தில் ஆடலுடன் பாடலை கேட்டு பாட்டுக்கு நடனமாடிய L.விஜயலக்ஷ்மி என்பவர் பட்டயக் கணக்காளர்  என்பது தமிழ் சினிமா பார்க்கும் நல்லுலகம் அறியுமா !!  

சிலருக்கு மக்கள் சேர்ந்துள்ள இடத்தில் நிற்கும்போது கேட்க விழையும் கேள்வி  -  "நான் யார்" தெரியுமா ?  -  இந்த கேள்வியில் நான், எனது பதவி, என் அந்தஸ்து, மதிப்பு, மரியாதை என பல ஆணவங்கள் தொக்கி நிற்கின்றன !!  

என்ன பதில் தருவோம் !!  -  என் பெயர், என் குடும்பம், என் தந்தை / தாய் / எனது பாட்டன், முப்பாட்டன்கள் - என் செல்வநிலை, எனது படிப்பு, நான் செய்யும் வேலை, நான் வாங்கும் சம்பளம், என் பண பலம், என் அந்தஸ்து, என் வீடு, வாகனங்கள், என் அறிவு !!    என்றெல்லாம் விவரம் சொல்கிறோம்.  உண்மையில் இவை அனைத்தும் நிலையற்றன !  இவற்றை விட மிக அதிகமாக உடையோர் அங்கேயே இருக்கலாம் ! - மேலும் இவற்றால் அவர்களுக்கு என்ன பயன் !   

நான் யார்? என்பது   இரமண மகரிசி வழங்கிய உபதேசம்  குறித்த தன்னிலை விளக்கம், நூலாக வெளியிடப்பட்டது. தன்னை அறிய தனக்கு ஒரு கேடில்லை என்ற அழிவில்லாத நித்திய பேரின்ப சித்திப் பெருவாழ்வே பயன் என தமது திருமந்திரத்தில் திருமூலர் கூறியுள்ளார்.  தேகம் நான் என்கிற எண்ண வலையைத் தாண்டி ஆத்ம சொரூபமே நான்என்னும் இறுதிப்பாடு வருவதுதான் ஞானம் என  தாண்டவராய சுவாமிகள் கைவல்ய நவநீதத்தில் கூறியுள்ளார்.   

Benjamin Engel, a hacker from Berlin, sits in an interrogation room. The officer in charge tells Hanne Lindberg, Head of the Cyber Division of Europol, that Benjamin asked to conduct the interrogation. Benjamin says that he has information regarding FR13NDS, a notorious hacking group connected to the Russian cyber mafia, and MRX, an infamous hacker known on Darknet; he tells her that he could give them both to Hanne if she listens to him. Having no choice, Hanne sits down.  

Benjamin tells Hanne that he is like a superhero: like many heroes, he, too, has no parents; he never met his father as he abandoned the family when Benjamin was born, and his mother committed suicide when he was 8. He lives alone with his ailing grandmother. He regards his "superpower" as invisibility, as he was never noticed by most people during his childhood, due to him being socially backward. He says he learned programming and hacked his first system when he was 14. Though he felt like a loser in real life, he felt a sense of belonging on the Internet. While spending most of his time on Darknet, he met his hacking hero, MRX, whose identity no one knows and who can hack into any system. Benjamin aspires to be like him.  

பக்தி என்பது என்ன ?  புரட்டாசி அடியார்களுக்கான மாதம்.  ஒவ்வொரு தெருவிலும், காலை வேளையில் கோவிந்தா நாமம் ஒலிக்கும்.  எம்பெருமான் நாமங்களை கூவி அழைத்து, அவன் சின்னத்தை நெற்றியில் அணிந்து, ஆனந்தமாய் திருமாலடியார்கள் மிடுக்குடன் பவனி வருவர்.  திருமலை போன்ற அற்புத திவ்யதேசத்திலே - கோவிந்த நாமமதை உச்சஸ்தாயில் விளித்து ஆனந்தமாய் பண் பாடுவர்களிடத்தில், படிப்போ, செல்வமோ, குலமோ வேறு எதுவோ முக்கியமில்லை.  எம்பெருமான் அடியார்கள் என்பது மட்டுமே அடையாளம்.  அவ்வாறு திருவேங்கடவனையே நினைத்து, அவன் திருநாமம் பாடி வருபவர்களே உண்மையான ஸ்ரீவைணவர்கள்.  

பக்திப்பரவசத்திலே முன்பு நிற்கும் பெரியாழ்வாரின் - பெரியாழ்வார் திருமொழி பாசுரம் ஒன்று இங்கே :

நன்மை தீமைகள்  ஓன்றும் அறியேன்  நாரணா  என்னும் இத்தனையல்லால்

புன்மையால்  உன்னைப் புள்ளுவம் பேசிப் புகழ்வான் அன்றுகண்டாய் திருமாலே!

உன்னுமாறுஉன்னை ஒன்றும் அறியேன் ஓவாதே  நமோ நாரணா என்பன்

வன்மையாவது  உன் கோயிலில் வாழும் வைட்டணவனென்னும்

ச்ரிய: பதியானவனே!, ஸ்ரீமன் நாராயணனே !  -  உம்மை  கோபாலா, கோவிந்தா, ‘நாராயணா!’ என்று கூப்பிடுதலை தவிர,  மற்று எந்த நன்மை தீமைகளையும்   நான் அறிந்தவனில்லை.   என் போன்ற சாதாரணர்களுக்கு  இயற்கையாக உள்ள அற்பத்தனத்தினால்,  உயர்ந்த  உன்னைக் குறித்து வஞ்சகமான சொற்களைச் சொல்லி புகழுவனல்லன் யான்.   உன்னை மட்டுமே  இடைவிடாது ஸ்மரித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கத்தக்க வழிகளில் ஒரு வழியையும் யான்  அறிந்தேனில்லை; ஒரு நொடிப்பொழுதும்  ஒழிவின்றி (இடைவிடாமல்)   "நமோ நாராணாய" என்ற நாமத்தை சொல்லும்  அடியேனுக்கு மிடுக்காவது  உன் திருவடி நிழலில் வாழும், உன் திருக்கோவில்களில் கைங்கர்யம் பண்ணும்  வைஷ்ணவன் என்கிற மிடுக்கோடு இருப்பவன் நான் -  என பெருமையுறுகிறார் நம் பெரியாழ்வார்.

 

The description of Benjamin Angel described earlier is the plot of – “Who Am I”  a  German techno-thriller film directed by Baran bo Odar released in 2014.  It is centered on a computer hacker group in Berlin geared towards global fame !!  One would tend to understand -  “Never hide behind your computer. Man’s the main security flaw.” Social engineering is “hacking” people to enter unauthorized locations via psychological manipulation.  The movie emphasizes -  don’t click on weird links on your emails!  In the film Clay  exploits an employee of the BND by phishing, which is acquiring sensitive information under the guise of another entity. Sometimes, you really don’t need to click on that link labeled “super cute parrot pictures.”
